    I think the Saudi man using a stroller made fair comments about the KL walkways, which used to be a common source of complaints from a disabled person like myself living in KL. Not only are the pathways unsuitable for wheelchairs and strollers, but most of them are also narrow and used for motorcycle parking, which makes finding our way around even more challenging. The relevant authorities haven't addressed to the complaints that have been made on RUclips thus far, possibly because they haven't watched it.

    • @JoanKSX
      @JoanKSX Месяц назад +7

      True.
      After seeing some Taiwanese and American disabled channels,
      I realise that Malaysia too facing great obstacle for the disabled.
      For example, the basic car parking lot for the disabled.
      Basically it's unrealistically small LOL
      In Malaysia it's basically the same parking lot sizing as the normal car parking lot LOL
      And they expect wheelchaired driver to get out from the car roof I guess when the surrounding parking just fully parked LMAO

      @noordinbeldenlex1620 Месяц назад +1

      @@JoanKSX - Fortunately, I am able to walk normally with a stick on a level pathway with few gradients, even though I am an elderly disabled person who has had both of my legs amputated. I avoided the small, uneven pathways beside the roadside where bikers park and only used my auto wheelchair in large malls. The fact that there are accessible parking lots and restrooms is acceptable to me because these facilities are required by Malaysian law for all newly built structures. The pathways, which can be challenging to manage throughout most of KL, are my first concern. I hope that when our City Hall decides to fix the walkways, they will take the fact that we are taxpayers into account as well.

      In Malaysia you need certain permit to stock and sell alcoholic drinks or to open pubs, bars and shop selling or serving alcohol.
      One of the conditions is to puf up advertisements in the local papers to announce your intention to operate such outlets in a neighbourhood. The authority will not grant the permit if there are objections by the community.

    Abstrak Dalam konteks pelancongan bandar, keselamatan pelancong adalah kebimbangan penting yang boleh mempengaruhi aliran masuk pelancong antarabangsa ke banyak bandar raya di seluruh Malaysia Kehadiran polis pelancong di kawasan bandar menyediakan bantuan utama kepada pelancong antarabangsa.Kejadian yang tidak diingini melibatkan pelancong sebagai mangsa memberi kesan negatif kepada industri pelancongan secara keseluruhannya.Tidak dapat tidak, kawasan yang kerap berlaku jenayah di bandar akan berakhir sebagai "kawasan yang tidak dikunjungi" walaupun terdapat laman web pelancongan yang memperkenalkan kepentingan lokasi pelancongan ini.Boleh dikatakan, bandar-bandar yg lebih 'tua' dgn ciri² warisan bandar penting menampilkan bangunan mewakili era seni bina yang berbeza. Namun, ini adalah elemen² pelancongan bandar yang pihak berkuasa tempatan sangat berminat untuk mempromosi. Oleh itu, kajian ini meneliti persepsi pelancong antarabangsa dan kebimbangan mereka terhadap keselamatan dan kesejahteraan di lokasi pelancongan pusat bandaraya Kuala Lumpur. Data primer diperolehi melalui soal selidik berstruktur dan temu bual seramai 201 pelancong antarabangsa yang dipilih. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa terdapat beberapa isu yang berkaitan dengan keselamatan dan kesejahteraan pelancong antarabangsa di tapak pelancongan pusat bandaraya Kuala Lumpur. Sebagai langkah ke hadapan kajian ini mencadangkan agar program bandar selamat yang sedang dilaksanakan dikaji semula, diperkasakan dan dijadikan lebih berkesan lagi. Katakunci: jenayah bandar, pelancongan bandar, pelancongan selamat, pencegahan jenayah, Pusat Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, tapak warisan bandar Kuala Lumpur.

    I really don't see the point of many of Ben Fishermin's videos, and tired of people comparing Malaysia or KL to other countries and cities. I travel the world to get different experiences different places and cultures offer, and I don't compare, because each country, infrastructure, culture, social fabric, level of development etc is different.

      It is not a good idea really bring a child along in a stroller travelling around. It is not in their best interest. In fact the parents are not thinking seriously.
      If indeed the parents really care, why not carry the child on their bodies instead of putting the child in a stroller.

    Also do consider visiting the islands like Redang! They are beautiful!

    At 12:59 - you want to take the train out of Bukit Bintang and go a few stations away (or take the monorail to KL Sentral) and then order GRAB/MOVE/etc from there. It will cost you less time and less money by doing so. The traffic in Bukit Bintang gets so congested by taxis parking indiscriminately on already very busy roads that e-hailing drivers find it very difficult to pick up and drop off passengers in that area.

      To be fair, this Saudi is speaking the truth, Malaysia side walk and pavement is very bad compare to other major city. kL is already the best spot in malaysia, if you come to Sabah , our pedestrians infrastructure is even more shocking. We don't even have proper lighting along side of the road, let alone a traffic lights that works or a street without litters or pot holes.

    The Saudi guy needs a hug, or see a therapist?... Grab is insanely cheap, you book it, they put the stroller in the trunk, they drop you wherever you want, and boom that's it. Each person can have its opinion, but saying that KL is not convenient for a family is as nonsensical than saying Arabic food is bad.

      The Saudi guy is comparing KL to Phuket not Bangkok. That's a small town. Don't know whether Saudi cities are better but for sure it is not weather friendly or that free to walk around especially day time. KL is less crowded than Bangkok and thus air quality is better. Well KL has it's shortcomings but quality of life, family entertainment, gardens and walkable areas are better than most capital cities in Asia. He should explore more.

    As a KLite, I feel KL doesn't have an identity. Look at Bukit Bintang, for example; you will see Middle Eastern stalls and restaurants along the roads. How that is allowed to happen is beyond me. Bukit Bintang is the most prominent location in KL but it has no identity at all! I hated going to that part of KL now.
