Thanks for the review. I just put a deposit on a 2021 X19 with a Yamaha 200 SHO. Should get next week or after the first of the year. Can't wait. I watched the video on that guy caulking around his lids and found it very informative. I'm Lake Charles, La. May see you on the water soon.
Yeah I agree that the storage compartments needed to be water proofed sealed better so no trash or dampness of any kind to get in there and yes that sea deck material also needed to be added to the floor decking area as well for the utmost non slip gripping comfort !!!!
+jabojr yeah I was too. I’ve come to learn it’s when I wash my boat that the water is getting in there. Other than that it’s staying dry. It sleeps in my shop😂😂. Thank you for watching I really appreciate it!!
Man I know an Acadiana accent when I hear one! I recognized Eunice City Lake when you showed a clip fishing on the water. I am also from Eunice so you have my subscription!
Yeah you know when you close the door on any bass boat they should never go 'Bang" like the sound of a high school locker door when it shuts. These boat compartments do. Metal on metal will never stop leaking. Needs a seal or rubber gasket of some sort. I don't know why those Xpress boats compartments do not have any rubber liners around the inside of them. My Aluminum Ranger never leaks but it also has a rubber liner inside. I wonder if Xpress would install them if you did a custom build. They are a good company from what I hear.
Thanks for the mental escape in the middle of pandemic and election coverage. Found you after seeing MAV channel. Love the boat, looked like a lot of fun. I've loved Xpress Boats since seeing them used on SEEK ONE youtube channel.
Man, I'm really liking that Sea Deck! I've seen it on some kayaks... my bass boat can use a re-carpet, i think i might look into some Sea Deck when I pull the trigger.
+Dustin Johnson no so the 21’ does. But they didn’t come with the helix 9 mega si. I’m glad I got the electronics and not the trolling motor. The mega 360 is way better than the sensor that comes with the ultrex.
@@MurkyWaterCentral understood you get what you think accommodates your needs well done 👍 an I understand in the graphs too most boat ship with a simple graph so the buyer can do as wanted when purchasing but I figured by now spotlock would be standard but I’m wrong nice boat I will be glad to upgrade from my 16ft 40hp one day to a 21ft of something
You should be able to call Xpress and talk with someone about the proper (starting )jack plate height measurement . I would not be surprised if they set the jackplate at the lowest setting intentionally at the dealer for liability reasons due to the performance pad type hull (Hyper lift). If they set it where it should be and the owner doesn't know how to drive the boat it could end up bad . If the owner makes the adjustment and later crashes they can blame the owner claiming he modified their "safe " setting .
Realy like it iv got a 1994 i realy like it about 2 things on mine i don't like way they half way did the framing on upper deck and the way the transom was build which since i got it i adressed those issues its great now
Good video. Super sweet boat! I’m in an 18’ glass boat now... really like the express. How does it do in rough water? I swear the wind picks up if I say the word “lake” haha.
+Scruffy City Fishing it does very good in rough water, I actually went from a 19’ center console bay boat and I feel like this one does better cutting the waves.
@@MurkyWaterCentral thanks for the replies! As you can see on my videos I fish from a kayak or older bass boat. I really like taking my family on the water.. so for a future upgrade I’m between a 1980 cc and 1980 dual console. We are in Tennessee, so freshwater, but it would bd fun to take a boat to the beach a couple of times a year and chase red fish.
On my new 2020 X19, there is no carpet in the storage and rod boxes. There is that "rubber spagetti" looking liner in all of them. Good ventilation to that, but i couldnt see in boxes very good because it was black. Got a cheap, THIN piece of 8x8 indoor, outdoor carpet in a light tan color from HD and placed it on floor of boxes. Big help to see stuff in storage boxes and should dry quicker if wet vs regular boat carpet.
Where did you find that canopy? I wouldn't mind having one for the hot days the wife is fishing with me for some extra shade. Awesome review btw! Excited for my X19 to show up!
@@korywulfekuhle5587 they do have blue, tan and burgundy. The model is the with of your boat. The actual tops are the same just different with I believe
I watched a video awhile back showing the changes someone did to their Xpress boat. He talked about water getting into the storage boxes and how he put silicone caulking to solve it. I thought I had saved it in RUclips. It's not on my phone, it might be on my laptop.
I have the xpress h20 with the 115 sho. Just added the jack plate. Do you know what your pad to prop measurement is? I’m at 5 inches now. Thanks and great review!!
Dexter Broussard yeah thats how it was when I bought mine. Thats part of the reason i didnt order one. I was lucky they had one out there. But looking back i didnt know the things i talked about in vid🤷🏽♂️
Xpress makes a good bass boat though the exterior gray paint that they call "silver" looks awful in my opinion. Looks like the flat primer car paint that's put on the car before the actual paint. Ranger, Lowe, and Alumacraft have much better paint jobs. Xpress need to switch to a gray metallic.
+ddm62571 yeah express pretty good in my experience. I’ve heard stories of hulls cracking but they got that corrected. The doors leaking only happens when I wash my boat. During a rain they don’t leak. Rubber seals would help. They definitely could spend more on paint!! Love my boat though!! Thanks you
Sorry for the extra comment, but our tracker had the same leaking and draining issue. Was super frustrating. I’ve heard Venus is the only aluminum boat with water tight storage.
@@MurkyWaterCentral Double check the drain plug and make sure it is shoved in the drainhole all the way and make it a real tight fit. That was my fix. Seems like my plug would kinda worm out a bit when tightened unless I kept kept a close eye on it. If the plug is not secured, the auto bilge goes off when yer pissing off the transom. Quite startling when that happens!

I would put those rubber sealing gaskets on the compartment lips which should help with sealing the compartments.

Have you tried caulking the compartment lids to stop the water? I saw a review from Ozark guy who did it and said it stopped it..just wondering
You get water in compartments from the latches and around the small seems seal everything up

Thanks great review
Very nice boat.

Fantastic review! Good fishing to you and God bless.
+Mike Wozniak thanks man you too
Nice boat. I'm torn between this or a cc model when I'm 90-95% will be in fresh water.

there are fine cracks at the base of the lips if you will look close u can caulk them up and it will stop

Would you still recommend the X19

You need to add pitch not take it away if you can turn 6300 rpm with a 23.. Try a 25, that boat should run faster than 62 with a 175.
+Joseph Kitchens yeah I forgot it brother!! Thanks
+Joseph Kitchens I meant I got it!! It corrected or something 😂
Just add door seals to the storage box edges
+steven yau thank you i never thought of that!!

They're suppose to at least break 50 with a 175??
I got it adjusted with trim all the way down it does 50, when I trim out I’ve gotten up to62
