Hey man, were you able to find somewhere that rents kayaks there? The only places I talked to just had like the double tour kayaks, nothing to fish in.
So I’m heading down to Costa Rica the 16th of next month what size jig and Paddletails would be best to target roosters. I already bought two yozuri poppers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have an 8 foot medium heavy rod and a daiwa i bG 3000. Will that be enough backbone for those fish. Oh and by the way awesome video
@@TiggsTailsFishing should be just fine! As it’s rainy season currently the water may be brown so try and find the clearest water you can find if you want a rooster. For snook though it doesn’t matter
Looks like very little fishing pressure What town are you fishing near…? Drove the pan American hiway to Chile…action at almost every beach on pacific side.
@@josiahknapp7198 my experience was the only person on a beach or standing on a coral bluff…casting out and getting hits on every cast…..sometimes a sneaker wave would knock me silly and my legs would get thrashed by the sharp coral…wasn’t chumming for sharks either.
You live in CR? I'm headed to Samara in a little over a month. Hoping to get on a boat fishing. Google only shows me there's a few to go with. Do you have any suggestions for Samara? Or, if there's a better way than booking a high priced charter?
About to go to Costa Rica for a diving course and gonna bring my fishing gear with me to fish if the beach in playas del coco. What size line would you recommend and do I need a liscense to fish of the beach there ?

what baits would you use for surf fishing from the shore going jaco in april
and a good spot in you have one e rented a place on jaco beach
paddle tails for the beach and poppers and rapala xraps or yozuris for the rocks

I usually use 3/4 ounce to 1 ounce with 5 inch No Live Bait Needed paddletails
I use an 8 foot heavy shimano Terramar and a 5k BG
@@josiahknapp7198 Thanks for the info I upgraded to a 4000 BG with 30 pound test 1 ounce jig heads and huge Paddletails
And a strong medium heavy rod that can sling up to 2 1/4 ounce lures

Oh no trust me there’s a lot of pressure haha I just go to a part that doesn’t have much people. But it’s actually very overfished here

I don't know that region well but next time you can just ask around town too and someone will point you in the right direction.

I've never had to buy a license even though technically you're supposed to but I've never had an issue with it in my 18 years of living in CR

Sorry for responding so late but I preferably like using 7 to 8 foot rods. Putting in a lot of time is your best friend here
