Love the respect that Alfie, John, and Simon have for the Master, Colm! Love the smiles that Colm has when each of the others sing! And Love Alfie's bow to Colm at the end!
Colm Wilkinson is the Master of the House Alfie and Simon have such powerful voices, but John's can also be so soft and soothing , yet still so powerfull
That key change was the moment Michael Ball decided that he needs to collaborate with that man! They obviously had rehearsals, it is on the DVD extras, but still, the sheer amazement on Ball's face tells it all: Alfie is a different animal :D
Alfies's amazing key change blew the roof off. Who ever came up with that idea, needs a payrise. 😂 😂 Watching the singers behind him all clapping as well as the other Colm,John.... stunning.
@@beccabell5487 I believe Simon auditioned for the part but he had already signed a contract for another play. I may be totally not understanding all the finer details on this, but having read about it on Simon Bowman's website, it seems to me to be correct. If it is wrong then I apologise. Michael Ball took on the role, and then Simon all within the first year.
@SueA15 The dvd version was the evening performance. This was taken at the matinee. Its great to get different version from different angles. Love to see John's reaction on the DVD. But LOVE that Alfie's bow to Colm was captured here!
Colm Wilkinson =Phantom and Valjean John Owen Jones =Phantom and Valjean Simon Bowman =Marius, Raoul, Chris (1st Chris in Miss Saigon), Phantom and Jean Valjean Alfie Boe =Jean Valjean I think John Owen Jones has played the role of Enjolras and Javert too, though I not certain when and under what circumstances.
I love how happy Colm looks when Alfie does the key change. Warms my heart.
colm's reaction to the other valjean's was like a proud papa....the power of the voices is unbelievable. long live jean valjean.
You are right about that!

I love how JOJ looks at Colm and just the expressions on their faces. Joyous occasion!

Colm Wilkinson seems so wholesome! It makes me so happy whenever I hear him sing
WOW. Someday l would love to hear them live in concert. What a dream come true that would be. This is above excellence.!
probably one of the most beautiful things in music
Besides having one of the greatest voices ever, Colm also has one of the best smiles!
I almost went nuts when Alfie Boe did his key change. Thanks for posting this, I ran out of batteries at this point!

What a THRILL it would have been to be in the audience this night of Les Mis 25th Anniversary! I WISH! ♥
Mexycan Karencita that's one particular thought in my mind every time i watch this. Its far fetched to think as I'm from india.
Kaushal Rabadia same here from the US and way too expensive from here as well. To at this and the 10th is any Les Mis fan’s dream
Colm Wilkinson No.1 no question

Love the way Alfie bows (no pun intended) in adoration to Colm! Huge respect
He's iconic
Wow, four incredible Valjeans onstage together singing the best version of this song I have ever heard. No big deal or anything!

It’s so lovely to see,Colm and his Marius (Simon) together again and the hug they share at the end
I thought Michael Ball was his Marius?!

Think Simon was also in the OLC but just as an ensemble player with no major role

Alfie was saving that high note.
Alfie : "hold my beer".
Best comment ever made!
This is a different performance from the DVD release. How many times did they perform this 25th Anniversary?
Twice in the afternoon and the evening and the evening one was the Live Cinema broadcast
@@williamfairchild7439 Thanks!!
@@tarjji You're welcome
Simon Bowman was Lea Salongas' partner in Miss Saigon right? I didn't know that he also became a Valjean. :D
maxphaine1116 and a Marius , Raoul and the Phantom ,amongst other roles
We got 2 dudes who are Phantoms while the other 2 dudes who are not Phantoms!
Colm Wilkinson =Phantom and Valjean
John Owen Jones =Phantom and Valjean
Simon Bowman =Marius, Raoul,
Chris (1st Chris in Miss Saigon), Phantom and Jean Valjean
Alfie Boe =Jean Valjean
I think John Owen Jones has played the role of Enjolras and Javert too, though I not certain when and under what circumstances.
Think Alfie would kill as the Phantom
