Got mine from Amazon for $1050 back in December. One of the main selling points aside from the excellent price was the extra storage options. I immediate threw in an extra 1 TB NVMe and a 2 TB SSD. Most other laptops at the time with similar specs were considerably higher in price and offered much less storage upgrade options with even one with no extra storage option (which would force me to clone and transfer to newer drive which I wanted to avoid). All in all I'm pleased with my purchase. Can run hot but using throttlestop to disable turbo boost jeeps my CPU at around 80 C. GPU is normally in the high 70's with most games, but playing any of the last 3 Call of Dutys (and Warzone) spikes my temps to around 85/86 C). Definitely invest in a laptop riser to keep the laptop raised to allow better ventilation.

Hey there. I ordered the A5 K1, similar to this. Anything I'll need to do out of the box? I plan on rolling it back to Win10. Not wanting Win11 BS. That won't cause any issues will it? Anyways any advice on undervolt or tips on keep g it cool would be appreciated. I'm a bit of a noob.

@@twistfire74 Greetings. My unit came with Win 10 so I can't help much in that regard. By default the KC's voltage settings are locked in Bios. Not sure if the same applies to the A5 but there is a video here on YT how to unlock it. All I've done for my unit was going into Power options >> Change plan settings >> Change advanced power settings >> Processor power management and change "maximum processor state " to 95 along with using throttlestop (program) to disable power boost. Since doing that my CPU temps stay in the high 70's/low 80's as well as my GPU. Prior to that my CPU temps would reach to 100 C.
      Hope this helped.

Got this one but with a 11th gen (G5 KD) on April 4th and everything was fine until some day i connected the AC adapter and it immediately shut down but the leds remained powered on (except the power button), i tried turning it on but it wont do so until i disconnect / reconnect the AC adapter. My laptop's friend (who also has the same model) he doesn't have this issue...
A few days ago, starting the day when i try to turn it on it only powers the leds and usb ports, but the computer wont event boot or wont spin their fans until i hard-resetted several times...
Today, the thing wont get fixed by hard resetting... already called GIGABYTE and i will send the laptop so i can get a quote (because i already opened it for installing a HDD and a 2nd NVMe, i have opened so many laptops to upgrade them, this couldn't be a mistake)
Also today my friend (who also bought the same laptop the same day as me) he's also getting the first symptom...
People. give me you good wishes please, but i hope this information helps someone to decide their buying options, i'll keep this post updated frequently.
UPDATE #1: GIGABYTE told me thay they ordered a motherboard replacement... guess it went thru warranty service (in other words, the repair was free)
UPDATE #2 (1 Jul): Finally after 50 days of waiting i received the laptop, the mobo got replaced for free and they added again the warranty seals on the two screws even after i broke them for opening the lap (wow) and they factory-resetted the lap (because i got asked and i accepted)... But now i get BSODs saying "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" and "VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR", i did recovery using "sfc /scannow" and "dism blabla" and now the "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" error is gone, but it still get BSODs with the "VIDEO" code error... i reinstalled W11 and same results, i installed W10 and same result, but the error dissapeared when i installed by myself the Nvidia drivers and i didnt got any BSODs yet, but i still need to keep testing it... definitely i fuqqin hate laptops, if everything is alright im gonna sell this mf
UPDATE #3 (12 Jul): Gotta send again the laptop to Gigabyte as the GPU gets unrecognizable and BSODs when it's unplugged

I bought a brand new Gigabyte g5. Not too long after, I realized something is wrong with the keyboard. Whenever I hold the left or right arrows to scroll along a text on word/google docs, weird stuff happens. The keyboard randomly inputs "6" and that symbol---> `. Or it randomly pops up the search bar. Or it randomly kicks into select and highlights everything I scroll over. I created an RMA, sent the laptop back to the manufacturer, and they allegedly swapped out my keyboard for a new one. Not only did it return with the problem still there, but it actually got worse. AND the laptop gave me multiple bluescreen errors, which forced me to reset it and update the bios before it was functional. Has anyone else run into keyboard problems with gigabyte laptops? I've tried everything. I am losing my sanity over here.
