    the fact that we are all here watching a wnba pre season game on youtube is amazing. Hated the constant narrative about sexism, pay etc. just shows all it needed was a likeable star that genuinely has skills.

    1) the few times i've viewed WNBA highlights (like Sportscenter top 10) the rafters ALWAYS had empty seats... this is a preseason game 2) i heard the WNBA players saying she not going to do what she did in college to them... they were wrong 3) i'm actually watching my 1st ever WNBA highlights independent of it being curated to me by mainstream media... that's saying a lot

      It’s pretty amazing! I’m really happy of what it could do for women’s basketball as a sport. Not even trying to joke or exaggerate, but she could have an MJ-like impact on the woman’s sport the way MJ exploded the marketing of the NBA and made it global.

Getting away with a little push - Yes, it's basketball. MJ got away with a little push in Utah to clinch the Bulls' series against the Jazz.

WNBA women will never match NBA for excitement with a game played below the rim and ballers not having the leaping ability and body control of NBA players.       She'd be another Galloway.
      A 10th/12th man who is there for catch and shoot 3s and plays very little minutes.
      Her defence woukd he too bad to play long periods, you'd basically play her small 3 minutes bursts at a time, hope she gets hot and then take her out before the opposing team can cook her too much.
      She's an insane shooter and like Galloway has a rather fast release (not Galloway fast as I don't even think curry has as fast a release as Galloway from memory he's got the fastest release in the league), But like she'd fill a similar role

      I started playing WNBA in 2K, it's pretty decent lol- I just wish they lowered the rim to 9 ft so most of them would be able to dunk (at least the Centers/PF's)

      But they are rookies. Women's basketball in high school and college is progressing like men's did years ago. The skills base is getting higher the competitive arena is too. Many of these current wnba stars have not faced a new fit crop that can outplay them from the beginning.

    The wife and I took our Daughter and her friend to this Dallas game because of her. Every time she hit one the area erupted like a rock star just walked on stage. There was more cheering for her than the home team Dallas. It was crazy.

    Damn. That release is incredible. It makes it incredibly hard for a defender to converge and block the shot even though her release point is probably similar to Curry’s. But I think she’s a really good dribbler too so she can create separation and then at that point it’s all over but the crying.

    I know it isn’t possible, but I wish the NBA and NFL had rookies playing 2 weeks after they are drafted. That’s amazing. I guess the jump from D1 basketball to the WNBA isn’t as massive as the NBA, but it’s still cool to see.
