Funny thing about the "cannibal mouse" incident: Mice eat each other if in the wild, when necessary. In conditions like lack of nutrients or food in general. The same way vultures eat other animals So the mouse eating the others wasn't caused because the cardboard produced alter-effects that changed the mice's brain like some people said back then, it's because it was, in fact, not nutritional.
I don't know why they fed the mice that knowing full well it has no nutritional value. That honestly seems worse than the cockroach thing, at least there is SOME sceince involved in that besides just observing the obvious.
You would have thought that people who regularly perform experiments would do a bit of research and realise that mice eat each other when malnourished. Then again that says a lot about Mythbusters in general.

Not the only lost dark episode of Mythbusters. There was also an episode where they were testing household chemicals and seeing which ones could be turned into explosives. They found a combo that was extremely powerful/dangerous. the FBI got involved and all footage was destroyed. I heard Adam Savage tell this but I can't find any other information about it.
i've heard about this one, yet never seen any evidence (unlike the rat incident, you can find Adam talking about it easily). i also heard said homemade explosive was absurdly easy and cheap to make, making it a big problem for microterrorism, so i can see why the FBI got involved eventually (if true).

The Father Ted alternate ending could legit pass for a lost episode creepypasta. Perhaps add that Father Ted stares at the camera for an extended amount of time after his last line and describe the last scene as having "hyper-realistc" gore.
If it's any consolation, the writer went on to write a different sitcom, The IT Crowd, where main cast member Denholm Reynolds exits the series by jumping out of a window to escape financial crimes. His son takes over his position as a CEO, and in an inconsequential gag, checks if a gun in his dad's old desk is loaded by repeatedly firing blanks into his mouth. That wasn't even part of the plot, just a joke. Goes to show his writing style. The writer then went on to commit social suicide, through an extended hateful diatribe that has lasted until the current day, which completes the rule of threes.
Little fun fact to tie in to the whole Rugrats story board jam story: Allegedly, the artists of the show had at one point drawn Didi in a gimp suit as a joke, later showing it to the voice actress who was disgusted they'd draw such a thing.
Most cartoon lost episodes: Funny, goofy, and a little bit of adult humor. The Rug Rats lost episode: Tommy poisons Angelica with dog food and drain cleaner because she's mean to him, Angelica is having a reaction to the draino, Tommy is convulsing, for some reason, then Stu comes in and starts hitting Deedee and proceeds to drink the kibble and draino concoction to power flex on Angelica, and ends it off with giving us a closeup of his balls of thunder. It's like, borderline Creepypasta material, issue is it's also just off the walls bonkers that it's comedic. It's almost like something Zach Hadel would improvise on a Rug Rats episode of Oneyplays, except it's real.
The next part has a graphic scene occur to Angelica and then gramps rushes in to bash Stu over the head. Tommy throws up, Angelica is freaking out, gramps yells at Deedee, and Stu is dead.
I remember when the Ian Watkins case was going on and they released the court records so I gave them a read. I still remember that night even now. My jaw on the floor at the absolute depravity and heinousness of his transgressions. Some of it was so absurdly appalling that if someone was to tell you what happened they probably wouldn't believe you because some of it verges on a level of sociopathy not usually seen in a celebrity.

Honestly the original ending for Father Ted isn't too strange as a lot of British SitComs are infamous for having unexpectedly dark endings where the main character or sometimes every character is brutally killed. However I do respect their choice to go with a more traditional ending and think it was the right thing to do in the wake of Morgan's tragic death

Y'know if I think back to my childhood I always remember the Father Ted finale being way darker than the rest of the series. I don't remember the episode at all but I always have really negative vibes when I think back. Might just be because the actor died shortly after which made me sad, but feels weird.
There's a film in Thailand called Golden eagle that was released in 1970 where in the final scene the actor was supposed to hang on a helicopter latter however something went wrong and the actor fell to his death the most disturbing thing about this it that was all caught in film and was actually released in theaters in its original form however in 2005 when the film got a DVD release the helicopter fall scene was replaced with a alternative view of the helicopter while screen text saying how the actor died To this day no one has footage of the original cut of the film with the infamous fall scene
Kind of reminds me of the Twilight Zone movie when there was that tragic helicopter accident during production that killed Vic Morrow and child actors Myca Dinh Lee and Renee Shin-Yi Chen. When this incident happened, Steven Spielberg was so disgusted by director John Landis’s handling of the incident that he cut ties with him and called for the end of the “New Hollywood” era when directors had near full control of the film industry at that time.
There is a scene in the original movie Carrie where a fire hose is being used during the prom scene and the girl who laughed at her got blasted with it and land on a table the high pressured hose water got into her ear and she went deaf in that ear and the scene is kept in the movie. It's altered in the remake. .
I was at the Reading festival for that Dillinger performance, they were first band onstage on the Sunday morning so perfect timing for this 😂 Greg definitely took a very sloppy dump onstage but it was into a white towel which he then bundled up and threw into the crowd. I was on the side of the crowd and thankfully far enough away from the towelbomb but I distinctly remember watching the feed on the video screens as a crusty looking white guy with dreads caught the towel and ran about like he'd won the Superbowl, clutching his prize above his head as the entire crowd around him moved back to give him a good 50ft space while he looked bemused as to why nobody wanted to be near him 😂😂 That was over 20yrs ago and it's stuck with me ever since, nobody believes me when I tell them about it! 😂😂 I honestly can't remember Greg rubbing shit all over himself but that's not too say it didn't happen, hope that crusty guy still has his prized possession 😂😂
This is also going to sound like either total coincidence or total bullshit but I promise you it's true: I knew the lost prophets (Ian was always a creepy, nasty little shit) and I went to the sensations exhibition in London when I was in art college and I saw the Myra piece firsthand. I remember an unexpectedly funny commercial from 14 years ago with Batman being high on weed to promote an anti drug movement on Cartoon Network. It actually is a rare piece of lost media, I’ve checked the forums and Reddit, and I’ve posted about it a few times and I’ve received very little information. All I do know is other people have seen the commercial from 15 years ago, but finding footage or still shots of it is like it didn’t exist at all. Um... the Rugrats storyboard jam wasn't "leaked" recently or even by Russel himself. It existed and a portion had been passed around for at least 20 years by now. It appeared getting posted in a one-off animation enthusiast magazine from a long time ago called Wild Cartoon Kingdom. So it's been known, and the surviving bits have had copies being passed around since the late 90's.
i heard about the rugrats storyboard not too long ago and oh my god dude lol. its like when people get mad and write angry letters and then not send them but in this case they went full DARK MODE with what they did and im ok with it lmao. one episode of rugrats they did air that was dark too was the episode where chuckie wishes he was never born. that episode was so dystopian for a kids cartoon. i remember watching it as a kid and the whole time i felt just so sad about it. not crying sad but like depressed. i wasn't even thinking about chuckie and his impact persay but i was like "how did society get this bad just from him not being born?" lol. im not even thinking about chuckies feelings, im just watching a malnurished tommy at a fat fug angelicas feet begging for cookie crumbs. edit: the storyboard also reminds me of gartic phone, the drawing game. each person starts off with a sentence, for example: "frog playing baseball" the next person then has to draw that and then that image gets sent to the next person to guess what it is, then what they typed goes to the next person to draw and so on and so forth. basically what im saying is i love this ok lol as dark as it is i love it.

Made me really uncomfortable at just how into the cannibalistic mice Adam Savage was. I've heard it recounted a little more sympathetically in the past, describing it more as improvisational, awkward gallows humour. It was still completely wrong to start the experiment in the first place, though, so don't take this as any kind of defence.
I think it's because it's very common for nice to eat each other in this situation for extra nutrition , but mice will for no reason (I had 2 pet mice and one ate the other even though they had the correct nutrition)

Not major lost media but when rewatching mythbusters I got to the first pirate episode on discovery+ and noticed they cut all the borrowed footage of pirates of the Caribbean which is so weird now cuz a few myths are pulled directly from the movie. If it's any consolation, the writer went on to write a different sitcom, The IT Crowd, where main cast member Denholm Reynolds exits the series by jumping out of a window to escape financial crimes. His son takes over his position as a CEO, and in an inconsequential gag, checks if a gun in his dad's old desk is loaded by repeatedly firing blanks into his mouth. That wasn't even part of the plot, just a joke. Goes to show his writing style.
The writer then went on to commit social suicide, through an extended hateful diatribe that has lasted until the current day, which completes the rule of threes.
Although thankfully The IT Crowd ultimately had a happy ending by having them trick Denholm into giving them the company

The Rug Rats lost episode: Tommy poisons Angelica with dog food and drain cleaner because she's mean to him, Angelica is having a reaction to the draino, Tommy is convulsing, for some reason, then Stu comes in and starts hitting Deedee and proceeds to drink the kibble and draino concoction to power flex on Angelica, and ends it off with giving us a closeup of his balls of thunder.
It's like, borderline Creepypasta material, issue is it's also just off the walls bonkers that it's comedic. It's almost like something Zach Hadel would improvise on a Rug Rats episode of Oneyplays, except it's real.
The next part has a graphic scene occur to Angelica and then gramps rushes in to bash Stu over the head. Tommy throws up, Angelica is freaking out, gramps yells at Deedee, and Stu is dead.
Imagine working at Nick and somehow coming across "Balls Of Thunder".

I remember when the Ian Watkins case was going on and they released the court records so I gave them a read.
I still remember that night even now. My jaw on the floor at the absolute depravity and heinousness of his transgressions. Some of it was so absurdly appalling that if someone was to tell you what happened they probably wouldn't believe you because some of it verges on a level of sociopathy not usually seen in a celebrity.
I legit felt sick to my stomach when I first read the graphic details of what Ian Watkins did. I just hope that his victims got the care and psychological help they needed.

I didn’t know what Ian Watkins did and I feel sick to my stomach reading about it… Rooftops is a song that means a lot to me (mainly because of memories with a friend who passed) but to know it was sung by someone so evil makes me wish it never existed. Honestly the original ending for Father Ted isn't too strange as a lot of British SitComs are infamous for having unexpectedly dark endings where the main character or sometimes every character is brutally killed. However I do respect their choice to go with a more traditional ending and think it was the right thing to do in the wake of Morgan's tragic death

Either 4chan or 2chan had it which probably means it's gone for good, but I do remember some nasty nasty stuff going down. Y'know if I think back to my childhood I always remember the Father Ted finale being way darker than the rest of the series. I don't remember the episode at all but I always have really negative vibes when I think back. Might just be because the actor died shortly after which made me sad, but feels weird.
There's a film in Thailand called Golden eagle that was released in 1970 where in the final scene the actor was supposed to hang on a helicopter latter however something went wrong and the actor fell to his death the most disturbing thing about this it that was all caught in film and was actually released in theaters in its original form however in 2005 when the film got a DVD release the helicopter fall scene was replaced with a alternative view of the helicopter while screen text saying how the actor died
To this day no one has footage of the original cut of the film with the infamous fall scene
Kind of reminds me of the Twilight Zone movie when there was that tragic helicopter accident during production that killed Vic Morrow and child actors Myca Dinh Lee and Renee Shin-Yi Chen. When this incident happened, Steven Spielberg was so disgusted by director John Landis’s handling of the incident that he cut ties with him and called for the end of the “New Hollywood” era when directors had near full control of the film industry at that time.
There is a scene in the original movie Carrie where a fire hose is being used during the prom scene and the girl who laughed at her got blasted with it and land on a table the high pressured hose water got into her ear and she went deaf in that ear and the scene is kept in the movie. It's altered in the remake.

I was at the Reading festival for that Dillinger performance, they were first band onstage on the Sunday morning so perfect timing for this 😂 Greg definitely took a very sloppy dump onstage but it was into a white towel which he then bundled up and threw into the crowd. I was on the side of the crowd and thankfully far enough away from the towelbomb but I distinctly remember watching the feed on the video screens as a crusty looking white guy with dreads caught the towel and ran about like he'd won the Superbowl, clutching his prize above his head as the entire crowd around him moved back to give him a good 50ft space while he looked bemused as to why nobody wanted to be near him 😂😂 That was over 20yrs ago and it's stuck with me ever since, nobody believes me when I tell them about it! 😂😂 I honestly can't remember Greg rubbing shit all over himself but that's not too say it didn't happen, hope that crusty guy still has his prized possession 😂😂
This is also going to sound like either total coincidence or total bullshit but I promise you it's true: I knew the lost prophets (Ian was always a creepy, nasty little shit) and I went to the sensations exhibition in London when I was in art college and I saw the Myra piece firsthand. I remember an unexpectedly funny commercial from 14 years ago with Batman being high on weed to promote an anti drug movement on Cartoon Network. It actually is a rare piece of lost media, I’ve checked the forums and Reddit, and I’ve posted about it a few times and I’ve received very little information. All I do know is other people have seen the commercial from 15 years ago, but finding footage or still shots of it is like it didn’t exist at all. The number one thing is that it did exist and aired only twice in one day like the lost Sesame Street episode with the wicked witch.

Father Ted is the best! Fun fact: Fr.Kevin is played by a young Tommy Tiernan! He's an Irish comedian too! I met him in my workplace (a mass office!) and he was very nice ^_^ Unfortunately though, he had real- life struggles with depression, which he has talked about openly, but he's doing well now as far as we know!
P.S. Ian Watkins can rot in hell. When you abuse children and animals and that becomes known to the public.... well, you're gonna be looking over your shoulder for the rest of your life, and I truly hope you never rest easy ever again. Um... the Rugrats storyboard jam wasn't "leaked" recently or even by Russel himself. It existed and a portion had been passed around for at least 20 years by now. It appeared getting posted in a one-off animation enthusiast magazine from a long time ago called Wild Cartoon Kingdom. So it's been known, and the surviving bits have had copies being passed around since the late 90's.

i heard about the rugrats storyboard not too long ago and oh my god dude lol. its like when people get mad and write angry letters and then not send them but in this case they went full DARK MODE with what they did and im ok with it lmao. one episode of rugrats they did air that was dark too was the episode where chuckie wishes he was never born. that episode was so dystopian for a kids cartoon. i remember watching it as a kid and the whole time i felt just so sad about it. not crying sad but like depressed. i wasn't even thinking about chuckie and his impact persay but i was like "how did society get this bad just from him not being born?" lol. im not even thinking about chuckies feelings, im just watching a malnurished tommy at a fat fug angelicas feet begging for cookie crumbs.

But yours is one that I can say that I genuinely look forward to because of the effort you put into the content (despite having to wait almost a month in between each video). Made me really uncomfortable at just how into the cannibalistic mice Adam Savage was. I've heard it recounted a little more sympathetically in the past, describing it more as improvisational, awkward gallows humour. It was still completely wrong to start the experiment in the first place, though, so don't take this as any kind of defence.
I think it's because it's very common for nice to eat each other in this situation for extra nutrition , but mice will for no reason (I had 2 pet mice and one ate the other even though they had the correct nutrition)

Not major lost media but when rewatching mythbusters I got to the first pirate episode on discovery+ and noticed they cut all the borrowed footage of pirates of the Caribbean which is so weird now cuz a few myths are pulled directly from the movie.
