That's a sweet set up....love the sea deck material, gives it a clean, sleek, modern look and the way it contrast against the white is just awesome...you did good!!!!
Thank you! That means a lot. I took a chance it would stand out. I have had more people come up to me at gas stations and ask about it than any boat I’ve owned in the last 30 years.
Thanks so much. I wanted something different but clean looking. And cooler on the water than a black boat. Seadek folks had some great suggestions on how to setup the deck. White and silver is what I wanted on the outside. Classic clean.
@@Wired2Fish It’s an absolute beauty. I’d be proud. I love my 2022 Xpress H20Bay w 150 yamaha. Hyper lift hill is the business. Smokes my Dads 23ft redfin glass bay boat w a 225 Evinrude. I sprayed him in the face racing. He won’t race anymore😂
Just a little advice. When you have your livescope transducer out of the water, Garmin recommends either pausing the unit or turning it off. Apparently those can get pretty hot if left on and can potentially damage to unit.
This may be the first bass boat I get into buying. There’s nothing I don’t like about it and the price honestly is probably one of the more fair prices in the bass boat market.
The adjustable driver seat is a big plus. I wanted to buy a 21 in 2020 but couldn't hardly get behind it and drive. It was a deal breaker unfortunately.
I love the boats but I really wish the back storage compartments were bigger with bigger lids. Seems like a lot of wasted space. Do the boxes stay dry?
Yeah I wish the back storage was a little different. My boxes have stayed mostly dry. I had one day in a torrential down pour where my center compartment got damp, but I think its because I had so much water in my sump area it was building up condensation up thru the drain holes. Once I pulled my plug it dried out overnight.
@@Wired2Fish yeah that's my main issue with tin rigs. I really like a few of them but I don't think I've ever seen one that stayed completely dry like my fiberglass boat. They typically just aren't built with the larger flanges and gaskets but even if they were, the aluminum just wants to sweat in certain conditions. You still got an awesome rig though brother! I love the sea deck
Have you had any trouble with your storage compartments leaking during rain? Ive been in the process of using silicon around the lid lips on mine trying to prevent it somewhat.
It’s all I need. I get into my fishing areas and use split screen with map and livescope. Then as I get to cover or fish I go full livescope. I think having 4 graphs is way overkill. Now I would consider bumping up to the 16 on the bow because I would love more definition.
Still trying to understand why some (a lot) companies put the rod locker in the middle. If I have 20 rods on my deck, and I have tackle stored in the side compartments, it's a pain to open those lids with rods covering them. Put the rod locker on the port side please.
How does it react in reverse when it's windy or in current? I have the h18 and was shocked at the lack of control in reverse. I've had several tin boats so I was shocked the first time I had to navigate in reverse in current. Can not get the bow to come around and thought for sure the boat had a problem, I found that it's common. I love the boat except for reverse. Great video
I have the H17 and its definitely better in reverse than my Ranger RT178 was, that thing would do a 180 as soon as I hit reverse, if I was going to moss the trailer by a little bit had to swing it out and around for another swipe.
Xpress is a performance boat compared to a tracker. Jumps up on pad, runs 70 mph, can still fish in skinny water but has a huge wide deck for two people to fish up front with plenty of space. The Seadek option is amazing. The padded hulls in these boats makes them stable, fast and a lot more maneuverable.
You said Kentucky lake? Cool, I’m thinking of getting a boat but I’ve always thought I needed a fiberglass boat for the lake. It can get so rough. Grew up on the lake.
Can I ask how you got a dealership to listen to your needs for crappie? I’ve called so many and it seems they just can’t understand the needs of a crappie fisherman. We like speed, power, and fish ability as well.
I understand your wanting to charge your lithium’s after every outing, but you really need to read into the proper charge sequence for lithiums. You will eventually ruin them by charging them if you havnt used them all the way down to 20%. Also potentially void warranty by improper charging.
I just bought this same model boat. They are nearly impossible to find nationwide. Which makes negotiating price tough when dealers have a waiting list for these. I Wanted to try an aluminum rig to fish areas that I didn’t want to take my bass cat jag in. Fully loaded out. With Cover , spare tire, rod straps were included and added as extras. Which is sad. Paid 78k before tax. Still trying to get over the price. Single HB helix 10 in dash and one on bow. Min kota ultrex. 24v system. Has seadek option also. Here are my issues w the boat. 1. Storage compartments get soaked in rain and when washed. Not even close to “ dry “ storage. This could and should be fixed by express. 2. The overall rigging quality is pathetic. Stripped screws, transducers screwed to transom were not level. Hatch latches are junk. Just an overall “ not giving a s..t about quality” shows. The boat has a very cheap feel to it. the battery switch is mounted to a flimsy piece of starboard. The wiring is all over the boat and a mess ! They didn’t even bother to trim the zip ties when they pulled them tight. Minor but come on man. The pros; The boat impressed me with the ride quality and handling. It really does feel like a glass boat. It ran 66 mph wide open w a mercury 25p fury 3 blade. ( another extra ). The prop they put on the boat was a cheap power tech and ran 63 mph. It was stable to fish on with two 200 lb guys on front deck. Boat comes down soft and solid like a glass boat. In short, the boat is a rip off and not a quality built boat for the price. I would not make this purchase again. There are much better quality choices out there.

I bought a 2022 17H and so far I love it. It rides great. Xpress makes very nice boat.
They really do. Performance boats with aluminum benefits.
I'm glad it rides great. I fix the bottoms. Very hard job
Very nice walkthrough of your boat! Thank you!
Our pleasure!
That boat looks so nice definitely my favorite one I have seen! Love the wood grain on the white looks AWESOME 👍

This! It’s such a pain and I hate it. You isn’t even need a bunch of rods on deck for it to be very annoying
The rod locker was in the port compartment on this boat. I took it out. I preferred the rods in the middle compartment. Just a personal preference.
@@Wired2Fish Ahh ok. I'm happy to hear that.
How did you get that sea deck design? It doesn’t have that option on xpress website

What made u go with Xpress vs a Tracker 195 or something else?

After Having this boat for some time what do you think of it? How did it compare to past glass boats ?
That’s nice setup what is the color names for the sea deck and seats
Great review! Great boat. What’s your thoughts on going to a tunnel hull with jet motor? Thanks
Curious what it will run. What’s the top speed do you have seen? I’m not a speed demon, just curious
I have had it to 70 with it loaded out but by myself. Most days I won’t go over 65. It jumps on pad.
What length trolling motor shaft are you using?
50"

How much extra is it to choose what color sea deck you would like on your boat ?
Why do you have to hook up your battery chargers every time instead of leaving them hooked up all the time and just plug in the chargers?
Anyone have ah idea what the storage length ( tongue folded/motor down). I have a 23ft garage space & really hope this will fit.😜
what was the price the way you have it
How does it run?
I understand your wanting to charge your lithium’s after every outing, but you really need to read into the proper charge sequence for lithiums. You will eventually ruin them by charging them if you havnt used them all the way down to 20%. Also potentially void warranty by improper charging.
I use diesel truck batteries and they do the same thing. How 8 to 10 hours come home and charge for a hour tops. $68 each with core trade.
I love seadek but it’s too bright for me, I’d rather stick with casual carpeting. Nice looking storage, xpress has done their homework.
Are you still happy with your boat? Any issues or dislikes yet?
I've always heard they are great boats but their trailers are garbage... what are your thoughts?
Great but from a guy that has a white boat take it from me and buy a darker color because white is hard to keep clean.
So far so good. I wipe it down quick when I get off the water. With seadek you can hose it down and it will be dry in 15 minutes.
