If I'm on a boat, then I ice the fish down. But when fishing on shore, I just place the fish in a cool shady spot, or I just call it quits early and walk home with the fish, which is what I did with this cubera.
really good guy and lovely family we tried hard from shore battered by thew waves without much success but we all went out on a boat and noah showed us how its done catching a decent corbina we caught well off boats later in the holiday across the way....inc rooster! but nothing like what you've achieved, awesome results

Hey Al, unfortunately I'm not familiar with the Tamaraindo area. I was in the Golfo Dulce. The fishing is generally pretty good year around in the Dulce.

How do you clean your reel after bathing with it?
The Van Staal reel I used in this video has a sealed drag, so saltwater and sand does not affect the reel at all.

I'm really not sure Zyn. This cubera was a rogue fish and is the only one I've ever caught from shore. I'm told they are typically caught from boats.
