Need advice bro Hikvision intercom using cat 6 and nice gate motor what cable goes to motor to open the gate? I tried to connect Green and blue from front station to sbs on motor but it stops the remote control from working, and it doesn't do anything any ideas?
You need a power line for the motor and a 8 wires cable for the network (look for "Ethernet cable"), any existing multiwire cable can be used if there is already one for instance for an old intercom. I repurposed such intercom cable to connect to the switch I located in the garage between the street intercom and the appliance at home. Basically I used the existing cable, replaced the street simple intercom by this one (it can control the motor too) and replaced the home handset by the video display. Inbetween there is a PoE (Power on Ethernet) switch that both powers both appliances (through the same lines) and connect them to the home Ethernet network (a 3rd Ethernet line goes to the Internet provider box).
@@EISElectrical What wiring did you do? i.e. NO/NC/COM from Doorstation, to Gate controller NO/NC/COm etc? ive got mine installed but gates not opening lol. Thanks
@@andrewkemp4583 The street intercom has a controller to trigger the gates motor. It works like an on/off switch and you just have to connect the right ports of the intercom to the right ports of the gate control cabinet.
Brilliant guys
thank you
👍👍👍👍👍
What's the height the intercom was installed at as I'm wondering if in my case it wouldn't be to low?

Could this be configured to open & close the gate from the indoor station/app? Many thanks.
