The purpose of this video is just to show that even the least used characters can potentially fully clear abyss.
While I do make multiple jabs towards the meta, it is mostly in jest (especially since I use nationals on the other half of abyss).
Apologies for potentially making you all feel as if playing meta is completely wrong, that wasn't my intention.
Hopefully that clears some things up and just play the characters you like!

As a Xinyan main myself, her charge attacks deal more damage than her basics, and the Red horn improves charge attack damage as well. That would improve her DPS. Great show case!
I'm really hoping for something to buff claymore charged attacks. They are neat but completely useless unless you are using Itto or Redhorn Xinyan.

Nah I like noelle with yunjin she better off with normals unless your desperate for heals or against that many small enemies
@The Black Sakura Yep , that's why I specified "Healer Noelle". A niche build where Noelle only comes out to heal, is usually equipped with a Fav sword, and is there to just heal, generate particles, and get out as fast as possible. Although come to think of it in that build you wouldn't be buffing her so I suppose it wouldn't be useful for her after all lol.
He didn't even activate c6. With it Xinyan makes 25+k while spinning every hit. That showcase is thrash.
@@Velikain Dude as a Xinyan main myself I agree this isn't her full potential or optimal way to use her but no need to be a jerk about it. I do think it is a great start to give people a general idea of what she's capable of.

one of her biggest mess in my opinion is she's a physical burst dps but with pyro vision instead of electro nor cryo, which make is so difficult
Yeah, she's one of the few physical DPS characters who isn't electro or pyro. At least you can get pyro resonance easier?

- Any Physical DPS
- Rosaria (C6) for Crit Sharing, Long Duration Burst, Phys Shred
- Shenhe for Phys Shred, and atk buff (tap/hold) depends on what the dps do
- Lisa for constant superconduct, and Def Shred
Since this is a physical team, Shenhe ATK ain't that big of a deal, unless you want to further increase Rosaria's Burst Dmg..
Rosaria can go for Emblem & any ER polearm,
Lisa will obviously holding ER artifacts & TTDS..
Huge Phys & Def Shred, ATK buff from TTDS, NA/Burst dmg buff from Shenhe's skill, Superconduct..
Fun fact!!, When ever she is on the banner you can easily end up with C20 xinyan in no time.
can confirm, i single-handedly c6'ed my xinyan on xiao's first banner
can also confirm, tried to get a single yaoyao and got my first xinyan followed by five others and two yunjins before i got what i wanted. xinyan is a bit of a stage hog isnt she.
Can't confirm. I kept getting either yaoyao or 4 star weapons, screwed my pity (good thing it was a 50/50 pity and not guaranteed), and just hates me on a personal level.

cannot confirm. last time on yoimiya's banner i got from pity 0 to 76 without ANY xinyans, later got her on standard and now i have her c3 from the xiao banner (got to pity 74 this time)
Can’t say I’ve seen a 9 star xinyan clear before in this abyss. Even with her kit’s fundamental issues, you persevered. Very well done👏👏👏
She's pretty okay as a sub DPS with Hu Tao. She gives pyro resonance and battery, and just shows up to burst between main rotations.
Are there better? Yeah, but she doesn't wreck the main core of Hu/XQ, Zhongli.

As a Xinyan main that only ever strives for 9stars using her, I have to flex the fact that she is capable enough.
Although my editing skills are lacking, I'll make my own Xinyan showcase video soon, showing what a high investment Xinyan can do.
So far, almost all Abyss rotations were more than possible to do with Xinyan, and there were only a few exceptions, like when it was stuffed to the brim with Abyss Lectors.
but that's the point, you need to put A LOT of effort, to do things other char can do with zero effort.
Its only normal that people will not play those character, a game is supposed to be "fun" not a chore, not stressful because you have to put 10x the effort to have the same result.
Then of course SOME people will still do it and have fun doing it. But that's as the % suggest XD 0.1%
@@WastedTalent83 and that's the thing. if you love the character, it's probably not gonna feel like a chore to build them. there's enough characters that most players probably aren't gonna feel forced to build a character they don't even like unless they let meta pressure get to them. genshin is generally too easy to always pick one character over another based _solely_ on strength/utility, you've gotta let pure attachment and enjoyment win out at some point. if you don't like a character enough to build them as strong as you want, just build a different character. it's literally THAT easy. if it ever feels like a chore, you're doing it wrong.

But when the character you love UNDER perform way too much , that's a huge problem. i do get character cause i like them , i don't care about meta, but if a character suck so much that i can't use it in abyss because its so bad AND its a 5 star, i take that as pretty bad and a reason not to pull for it, unless i get it by mistake while trying to get a 4 star from the same banner.
There should be a limit to how bad a character get nerfed.
Ok that we don't want power creep, i don't want it either, its super bad for free players, but at least do the character as strong as the previous one or a little less. not "comparable to Xinyan" sort of thing XD

I'm pretty sure combining Mika with a C6 Rosaria (phys RES shred) will be a very interesting combination.

Give your middle finger to the one who got a 31% crit dmg on a crit rate circlet.
Getting 20 crit rate on a piece is actually much more impressive than 30 crit damage cause of how crit value works, since every point of crit rate is worth 2 crit damage
One thing that I liked about farming for Xinyan (especially with Redhorn) was instead of being completely disappointed when you get some Def you are only mostly disappointed. It's like "Okay, this at least does SOMETHING." When I'm not using an Itto/Noelle team Redhorn lives on Xinyan.

unconsciously, I contributed to the Razor usage rate when I did the first half of Abyss yesterday.

"Yeah, so fucking what? He's got electro in his kit, might as well use that part of him too." It paid off for my attempts of clearing Abyss 12 first half.
As someone who has a fellow character in the low usage rate, welcome to the actual epic players club.
His kit was supposed to superconduct to do physical damage(shred physical resist), his electro damage was negligible, even with aggravate, due to the slow elemental application and a stat that does not compliment his kit(EM vs Physical damage).
NOT saying he is bad, but there are just objectively better characters to meet abyss 12-3-1 electro requirements, who can bring more to a team:
keqing who has higher damage,
kuki, who can heal,
zara, who can buff other team members
If you already have razor built as a main DPS, then go ahead and use him, but if you are building him just because of the electro requirements...

also for the record Razor was my pal for ever since 1.0. I'm just dumbfounded on how people couldn't have seen his half/half potential, yeah call that dividing his power but even I cleared previous abysses with him being Pyro/Electro while wielding an electro grail. The game is too piss easy for there to be an actual way to play him.
I could've given him a pyro grail when he was with C6 Bennett but the fact he worked with an electro cup despite going Pyro or even electro/physical proves their viability going for uncommon comps.

You already have him built as main DPS and benefit from the requirements in abyss, which is great!
The thing is, with hybrid scaling on some characters(or their kit) is that they are the master of none. Genshin's team has 4 characters and a character with a split kit would in most cases never outperform one with a fully dedicated kit. For example Noelle vs Itto
Yes, Noelle is completely wicked after her C6, but her damage would still be less than that of Itto all else being equal. With the same supports, a more dedicated character requires much less investment(time, mora, and primogems, etc)
This is why 'meta' develops and some characters fall out of favor, since resources are limited and there is a limit on how much characters you can build especially f2p.
As for difficulty, Genshin's difficulty would remain, as a lot of players plays on a mobile phone that don't have precise controls and smooth performance as on PC, which makes everything harder. Mhy will have to cater to those players, otherwise they may receive severe backlash.

So what if he's not so efficient at split scaling, the fact he worked should be a beacon of hope for many other players who want to make their favorite characters work no matter how insane/outlandish the setup is.
To set myself back, admittedly I am a dolphin that aims to C6 one of my favorite characters, but if you got literal whales who can't even play the game well to save their lives, what's not to say those at the lower stratum can't keep up right?
However I do believe we should get more currency since we have to hang on tight via. events and it's a pain.

It would be nice to see some of the neglected characters excel as supports as well. So many care only about DPS power and thrash the supports for not doing enough damage.
The support idea sounds very interesting. It's a bit hard to showcase properly tho. For example, kuki in this video was doing significant off field damage with overload procs, but I don't think many people really noticed that.

@@ahmedlag4909 Replacing Tartaglia with Aloy in international can actually clear some floor 12s decently well! Xiangling is probably hard carrying, but it's nice to see a place where Aloy can consistently melt for decent ish dmg (10-15k+ ish infusion melts with bennett, skyward harp, and lv 6 NA talent) which isn't terrible all things considered. Though removing the meta characters and adding in 0.1% characters as her teammates would definitely impact her performance. Thundering Pulse is probably leagues better than skyward, but I don't own a thundering lol
@@DefinitelyNotAFerret It can, I did it for this rotation (Xinyan on left, Aloy on right). Xiangling does help a lot tho because Aloy on Melt doesn't really have a source of constant DPS since she is mostly for burst damage. Fully melted E and Q can deal 200k+

dendro mc-fischl-barbara-sayu this is extremely close to my exploration team lol ,with ton of healing and ofcourse it not gonna perform well in abyss (relatively) but another team with the same concept of swirling electro to active hyperbloom is dendro mc-fischl-xingqiu-sucrose where you stay on sucrose to normal atack and this team will beat abyss 12 easily

This was so satisfying to watch! I'd love to see you build Sayu, barely anyone uses her but I found her playstyle to be so much fun lol
Honestly would like to see more math done for her C6 usage since she scales a lot more off defense then physical overall. More defense = beef shield and crazy damage on her charge attack. But getting a good balance of crit rate and damage + the defense is difficult.
So her C6 just makes charged attacks the way to go hands down, the sheet calcs were for non-C6. As for the scaling, assuming you have redhorn, def becomes just as valuable as atk with respect to charged attacks damage. You sacrifice a bit of burst damage, but it's potentially worth to use a def% sands.
I use 2 blood/2 husk with redhorn and can confirm that her charged do a lot of dmg while keeping the burst dmg pretty good

Loved Xinyan since her debut, i think her design is awesome!
i tend to use her in AoE situations. Pyro% with Bennet, Kazuha, and Chongyun in a sorta quick swap style. It's pretty incorrect, but it gets me 36 star clears during the right season anyway! :D
I built my Xinyan to be a DPS about a year ago and I will never regret that decision. She easily nukes all the enemies, I love her 😭💕
One obscure thing that I discovered with Xinyan is that, although they're easy enough to break anyways, cryo shields immediately get melted (haha) by her burst from the constant application of pyro. Even though it's not as effective damage-wise against Abyss Mages due to her dealing physical damage at the start of her burst, it's still pretty good against Frostarm Lawrachurls, and maybe even against the new Frost Fall Abyss Herald.

I am contributing the the 0.4% usage rate! I have had her in basically all spiral abyss levels I've done so far (however, I have yet to 36 star it yet! highest is 32 stars as of now) and it is fun af.
Surprisingly enough, double geo/double pyro xinyan is also very effective (specially with zhongli). Also her charged attacks have very high scalling

She's been my main DPS since Dragonspine! Love playing as her and I finally got redhorn for her ^^ I gave her a def piece and she does about 15k in solo per charge hit and much more w/ teammates. I use charge charge attacks instead of normal.
This actually shows WHY meta is useful. Non-meta characters like Xinyan take a TON of effort to make strong. Take someone like Ayaka or Hutao and you'll be clearing abyss no effort required. Meta isn't "overrated", people just don't understand what it means. When I'm using my dps Lisa I gasp at hitting 50k on her skill, whereas for my ganyu that's just any other charge. Meta is the simplest and most straightforward way to clear the game, and most people just don't care or have the time to build a non-meta character for 600 primos every 2 weeks
That's completely fair. Meta is efficient, it's in the acronym after all. I just think it's overrated for players like me who have been playing for a while and have the materials to make off-meta teams work. Sorry if I came off as hateful towards meta. I understand it's place in the game, I just personally think it's boring to play in that manner.
@@TarZBlammo that's totally understandable! I find that a lot of meta players (including myself) tend to get bored of their good teams and goof around with crack teams. While back when electro was cracked I built a full DPS Lisa for abyss. What I love the most is how Iwintolose seems to be having a blast with his DPS yaoyao rn. Your xinyan is absolutely cracked!! She certainly hit harder than my eula ever has
I did a 36* run of the abyss on Xinyan’s birthday, ran her with all of Eula’s artifacts and the skyward blade, ult then spam charge attacks and the blade procs (which benefit from phys damage) were easily enough to pretty comfortably clear it ^_^ I’m glad other people are building her, I still feel like she’s a bit underrated

This man doesn't activate cons cause they make the game easy but he mines the artifact domains for god artifacts like his life depends on it. He also had a 5star weapon on Xinyan but not C6, that would go too far.
I started playing the game because of Xinyan, so this video was AWESOME! After I finish building Dehya I'm totally going to finally max my girl out after keeping her at 80 for so long

There is one kit in common for XInyan and that is 4pcs Noblesse according to her Trial kit.
Xinyan Burst CD are in Sync with those 4pcs Noblesse artifact passive at least to keep %20 attack up and spam burst again when needed to.
DEF builds ( along with Crit Rate/Dmg substats ) is her main factor only for sturdy shields and her c6 Constellation charge attacks equal to 50% of her total Def. Like for example if you have 4k DEF divided by 2 = you gain 2k attack in snapshot. This works well even you don't have attack substat Claymores, any Claymores you love to have fun experimenting. 😁
For sure, that's because Xinyan is better suited to be a sub-dps: drop burst, get out. Her on-field damage isn't bad, but there are characters that have significantly better on-field damage than her.

This proves if you built any character properly they can be very good.
I really like Noelle, and I used her a lot in my early days, but once I got sucrose fischl and xq I stopped using noelle and switched to an electro charge team.
Recently though, I decided to build Noelle, and when I build characters I usually start going hard, but then stop halfway through because I'm disappointed with the current results.
Noelle went from basically nothing to triple 9 talents, and I'm working to crown her normal attacks now. I'll be honest though, every day while spending my resin I wonder if I'm just wasting my time. I could just finish my EC team, turn it into a hyperbloom team, and 36 star abyss easy...
But this video has given me some hope. I don't want to give up on Noelle. No matter what, I will see this through to the end.

Xinyan is definitely a character with the most wasted potential, because Hoyo had no idea what she should do on the battlefield, and in conclusion she does everything and nothing at the same time. But good to see there are people who can still get something out of her and make it playable (basically destroy with her the last abyss while me with a semi-meta team can't even get pass the wolf), she's one of the best characters when it comes to lore, i hope she gets a dedicated rock event with Itto on the drums
Xinyan is just an outdated character
Hoyo wanted xinyan to be a physical dps/ support but hoyo didn't know how to code in a physical dmg buff for your characters without the use of shields which made them split scale her so she could have a reason for her shield to exist. If xinyan was made now she would be like shenhe but for physical

See this is the kind of stuff I love to see and that I would love to see done more widely. There are so many characters in Genshin Impact, all with unique skills and interesting gameplay. Why not explore that potential?
I think this is a pretty convincing presentation of what Xinyan can do, especially since you let her shine without using Xingqiu, Xiangling, and Bennett. (Who are _fine_, but it's a fact that they are used a lot.) It shows what the character can do when you build her and modestly invest in her, which is it a lot, as it turns out. :)
I'd love to see more videos like this from time to time. It reminds me a lot of your Geo MC video.
Who knows, maybe it'll get more popular? I'm still working through the game myself, and this sort of thing makes me want to see what I can do with Chongyun and Candace. :)

Xinyang was one of the first couple characters I pulled in the early days and she became my main because of it. I have had trouble building her though, thanks for this. I always get weird look when I tell people I main xinyang but now heh heh...
Her constellation allows you to deal big physical dmg, and even her C2 physical dmg burst, can crit all the time.. XINYAN I LOVE UU

As a Xinyan Main, i love this video. I c6’d my benny for her, i got itto’s weapon for her. I double crowned her (as of right now), i farmed the best artefacts I can for her 70/220. I normally run her in phys 🙏
I also recommend Yun-jin instead of Zhongli for the extra damage. (My yun-jun is almost c6 luckily) gotta dodge more without zhongli sadly :(

I don't have Redhorn but I was lucky enough to get R1 Unforged and paired with 4pc GF (one phys DMG bonus) and was hittin' 20k plus at talent lvl 9. Girl's not only a beast but she's so fun to play. Also every bit of DEF helps because in co-op Zhongli shield may not be as......obtainable?

the trick to use xinyan is to hold the left mouse that is her signature attack

I dig Xinyan a lot because she is a rock star, she is a musician and also together with Noelle they hold their claymore in very unique way in idle stance :3 (Left hand grip, right hand open supporting hilt) Which is trait by medium claymore females :D Now I probably will not give Xinyan Noelle's Stonethresher, but at least I see that bloodstained/pale flame works on her :3 Now she wields Noelle's old Whiteblind :3 Not exactly that much of a DPS weapon, but I guess she will love Serpent Spine which I leveled up to 90 for Noelle to use, but later that Stonethresher came :D
kinda funny. the exact reason why I even stumbled across this video is that I have 3 good physical goblet pieces (high CV) and Xinyan came to mind while trying to have her equip it as a placeholder for future physical damage dealers. It's also worth noting that her c1, c4, and c6 pretty much promote her as a "Charged attack" main damage dealer that wants to scale with Def% (only works if you have her c6) but also atk%. You also get bonus atk speed on crit.
*So it kinda begs the question if doing normal attacks > CA or not. I can't tell because I don't have her built*
With C6, charged is better. Pre-c6, they are about even, with normals being slightly stronger (assuming you auto cancel properly).

I was pretty disappointed when I kept getting Xinyan when rolling on Xiao's banner, so now I got her sitting at a C6. After seeing this video I think I'll give building her a go!

Xinyan is actually great at this current abyss cycle to melt down cryo shields as a phys support. Just go full def 4pc ToM and she'll carry her weight just fine, even if she's not a main dps there.
