2 year old finds out her baby brother has been born

- Her grandparents picked her at dinnertime when I went into labour. We asked them not to tell her the baby was coming as we knew she would want to be there.
They helped her make a card and ironed her favourite dress in the morning which is why she is running into the laundry looking for the dress.
She is 2 and 4 months in the video.
I love how softly they speak to her! What lovely grandparents!
She is just so precious....and her grandparents were just wonderful explaining everything to her in ways she could understand! Love this!
She seemed surprised by all of this. I kept half expecting her to say something like, Why didn’t anyone tell me that there was a baby in my Mummy’s tummy?
Sick, all that about coming out of the tummy and broaching the subject of ",milk":etc. Grandma is overstepping and confusing this girl. That's her mother's place to explain. Who, what, when, where and why on a 4 year old's need to know basis.

Except most mum's still have tummies those first few days, you look almost the same! Lots of stuff has to shrink back into place!!! We still gotta love grampa, he was so sweet!

I can’t stop watching this! And, grandparents…GREAT job on explaining it to this precious girl. You gave her time to take in and process such big information, and at her own speed without rushing her along. Seems like yesterday my 2 daughters were at this age. Now they are 32 and 29. Enjoy every precious moment you can with the little ones. In a blink of an eye, they are grown and gone.

I think she will be with good thoughtful parents. I am told, as I am 22 months older than my brother, that all those years ago, 65, He was in his pram as a newborn at home and I climbed onto the wheel fender and tried to pick him up. mimmicing what i had seen our parents do. lol. I was caught just in time. Apparently I said, I have to kiss him as I love him and hes my new baby. lo.

That....is absolutely beautiful. That's what makes life worth living right there. I have 3 kids, and my first was a son, and my daughter was born two years after him....and we went through this same drill. Happy times.....
