Dave Ramsey's insights have been a game-changer for me! His practical approach to financial management has empowered me to take control of my money and work towards a debt-free life. The Total Money Makeover is my go-to guide, and I appreciate how he breaks down complex concepts into easy-to-follow steps.
Mark Cuban saved me from college debt! I finished my engineering degree with 0 loans because of Mark's advice I love him.
i need that advice
What did you do to not pay for your loans?
Please share for others.
Michael Crawford what did he tell you? How to quit while you're ahead? Lol
Michael Crawford same ! Graduate with finance degree with zero student loan
I’m happy he said his #1 for his kids are their health. Without it nothing is worth it
I can't believe Mark Cuban is older than Dave Ramsey.
Yeah Cuban doesn't look 60 (almost 61)
I would've thought he was like 45 no joke, wow!
Mind boggling
no way!!1
@@knpstrr old enough to be my father and im 42 and he has a 9 yeard old daughter ?(video taken in 2014)
I like the way Mark Cuban is checking his email/ texts until the last possible minute.
*****
When it involves money and business that is his primary concern. Plain and simple.
+Mark Jackson C'mon he was totally playing a tower defense game.
No it is not that man is a working all the time , he has to live like that
*Last posible second
and that's you don't have Mark Cuban money
I’ve met him a few times now and can say he is one of the nicest most genuine people you’ll ever meet. Treats everyone the same way even if you’re just a fan bugging him and trying to say hi
Agreeing with Mark, one of the biggest struggles in college is learning how to learn. Most kids that dont learn this skill drop out. Once you learn how to digest the information you are receive in your class, success is then simply down to how bad you want it.
Dave is awesome. Mark is awesome. Never thought they would be on the same segment.
What a combo, Dave and Mark Cuban!
Financial Fitness: Personal Finance & Investment Videos
Love it!
Mark makes a great point about learning how to learn. Before college I didn't necessarily know how to learn and now I do. That in itself, is more valuable than any degree.
How did you learn how to learn?

agree start your kids early ,I told my son being smart is cool !!He listened so far so good.
Great video. I love listening to Mr. RAMSEY and Mr. Cuban. I've learned alot.
Idk why it makes me happy that these two are talking
It is interesting that Mark said you learn how to learn in college. I totally agree and have said that exact same quote a few times over the years. I learned how to learn in college. I don't know everything, but I can figure out pretty much anything.
Business is a sport, love it! Sports are great but teaching kids to work is even more powerful!!
GREAT INTERVIEW!!! I just adore Mark Cuban and just started FPU and I'm extremely excited for this journey!!!
What's fpu?
Angel Perez Financial Peace University.
I was on the Dave Ramsey plan before I knew who he was. Graduated from college with no debt, paid off mortgage 5 years early, cash flowed my youngest son’s college education and invested wisely.
Have been looking for the part 2 of this video. Can't find it anywhere. Can someone please share when they do? 🙏🏽
I wonder is Dave would have him back on the show in 2020.
Probably. They might have some differences of opinion on things but it would be an interesting conversation so long as they keep it respectful and maintain an open mind.
right now I'm watching mark Cuban with Dave Ramsey. I'm laughing because although my 4 kids are all young adults now. I told them very similar work ethics that Marc and Dave have told their kids. my kids grew up hearing me remind them constantly. grades are the "money" teachers pay you until you get a job. the better grades you make, the more $ you'll make. they all new the rule. you had to graduate high school & then get trained in something. if it takes a 2 year college, a 4 year college, or simply a training school. that's up to them. but they have to go beyond the high school deploma in their knowledge and schooling. I have to say the most frustrating thing to me. was when my daughter was in 5th grade and my oldest son was in 3rd grade. I had to keep my eye on the school & make sure they were helping my daughter as much as possible. I also had to put pressure on them to challenge my son. he was bringing 100% home on pretests. when I told them to excellerate him but I absolutely did not want to put him in the next grade. I was told they couldn't. when he finally brought home an "F" on a pretest. he was in tears & I wanted to put it on the fridge. I was so excited he thought I had lost my mind. I looked at him & asked if he knew what it meant. I said it means you don't know the material &are actually going to learn something. when I went into the school I told them that if they didn't challange him. he was going to get into high school, be bored out of his mind & start entertaining himself.
It seems like your education didn't provide you with a proficient understanding of spelling and grammar.
What's sadder: the notion that money is a good measure of human value, or the notion that Grades are a good measure of human value?
hahaha my dad did them same thing I became 13 and one morning
"Get up your coming with me"
he began to take me to to construction and now that's what I plan to do I will begin to work at the same company then become a contractor eventually I want to have my own business the area I do is Roofing
so update?
So true in Business someone is always after you.
You know Dave Ramsey is still on a budget he's still using a 2012 macbook pro! lol
David OfAum if it ain't broken why fix it
This video is from 2014
David OfAum lol
All rich people are frugal and careful like that. Read about Warren Buffett
Of course he is. It is a much better machine that the macbooks and macair machines that they make these days.
Got enough scholarships to get my college for free. And even get 3k on the top of that to pay for my books and living expenses!
I was listening while doing inventory and my jaw dropped when you said mark cuban!
Wait. Mark Cuban is older than Dave Ramsey! Can you believe it?
I want to see part 2 can’t find it
Same here.
Yeah me either
I found part two its on dave ramseys onlyfans
We have retired ..are 67....my husband has some term life ins that keeps increasing..should we discontinue and take out long term life insurance instead?
Student loan debt 100% agree.
I agree, we should be encouraging life long learning.
Most first time college students do not even know how to balance a checkbook, do not understand the different a subsidized and unsubsidized loan, or even have never taken out a loan before- they do not fully understand what kind of hole they are digging themselves into.
To take out 100,000 in students loans to graduate with a degree worth $35,000 is absolute insanity.
The bubble will burst.
It’s not a question of IF but WHEN.
He just proved that working hard is not enough to make money. He used his dads example.
Of course, not. Working hard to get ahead is the biggest myth ever perpetuated. If hard work made you rich, day laborers would be the wealthiest folks on earth. In fact, it's usually the opposite - the more physically demanding the job is, the less it usually earns.
Enrique6299 yeah but work ethic + smart work can/will make you rich !
Enrique6299 Hard work plus smart work will make you rich. Although if you save $100 a month from 25 to 65 you will be a millionare. So you can work at mcdonalds and still become rich if you are smart with money
He exaggerates how easy and smooth 12% is.
You could work hard and make $30,000 a year or $300,000 a year...but you have to be smart with the money you make. There are a LOT of broke people making REALLY good money.
I wanna see Dave Ramsey and Mike Rowe!!!
Me too Sam
For President/VP
@@timothyrosman6371 That will work
You got your wish
One of the things that should come out of this pandemic experience is the exposing of the fact that we don't need many of the $500 million campus we have today. A lot of what is taught in university campus can just as well and much more efficiently be taught online. You need science labs and other specialized facilities for some classes but not for history, math, language, etc. In some ways we still approach education like we did in the early 20th century. It's a total waste of time, resources and money.
June 21, Happy birthday Mom.
Hope this encourages prospective college students to brainstorm other options: Community college + state/federal grants + living at home for two years + sharing rooms/rent at the university + personal savings + sharing rooms/rent at grad school + partial academic scholarship + part-time job = No debt from college nor seminary. It is possible with compromises and planning and living within means and...some beans/rice dinners along the way! ;-)
Just finished paying my student loans this year. I paid 28k this year. So glad their done.
This is AMAZING! so much of what he teaches his kids we've been doing. This guy is really grounded.
Alison Goldsberry is
is really pounded. Fixed it for you.
Where the heck is part 2? Shouldn't it be in "Up Next" or a link at the end of the video?
Me too
No because what if they haven't uploaded part 2 yet. Than you cant put a link to a video not uploaded.
Javier Hernandez it’s been 5 years
And yet here we are
these two guys are my idols.
My mentors maybe, because I don’t idolize humans.

My Mark Cuban is one of my favorite people. Elon Musk, Mark Cuban, Carson Wentz. Love these people inspirational in their own right.
Jose Martin Carson Wentz? You must be a phily fan.
Where's the full episode? It's not on your channel in the link or anywhere on the internet...
sports can be implied for example. there is always a new guy coming for your spot. you have to always practice to get better and stay relevant, you eat and sleep ball. you work out to maintain a strong body, eat right ect. same concept diff lane but its all a business
Amputate the Tahoe.. lol
I’ve never seen the back room so packed😂😂
Where's part 2?
Yes, the college bubble needs to burst right now!
We're getting there
Too many people with student loans DON'T pay them.
Such amatuer! He should put second part in the description.
Dave, where is part two!!!
I am sad because the second part to this video was copyright striked and I wanna see it!
I like this show. Hello from the Czech Rebublic. Eastern Europe
Stanislav Klimecky that’s where I live sister city is
Love Mark Cuban
Mark Cuban, you’re a true capitalistic patriot! Thank you for everything you do!
Ryan Douglas that voted for hillary?
Wow! I love his complete honesty! Kudos to him.
😘
Where is part 2???
Some business are open 24hrs you got to operate as long as your business is operating.
It's always Game time 24×7×365
It's Okay, we understand your pain.
I wish I could have seen Dave's face when Cuban said "buy new cars, buy a new suit"
5 years later and the student loan crisis is still going strong.
This is great, what happened to part 2?
Rebecca Jeppson freak media blocked it for some reason. 🤔
The tuition for college in the United States is out of control ! I would agree with Mr. Cuban.
I heard a story about an (at the time) 8-year-old girl who wanted a horse, but her family was concerned she's get bored with it and not take proper care of it after the first week or two. So, her parents told her that she could have a horse if she could buy it herself. So she earned and saved enough money to buy the neighbors cow, trained and cared for that cow and entered it in state fairs and won a bunch of prize money, which she saved. By the time she was 9 years old, she sold her cow for the rest of the money she needed to buy a horse. Needless to say, she took REALLY good care of that horse, and all the other horses she bought herself in the future.
Getting a college education was adventitious from 1900-1980. After that the number of people going to college went through the roof...and so has the cost. You would be forever better off starting a career (pick any company) right out of high school and start moving up the ranks of that company rather than going 100K in debt going to college and losing 4-5 years of a salary forever. Just in the first 4-5 years of your career you will make more than the 100K you would of spent on college (a swing of 200K!). If you want to become a doctor, lawyer, engineer, or accountant...college cannot be avoided. But if you are interested in anything else, buy a small HOUSE with the college fund your parents saved instead and start making money right out of the gate rather than going massively into debt. The University system is way overdue for a massive drop in attendance. All of these expensive campuses they are building will be empty soon with the rise in online courses, and good riddance. Millennials (and a lot of Gen Xers) will be sure to tell their kids how going to college and acquiring a ton of debt, ruined their life and gave them little to no advantage in the workforce.
Do not pay over $100K Per Education Invest and that way you get more money and no debt
We work around the clock break when we can.
Mark Cuban is great! I really like him!!
When and if the bubble pops, what does that look like?
I have $0 in student loans. Should I borrow money to pay for school or pay directly out of pocket?
Student loans have insanely high interest rates. Pay out of pocket if you can
Just read Mark's book. Amazing great info in it.
Name of book?
I can't find the part two of this video
Dave, I’m 25 and have no debt. I make 40,000 dollars a year. If I decide to live in a 1000 dollar a month apartment, and start investing 30% of my take home income into mutual funds until I have at least double the amount needed to buy a 450,000 dollar home two times over in New Jersey, (The rest for retirement) and keep on investing after that, would that be wise? Or should I just get into a 15 year fixed mortgage as soon as possible and skip the apartment? Aka...I’m not very good at math...help...
One of the overlooked pieces of the skyrocketing student debt aide to increasing cost of tuition, is that states have significantly reduced tax dollars going to support state public colleges.
Look at old Marky boy here. He loves it.
Where is part two? I searched for Mark Cuban Visits The Dave Ramsey Show - Part Two on RUclips and got nothing useful.
mark was completely right about tech bubble! back in 2014
Its 2018. Hopefully that student loan bubble doesnt pop anytime soon. Im Going part time in college and will probably graduate in 5-6 years.
Buttery Skater that’s awesome!! I’ve had friends regret taking the loan and finishing in 4, and I’ve had friends finish is 6/7 5&1/2 with summer school every year and a part time job! They didn’t have debt and got good jobs right out of college
outliers. great read
I concur.
Great read but I don't like the book.
@@luxurybuzz3681 ? These two statements seem to contradict.
March 9, 2020. That student loan bubble might have just been pricked.
where is part two?
still waiting for this tuition bubble to burst... **cries in NYU**
This COVID-19 shutdown might just do it...
I wish he can get Kiyosaki on completely opposite approach to wealth
Mark has a 4 year old wow good going Mark.
So i what is is pay off every credit card bill completely, and don't carry a balance into the next month, meaning i do not owe any credit card interest at all. So my question is how is this a bad thing, i do it for the points to get free stuff. The last free thing a bought with credit card points is a pretty high automatic coffee machine. How is having a credit card for me harmfull.
Mark Cuban the goat 👌👌👌
College should be free or very cheap like in Europe and Canada. Canada residents pay 5000 a year to attend university. Sure they pay higher taxes but the citizens benefit from it. We are taxed to death and still have to struggle with education, healthcare and childcare.
Does anyone know where to get the rest of this?
Great show subscribed
what happened to part two?
Bro put they phone down for one second you're on a syndicated radio show
my first thing was aluminium cans that took across the border and sold them... made a killing
Hey Dave most investors work for somebody, ie government or corporations who own the inventor’s patents! My Dad was well known worldwide for his inventions. Yes he earned well. That said his inventions are still making big $ for his former employer. This is the same for all those amazing patented inventions that Bell Laboratory employees created. That said, Dad loved what he did and to my knowledge he never complained. I miss him dearly.
Colleges aren't the only problems. The kids borrowing money they can''t afford to pay back is the other side of this. They go to private colleges when they can go to state colleges. They go to school hundreds, or even thousand of miles away when when they can go to schools much closer to home and avoid lodging. The borrowing mentality is insane.
wheres part 2???
😍 Mark Cuban
I entered the workforce with $60,000 in college debt. $600 a month. It was a shame that I was so stupid to keep borrowing. It was unfair that they took such advantage of me. I paid it back by 35, but probably cost me over $200,000.
Really? Why 200k? What was interest rate?
@@slotkillah6586 Many of them were in the 20's.
I need to hear more about Mark Cubans life philosophy
