Oh my goodness!!! I have gouged out the silicone sealant in my tub each time it gets lite this & re-sealed it to get it fresh & white again.. And, each time the mold seems to come back worse than before. I thought I was going to have to pay a professional to do it this time around & since my husband has passed away was not looking forward to the expense of it. After watching your demonstration I thought oh what the heck it's worth a try! I am so amazed & like the man said in another post I keep staring at the pure white silicone sealant! I'm shocked at how easy it was. Thank you, thank you!

This is a great tip - thank you! My mould was many times worse than you seemed to have had Malcolm and I was on the verge of once again replacing the sealant around my bath - then I stumbled across this video. I gave it a go as a last resort and the result was literally miraculous! If anyone is reading this, use a gel or thick type of bleach and remember to use rubber gloves whilst doing the procedure. I also used more toilet roll to dab away excess bleach after I'd finished, then left it to work overnight. The day previous to my trying this procedure I had scrubbed away at the mould with bleach on a toothbrush and got nowhere. Then I tried this way and et voila - clean sealant! Cracking tip this Malcolm, well done :)

The mold on my silicone sealant doesn't look very pleasant to look at, so I have been looking for a way on how to get rid of it somehow. I'll be trying this method out in hopes that it would work! I will let you all know the following day if this method is still effective to this day :)
Edit: Update! It's been atleast 12 hours, I removed the tissues and it worked! I'm so surprised that this actually worked haha, it looks too good to be true but its true, works like magic, it definitely looks like a mold never even happened, thank you so much! You are a life saver!

I have been a plumber heating installer for 16 years... and WOW, I was trying to find time to redo the silicone sealant on my shower tray at home (I have been puttint this off 4 some time), but you have saved me so much of my hard sweat and graft, as I was going to strip back and re apply fresh silicone. Me and my wife tried this last night at 10pm and checked the results the following day 12pm... this does 99.9% work.
Some of the really dark black patched turned light grey, so have reapplied again 2nite.
Absolutely best video on RUclips and best results within the Home.
    Superb and just Awesome.

I just tried this today, I had some very stubborn dark stains on the silicone sealing the bottom of my custom fit stand up shower, that I had tried to remove with some specialized cleaners and lots of elbow grease, and after finding this and leaving it rest for 6 hours (had to remove it before heading to bed as the fumes were a bit too much), it worked like a charm! I was completely shocked and impressed on how well this worked! Amazing video and thanks for your help!

I’m so glad that I found your video. I was dreading ripping off our bath sealant and attempting my to reseal myself. However, I tried your method and 6 hours as later most of the mould has gone. As you suggest I’ll wait another 6 hours for the more stubborn stains. Thank you so so much…I felt like a magician revealing a great trick!

Hey you think the bleach would evaporate from toilet paper in 9 hours?

Thank you for showing. For years I was always spraying bleach right on it and basically all over the place. This is a much neater way to do it. Great idea!!

I did this yesterday thinking it might not work as the mold had been there for a long time. It worked. What a brilliant tip. Thank you. I used standard laundry bleach.

Removing the mould from the water-proofing silicon was a headache for me and nothing worked in spite of trying everything under the sun
Your methods worked very well and removed all traces of mould and it is almost a new bathroom now!

I’m so happy this actually works perfectly. I left it soaked overnight (I was sleeping in another apartment) and the next day it was white and bright. Just came back to these comments to keep the ball rolling for more people. Thanks!
