It's remarkable how what Paul faced is still an issue in many churches today. Since I started the journey of relearning the Bible through the lens of grace, the Bible has never been more clearer. Colossians is my favourite book of the bible! Chapter 3 is such an amazing passage, underrated if anything, shows practically how Christians should be living their everyday lives

I love how thr Illustrations start out so small and insignificant, then it zooms out at the end, and you see the whole giant masterpiece. I believe that's what God does with our lives. The trials, hurts, victories, joys... Everuthing slowly but surely being pieced to man's marvel.... And God's Glory. Hallelujah!!!!
This animated summary is an excellent tool for simplifying and stressing the key concepts and teachings found in Colossians. It perfectly captures the essence of Paul's message, making it easier for me to comprehend and remember the main principles he transmits. I just love it.

They shall obtain joy and gladness; sorrow and sighing shall flee away.” (Isaiah 51:11) WORDS BY: JESUS "How do you obtain a life of joy and gladness? When you have nothing left to be sorrowful for. How do you have sorrow and sighing flee from you? You must return to Me. How do you return to Me, having been a slave to bondage? You must reckon yourself dead to sin. How do you become dead to something that is very much alive in your life? Just as you would stop the practices of the Spirit and become complacent in your walk, you can stop the practices of the carnal nature by becoming diligent in the Spirit. How? By setting your heart on the things above and not on the things of the Earth. This is the challenge of humanity. What will you set your heart on? It all comes down to desire and choice. Earth is only momentary; given so you can prove your worth for eternity. To live for such a small lifespan is loss and you will miss the fullness of what I have in stall for you. If you want to walk worthy of Me fully pleasing Me, being fruitful in every good work, then live your life grounded and steadfast in the faith, not forgetting the hope of the gospel. Your hope is what comes from above not beneath. The reason many find themselves in lack is because they are too encumbered by the natural things of life and pay little attention to the spiritual. Therefore, I challenge you, where am I in your choices? Are you running to and fro without My consideration? Am I Headship over your life? As many as are led by the Spirit they are the sons. To be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Attain this by setting your hope on the things unseen and the fruits of joy and gladness will follow."
these smaller books allow you to spend more time dissecting individual passages which shows just how dense and beautiful they are. this and the overview of Philippians are the best Bible Project videos i've seen so far

First of all thank you for the video I love it! I just see one thing here... the scandal of grace and the cross and our co crucifiction-death-resurrection with him is that we dont have to live "as though the new creation has already arrived" because in it already arrived in Christ! The new creation of humanity and the cosmos happened in one moment on the cross. Despite what we see in circumstances and world situations the redemption of man was fully accomplished by the blood of Jesus. Any attempt to push the full effect of the cross off to another date in the future is the voice of religion and not a finished work perspective which we have been invited into. To see as God sees through the lense of CHRIST

Amen. First Christians have to understand there is Law of God and Law of Moses. Law of God/ Book of Covenant, written by Yah Himself- kept inside the Ark Moses' law wrote by Moses kept outside of Ark (Deu 31:26). Paul was pointing that this *Moses' law was against us,* we no longer have to keep them because Yahusha nailed it to the cross. having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that *was against us,* which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Colossians 2:14 “Take this Book of the Law, and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there as a *witness against you;* Deuteronomy 31:26 Now in New Covenant, believers must obey God's covenant commandment. But Moses' law is optional. For example: The command, 'Do not steal' is from Covenant laws and we must obey it. But a woman must go in quarantine or we say as confinement period after gives birth is from set of Moses' law. We can choose to obey or not. Some mothers rest 60 days or some 90 days confinement, it's depends on them. This law is optional. Anyway law of Moses is given to a group of people who just came out of slavery whom soon will form a greatest nation in the world. In order to that, Yah gave the ADDED laws to Moses. This is wisdom for us. Deu 4:5-8
This video really opens up a lot of perspective, except for the Col 2 part, there weren't really jews in the Colossae region, jews never mingled with gentiles , and even up to this day, jews never force their laws on anyone other than jews, the Christian Colossians did keep the Sabbaths and did avoid unclean foods, pagans then judged them according to these things, so Paul told them to not listen to those accusations of the pagans, Paul never preached against any of the Torah, it still remains, Mat 5:17
Interesting, so you're saying Paul is actually telling them to not focus on giving account to others outside the faith on whether they're keeping it well? I'm not trying to be combative, just curious for clarification. It makes sense.
Most of us did not grow up in a household like the one Paul describes here, that's okay. We can all change who we are. We must change who we are. If you think that's impossible I say it is possible. Turn to God/Jesus and it will happen.

I just see one thing here... the scandal of grace and the cross and our co crucifiction-death-resurrection with him is that we dont have to live "as though the new creation has already arrived" because in it already arrived in Christ! The new creation of humanity and the cosmos happened in one moment on the cross. Despite what we see in circumstances and world situations the redemption of man was fully accomplished by the blood of Jesus. Any attempt to push the full effect of the cross off to another date in the future is the voice of religion and not a finished work perspective which we have been invited into. To see as God sees through the lense of CHRIST

First Christians have to understand there is Law of God and Law of Moses.
Law of God/ Book of Covenant, written by Yah Himself- kept inside the Ark
Moses' law wrote by Moses kept outside of Ark (Deu 31:26).
Paul was pointing that this *Moses' law was against us,* we no longer have to keep them because Yahusha nailed it to the cross.
having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that *was against us,* which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
Colossians 2:14
“Take this Book of the Law, and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there as a *witness against you;* Deuteronomy 31:26
Now in New Covenant, believers must obey God's covenant commandment. But Moses' law is optional.
For example:
The command, 'Do not steal' is from Covenant laws and we must obey it.
But a woman must go in quarantine or we say as confinement period after gives birth is from set of Moses' law. We can choose to obey or not. Some mothers rest 60 days or some 90 days confinement, it's depends on them. This law is optional.
Anyway law of Moses is given to a group of people who just came out of slavery whom soon will form a greatest nation in the world. In order to that, Yah gave the ADDED laws to Moses. This is wisdom for us. Deu 4:5-8
This video really opens up a lot of perspective, except for the Col 2 part, there weren't really jews in the Colossae region, jews never mingled with gentiles , and even up to this day, jews never force their laws on anyone other than jews, the Christian Colossians did keep the Sabbaths and did avoid unclean foods, pagans then judged them according to these things, so Paul told them to not listen to those accusations of the pagans, Paul never preached against any of the Torah, it still remains, Mat 5:17
Interesting, so you're saying Paul is actually telling them to not focus on giving account to others outside the faith on whether they're keeping it well? I'm not trying to be combative, just curious for clarification. It makes sense.

Most of us did not grow up in a household like the one Paul describes here, that's okay. We can all change who we are. We must change who we are. If you think that's impossible I say it is possible. Turn to God/Jesus and it will happen.
