I love how Shuri's suit looks like a blend between T'Challa's suit and Killmonger's suit, it shows his influence
even in death killmonger had the best drip in wakanda
😂😂 still hot af
Can’t lie I think the Queen had the best drip
Stop the cap
lol my wife leaned next to during that scene and said "I want that sweater"
Facts
I loved how Killmongers white sweater had the dotted fabric just like his scars
I noticed that too 😊
Damn great pick up. Didn’t notice that
Woahhh
The DETAILS!!
Good catch!
Something interesting to note: Shuri was stabbed and almost died in the same manner as Killmonger during the last battle with Namor
Exactly
And also shot just like how Thanos stabbed stark... With their own weapons no less
Duh we all noticed.
He was stabbed n the heart
Uh, no
That cameo was one of the most unexpected scenes in the movie, respect for keeping it under wraps
L
I'm pretty sure this was in leaks alongside Dr. Doom
Idk how people didn’t see this coming tbh
@@quincyg417 I had a hunch but I still didn’t
Indeed!
this scene hit me tbh. it made me kinda understand a mostly unseen sign of grief. it’s anger turned into vengeance and how it can blind your perception and judgement.
Jkjk😂
Yup
The fact that they were able to keep that under wraps this whole time in this age of instant knowledge is insane!
This had to be what they were working on right before it came out
And the element of surprise was paid off during release.
Nah it was in the leaked plot points before the movie came out like 4 months ago
@@spoiledsalad1851 ironic considering that you loved seeing leaks, I AVOIDED such leaks to be honest so sometimes leaks change tbh.
Not predictable in my case as seeing it unfold in theaters is beautiful.
@@AirbenderHawk, jt wnp
My jaw physically dropped when I saw killmonger on the throne. Definitely the most unexpected scene for me
I moved up in my seat
Ikr I started getting flashbacks on how he become king on the first one gave me chills 😯
I was really not expecting that
Me too.
Anyone else noticed how he respected thcalla in this scene
They definitely hid him better in the trailers than they hid Andrew and Tobey in NWH's trailers.
Andrew and tobey were leaked before the trailer even came out tho
They didn’t want to hide Those 2
Killmonger was in one scene. Tobey and Andrew were in the whole last act of the movie. See the difference?
The “Marketing” is the Parameter.
But Andrew wasn't the Werewolf
I would LOVE the idea of Killmonger and Queen Ramonda being permanently in Shuri's conscience. Or at the very least, Killmonger always being Shuri's spirit guide.
"Come on Shuri, crack his neck!"
At this point i just realized Killmonger is just gonna be like Khonshu from the earlier episodes
🙌🏾

Facts
Namor said the same line earlier in the movie "how is never as important as why"
That’s something that I noticed too. I loved that parallel.
Ryan Coogler is the master at making Villains we love. Killmonger and Namor are top tier. This scene is the darkest and best from the movie. Just like Thanos, Killmonger is right.
Monger not a villian

You missed that Shuri DID answer Killmonger’s question. Shows that flashback when Shuri gets impaled.
Can we appreciate the phenomenal dialogue in this movie ?!
😂 good one 👍
Killmonger’s line about Queen Ramonda going out like a G was one of the best lines in the film.
Indeed, the whole script was pretty strong
👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Just the dialogue about how Namor got his name .. we got a total glimpse into him, his view of the surface world and hundreds of years of history.
During this scene I immediately thought back to Ramonda's retort, "What construct do you feel when you think of your brother? Does it offer you comfort or torment?"
Such a really strong statement. It shows the deep divide between spiritual belief vs the Rational mind.
@@danielramsey6141 truly was a good scene il admit 💙 the question was good too
Its a psychoactive drug. It amplifies your current state of mind. And in Shuri's case it was about revenge, disbelief and rage.
Drug that transports you to an alternate dimension somehow I see?
Great summary. I wish he could’ve said it in that many words. 😂

The theme of dealing with grief is the reason why this movie and Wandavision made the biggest emotional impact on me, even if they were not perfect pieces of media. They both made me cry lol
Pretty much of Phase 4 was about pathos. Grief being the main reason. Which is why it didn't hit well with some. They only want explosions and cameos.
Shuri’s computer AI, voiced by Noah Trevor, is named Griot. In Africa, a griot is a musician/singer/storyteller who is a living archive of the cultural knowledge, genealogies, oral histories, and traditions of their people. They would often act as an advisor to African royalty.
He voiced it in the first film.... "The lab is under attack"

And in Haiti his name is a food😂

Elicited collective gasps from the audience when he showed up! Glad MBJ came back to do another scene, one of the best surprises in Wakanda Forever
Facts
Wasn’t a surprise. Was announced months ago ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@golferperk54 literally I watched no previews for this movie and I think it helped my experience. I think I’m going to do this again.
Yep everybody "oh shit".
@@golferperk54 I hope it didn’t detract from the scene for you. For me, I knew the plot leak and was still hype to see him back.
The license plate of the van carrying Ross at the end said CB112976, which is for Chadwick Boseman, and his birthday.
Sh*t, I didn't catch that!
What an amazing journey and character arc Shuri went on. I think it's one of the MCU's best and to me it came completely unexpectedly.
Wakanda Forever easily became one of the top sequels for me
Honestly I expected this cameo, bur it was still a surprise, this moment just made the movie even better
Kilmonger showing up is DEEP. Even BIBLICAL. I think both Kilmonger and his dad are manifestations of the rage in Kilmonger and Shuri’s heart that they can’t let go. Others on the astral plane are allowed to be free. Open to explore and learn, while they are confined. Even though Kilmonger and his dad are “villains” they are still allowed to go to the astral plane. Like in the Bible it says, “in my father’s house, there are many rooms.” Good, bad, heroes, villains…it’s all subjective. We are all His children and worthy of a place. DEEP.
BEAUTIFUL analogy
Naw. King David. He was the real Messiah.
No. Just no
As long as they've accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior right? If not, please make it make sense biblically.
There is an Astral plane but it is where angels and demons are. You can get there while you're alive but you leave your body open to a negative spirit.
YHWH doesn't approve of an individual doing this so that statement being of many houses isn't good and bad in heaven, it's just good.
Love that the ancestral plane in the MCU keeps sacred time and space nuanced.
I loved the Killmonger cameo. All these theories about him coming back from the dead and assuming the title of BP were so contradictory to his character and motivations in the first film. He was in it for revenge. He wasn’t going to be resurrected and suddenly have altruistic leanings. It would’ve cheapened everything he did in the first film which would’ve been super lame.
You're dead on. He'd never turn his back on his previous convictions
That cameo alone is what bumped this movie from a 9.2 to a 10/10 for me!! It was well done!
I’m surprise you think it was 10/10 because I felt like the movie was a solid 5/10
@@zacharyholmes3375 That’s the great thing about having opinions, we’re each entitled to our own lol
@@zacharyholmes3375 yeah ok
I kinda expected Killmonger to be mentioned but a full cameo was a literal gut punch.
This movie is amazing and it's a shame that so many mentally/spiritually limited people couldn't manage to fully appreciate it.
Agreed, I’m glad they took a more serious route with this film.
Spirituality is another religion
@@nasraken1971 Spirituality isn't a religion, it's a state of one's self to connect to existence by another way other than the flesh and thoughts.
Religion is a made up construct to influence the masses and control their lives. Kinda like if a dictatorship and Stockholm's Syndrome had a baby. 🤔
they're either mad because it's not a cameo city or the more stupid reason that is, "not enough white people"
Why do you have to shame people for not having the same opinion as you? Talk about mentally/spiritually limited
I like that the ancestral plane allows these characters some screen time. So cool
Queen Ramonda will be back
I remember watching this scene play out and being amazed at how they were so good at hiding it, I’m glad they brought Michael B. Jordan into the film
I loved that Killmonger Cameo!! 😯👌🏼
The fact that Michael pushed his movie where he is the main star back so that this movie could get its shine is something not done much in todays money hungry world.
Thats two paychecks for him and makes more people want to see creed 3
Michael B Jordan is top tier
@@trueconde5623 cameo in a blockbuster before your own blockbuster is a great marketing strategy
This movie was great by itself, outside of the MCU. Timeless.
True. The only other sequel I can think of that is like that is Winter Soldier.
Killmonger was right at some point when he said don’t take that from your mother
Seeing Killmonger back was a great surprise 🙌
Mike B acting in this scene was some of his best
I liked that “Lost Tribe” statement.
The Ancestral Plane could be a simple LSD-type trip and the "herb" the drug which induces it. The power of suggestion being the catalyst that initiates the Trip.
I agree, iv had trips like going into another realm, very possible, very fascinating
It's real. Taweret herself said so
Even in death, Killmonger is still bitter and vengeful. It's sad to see that even in the ancestral plane, his character can't find solace and reason behind his father's death at the hands of the king. After all, it was for the overall good of the nation right? Killmonger believing that his father was right, even in death as was proven by his appearance to Shuri in the afterlife, is the yin to the T'Chaka bloodline's yang.
It’s also possible that he just acted the way he did to push Shuri away from being more like how he was
Nah I like that he staying ten toes down even in death
Good of the nation? A king leaving hidnephew alone with no family is for the good of nation, no, killmonger knew that’s bull
Or he's just a construct of Shuri's mind created to ....
All y’all got some dope ass responses and points
I love this analysis. I’ve seen so many people say the scene was pointless and made no sense when in the context of the story and how Shuri was feeling taking the herb it made perfect sense
...people said it was pointless!?!?! This movie/script was so deep. That was a very important scene for Shari's character development
Those people are obtuse lol
Loved this scene and I need to rewatch it cuz it was was that good it’s literally the perfect sequel
I love that you call him Namor as he introduces himself and not “Naymor” as it’s usually pronounced
I don’t even know how it got to be pronounced the second way. He got the name from “no amor” - no love (I know I’m missing a word or two in translation there but you get the point). Just Americans being their egotistical selves and thinking everything revolves around them and their language 🙄
@@kennip24 "El niño sin amor"
Yes, but the English way to pronounce it is "Naymor". Even Shuri in the movie calls his name as "Naymor" only.
It’s also how the writers pronounced it. That’s where it comes from. People didn’t magically come up with that pronunciation. Besides, all media pronounces it that way. In this movie, they pronounce it differently because his origin is changed.
it was cool because earlier in the movie, Namor also said “how isn’t as important as why” just like killmonger when Shuri met him in the ancestral plain 😱
I think because the same revenge and bitterness that was in namors heart was also in killmongers and shuris (up to a certain point)
I was surprised as hell. A true surprise and treat! I missed that element of the MCU. Sooo good
Well I believe it's a construct because one thing that I questioned in both films was why the ancestors appeared as panthers in T'Challa's visit in the ancestral plane then turned human. Yet in Killmonger's vision his dad wasn't a panther at first and he wasn't in a field. I honestly think it's a construct made by our subconscious, someplace that's of great importance to whomever took the heart shaped herb. Also the person you chose is probably linked with what challenges you in some way.
Probably bc killmonger isn't really deep in wakandan tradition
killmonger's dad backstabbed wakanda, and killmonger tried to change wakanda by opening itself to the world and burning herbs so he could be the last king. so they dont fall into the ancestral plane. Instead they go somewhere else, trapped from the outside plane. So they dont become panthers, and they weren't clicked in with wakandan tradition cs killmonger had his thing going on and his dad was adapting to american tradition, nd he had a african american girlfriend
It’s probably because killmonger and also shuri are disconnected from their ancestors
I've watched this movie 5 times now it is awesome lowkey masterpiece
When you were reciting the lines from the ancestral throne room you did Killmonger proud. Now off to inkbox
That scene was SOO sick!!
dang I feel like going to see the movie again
Im pretty sure Shuri said “I am not my brother” instead of just waking up when i watched it in the theatre
It would be cool if, going forward, we had killmonger act as a guide/mentor for shuri but throughout the films we see both characters learn from each other and each develop into being more wiser and less irrational and eventually becoming good partners.
It could be only for the big moments that he shows up or it could act like a jarvis/Tony situation where killmonger is more involved in the action.
I don't know how well it would work but was just a thought I had whilst watching this video
@Jamal Murphy 🍂 OH FR? GIVE ME THE NAME OF THE COMIC RN AND ILL READ IT LIKE DEADASS
@Jamal Murphy 🍂 Could I also get the name of the comic?
Your idea is so cool and I wished this would happen
It's clear that Marvel is not using the afterlife scenes as the characters' inner world. It's a separate realm/reality with its own rules.
@@Whooooooaaamaaan I kinda assumed that’s what they were doing. Besides the recent dr strange, where they say MCU is same numbered as marvels comics. Which I thought was really weird.
Not sure how that is clear, since I clearly see the afterlife scenes as individual experiences based on mythology they have been told. Basically hallucinations built on experience.
@@non-exist-ent How was Love returned to life it that's true?

What was it
I love your take on this. It puts it in a unique perspective, I hadn't thought of.
I keep tellin people Wakanda Forever is a spiritual, drama & action film so its in a different level of perspective of Marvel
Perhaps the paradox is true? It is both "real" and a construct of consciousness? On another note, I'm so happy that the fourth phase ended with such a well made, and profound film. Looking forward to phase 5!
I feel like the base desire of your heart or your spiritual condition will present an avatar to you to represent that and the ancestral plane.
Absolutely! WOW! That scene still blows me away!
Me and my brother pieced it together during the movie. It really was an awesome twist. Also Shuri did answer the question. It shows later on
killmonger instantly became a MCU fan favorite years ago as soon as michael b jordan was casted! i’ve never seen an actor/actress in the MCU who acts with as much passion as he does.
Killmonger again killing his role, seeing him in the movie was such a moment, and a plot.
The way I had to hold back a scream during this scene
🤣
I was totally shocked when MBJ was revealed.
Same!!!
This was one of my favorite scenes as well.
This scene hit deep. So good
"or take care business like me" was a coooold f*ckin line
I’m so happy he came, very good cameo, I’d like to see more of him.
Morbius was the best, Killmonger was there too.
The cameo was one of the cameos of all time
Before the movie started I thought ‘this will be Coogler’s first movie without MBJ’ 😆
Just watched the movie and it was amazing
SPOT ON!!! Bravo!!! I got chills when he said You chose me...Because I knew EXACTLY why he was there
Damn hearing those lines again gave me chills.
Very well made scene, I think KM describes it perfectly when he says they're both become vengeful exiles. Do NOT get me started on the significance of being able to now artificially create magic tho
This was such a good movie
Eric’s analysis was on point. Him and his team gave the movie a proper interpretation!!😊
I thoroughly appreciate your assumptions and the conclusions that you jumped to. I fully agree with you on your “maybe” assumptions which you outlined.
I would honestly like to see Killmonger get a redemption somehow, come back, and take up the mantle. Throw in a lazarus pit plot or something.
He's definitely making some kind of comeback. I'm waiting for M'Baku to rise up though.
I was literally thinking m’baku should have taken the throne. In a perfect world he would have been a great king. They instead made a joke out of him.
Easy enough to do with the multiverse angle.
Banging analysis. Clearly the ancestral plane is to be considered bigger than the construct of the individual mind. Otherwise, the construct would be free of constant form (ie, purple sky)
Once again nicely done, sub.
Going to Florence, Italy is always been a fave of mines. Inspiration came from Jersey Shore, to see them travel there and touch everything around, from art, culture, food and people. It’s the dream location, I know it will be everything I expected it to be.
I was expecting very little about killmonger cameo but it is the best part of movie
I remember the movie. In that shot, Shuri was done speaking to Killmonger. That's why he wasn't in that shot.
It's very simple. When you go to the "ancestral plane" you see who you need to see for the task ahead, but that may not necessarily be who you want to see.
I wanted this so much and I was so happy when I saw him
Khemet (Ancient Egypt) and Wakanda are both African civilizations that share many of the same beliefs and cosmology. Makes sense that the Ancestral Plane and Field of Reeds would be very similar.Bast is an Egyptian goddess as well.
One of my favorite parts of the movie
Excellent take!!! Thanks!
I love your guys videos
Easily one of the best scenes in the MCU. Maybe in cinema.
Nah, not cinema
I was very impressed when I saw it in theatres. Definitely one of the scenes of all time.
Have you seen three movies ever?
I wasn't surprised to see Killmonger, there were theories that we would see him in the ancestral plane
You are on point!!!!
I loved Killmonger's white crocheted/knitted/whatever robe.. looked so badarse.
I believe that each character has freewill. Kang and the likes of him are playing with what they got. Ex: Ironman chose to protect everyone from Thanos. That's a freewill. Kang didn't make it happen. He just happened to see/know that Ironman will do that. He prevented someone else from interfering. Eternity, the Watcher, etc. only interferes if certain characters have super strong belief to do something they wanted but couldn't get. Such character are the likes of Gorr. Anyway, number one established rule of MCU is that no one can change the past of the original timeline they came from.
I'm somewhat concerned with pruned timelines though. I also want to know how on earth the TVA can prune a timeline.
Powerful scene
I like how you slid the word "Creed" in there. Real smooth 😅
