I bought a 94 Bass Tracker in Oct. 2020 First boat in almost 25 years. It was in my wheelhouse as far a price and it does the job for now. But looking for that Tracker TWX 190 some day.
Ive been watching a ton of videos on xpress boats this past week. Theres been some decent changes since the 2018 model. Changed the hatch size in the back, added hatch dampeners, extended console option, hydraulics, insulation to lids, and not sure if spray liner was optioned back then. This boat is still really awesome but i think he missed the mark on not getting seadek. The comfort you get from standing on foam is huge, the cleanability is awesome, and it doesnt get hot on your bare feet. Also after it rains its dry in 10 min where carpet will be wet all day. Its not perfect as its boxes will leak a bit but ive seen several really easy fixes to resolve it. In front of the front storage xpress didnt add carpet so you have to add some to protect your rods. All in all i think these boats are your best bang for your buck. Im really wanting an x19 pro with a 200hp. Yamaha just revised its cowling hood and it looks killer as well. Im on the hunt and thanks for the review mike!
Got a champion 203 about 4 years ago and I enjoy it but I swear these newer tin rigs are my dream setup. Tin rigs are what I started in with a tracker. Won alot of money in my tracker. Now I got the champ I'm constantly worried about bumping stuff or messing up the fiberglass. I miss the carefree mindset of running a tin rig. Hopefully I can afford on like this one day
Next time your down staying with Chris you should take a look at my Vexus AVX2080. It's so much different than any aluminum boat. I fish the opens out of it at well.
The thing to be cognizant of with an aluminum hull, particularly after fishing a fiberglass hull for a while is weight. Since they are lighter you likely find it more difficult to deal with windy conditions when on the trolling motor …just something to be aware of
I’ll have to check out his shop when I’m in The Villages this winter February and March for sure !! It’ll be my first time fishing in Florida for bass.
Mikey, I spend 17 years in a express boat and I sometimes wish I hadn't got rid of it. Express has some of the best customer service in the boating world INHO. So far the skeeter and the express are at the top of the list for me .
Almost bought one of those a few months back but decided to wait and find the perfect boat for me. It’s nice that they are a bit more affordable but you don’t get all the bells and whistles so I’m looking at a Caymas now the cx20 specifically and it’s sweet.
I’ve been looking at one for our family fishing boat. I don’t like using my tournament skeeter on family vacations at the lake, and my son is starting to tournament fish. I think I’m buying an Xpress 21’ which will be mine as well, but mostly for the lake house and my son to use in tournaments as well as fishwith his friends.
My cousin has a 2021 x21 and that is the most badass boat I've ever fished on. Personally I don't like going 70mph down the lake but if you want to go to the other side of the lake you can get there quick. It's comfortable to fish even on the back of the boat there is so much room its awesome. It puts my Lowe 178 to shame. If I bought another boat it would be an Express x19 100%.
I always find it amazing what the diminishing returns are for motor ho to speed ratio with boats. That thing has 250hp and is a beast that can do around 73mph. My 9.8hp outboard that is literally 1/25th the hp of that boat… can push my 1436 Jon at 21mph loaded with me, my son, trolling motor/100Ah battery, two coolers, and all of our fishing gear. Obviously not on the same planet as that bigger boat. Still… is able to move along at a little under 1/3 the speed. If I were to bump my motor up to 20hp (double) I would probably only see 30mph.
mikey you finally made it to lake pan ! its my home lake and hope to see some vids when you there ? also a good series for you is to maybe get with your subscribers on there home lake. anyway just buy a skeeter!
I'd love a Xpress 21'. Hit up Keith Poche and check out his 20' Gator Trax Strike. Or someone that has one , prob the most badass aluminum bass boat I've ever seen.
It may have been worth noting the weight difference against fiberglass boats of similar size. May be able to get away with lower on the spectrum tow vehicle with the Express?
Very nice! Too bad there isn’t a dealer within 500 miles of where I live here in Southern Cali. Keep up the search and toss my boy Bog a milkbone for me lol.
Those Xpress X-boats are damn nice. They're proud of 'em, too; they ain't cheap. They are a serious alternative to glass. They fly, they handle, they run shallow, and they have tons of storage. My only concern is how much insulation is in them. In other words, how bad is the 'hull slap' that tin boats are notorious for in bad wind and waves?
Tin boats are in. I owned several glass boats over the years...different makes and models. I switched to a tin boat about 4 years ago. I really like the boat and the why it handles . I have been caught in a big storm on Lake Okeechobee with 3 foot rollers and the boat handled it with no problem. My 19 ft. boat is rigged with a Mercury XS Pro 150.. runs 55 MPH (per GPS) fully loaded, full tank of gas, and two people. Yes there are some minor draw backs like you mentioned in your video, but if your not fishing big tournaments... who cares. I just saved thousands of dollars on buying a tin boat...that I can use to purchase new fishing gear, electronics, and trolling motor...if and when I need to. Insurance is a lot cheaper.
Batteries forward to me is under console or forward. And where is gas tank, forward or stuck ahead of transom? Then live wells in rear, too? So weight forward is a fallacy? Though, I’d love to own this Tin boat. I run an older Triton tin bay boat.
the xpress is nice, Mikey, two other Tin Rigs, Tracker 195,with 150 merc, huge beam and can take some rough water, fully loaded with three old school heavy ass batteries, and two adults say 215lbs each, 63 to 65mph all day! on Skinny cold water yo can hit 70 but it's sketchy! lol...also VEXUS makes a great Tin rig as well as fiberglass!
Thats the boat Mikey,You Know it,I know it. Thats the boat. If you find that your not fishing super shallow and the waves concern you weight it down, add an extra battery or 2 for back ups and your good. Thats the boat.
Go tin boats! I've fished both and I prefer tin. Currently running a ranger rt 188, because I can't get an Express here on the west coast. If I upgrade, I will make the trip east to get an Express.
@@CHIPPOFISHING i know he didn't have to do lids with shock absorbers but i don't know about the wet storage thing. shoot him a message, his name is chris kingree and he owns 44 tacke in inverness - fishes all the BASS Opens. I'm sure he'd be happy to help you out with questions.
I was following until Chris said 5' waves(4:09). Come on! Where is anyone seeing 5' waves on a bass boat? I have a Xpress Xbay 23B on order, ETA July so I'm all in on Xpress boats but come on guys lets talk in facts.
It's funny how the people that can afford a boat get em free every season, then you got people like us who can't afford one and they want to charge 70 to 100 grand! 🤔
Nope come on down to southeast Louisiana and check out the bass boats they building at gator trax they blow that one y’all in straight out the water and clean off the map

nah just get an older one
I guess u can put carpet in xpress instead of seadeck

Great video Mickey! It’s cool seeing the technology on tin boats coming up and getting modern.
🔥Awesome job Mikey,72-75 mph is yahoo🔥

Need to do a BassCat Mikey!
I better dig that wine cork out of the trash . I knew there was a reason to save it lol ! 😎 great video
Beautiful boat! Quck question. Can you run down the shallow Withlachochee River with this?
Are you planning to review the Vexus boat?
That's what I'm waiting for too

Livewell isn't big enough for the monsters you catch. 🤙 But this is my dream rig 100%. Thanks for checking that one out for us Mikey.
😁 she's a nice rig but those boxes are pretty small even for a short stay.
Get with John Cox and check out his Crestliner boat, I have a CX1860 with a Yamaha 90hp and it hauls ass and fishes great!
Been to 44 tackle 100 times love that place
Is there going to be a fishing video from Pan?
My favorite one yet but I'm a tin boat kind of guy !
What about a ranger????
I’ve never had one but my grandpa did and he liked it

Love the perfect boat series gotta do bass cat , caymax , vexus boats
Whoa whoa whoa, backkkkk up. One 36 volt battery for the trolling motor. Only 1 battery? Never seen that before.
Thanks Mikey!
The xpress 21 is my dream boat 🔥💯
They're great boats... If aluminum is an option check out Gator trax boats they're even more badass. Another badass video brother keep it up
How is your sho with a lithium
This has been the best bass boat so far

Would you recommend forward facing sonar in muddy waters with less than 1 1/2 ft of visibility
probably not unless there's graws and wood your're fishing shallow. i did use it on grass in 3-8ft in florida.
It’s on rivers in sc there is a lot of trees and stumps found some hydrilla back in creeks but water levels are around 3 to 6 ft deep
You need to review the new Crestliner MX19 or MX21!!!
Dont forget the JB weld!
@@z19ingreen53 better just lather them crestliners up with jb weld
I had an Xpress, it was plagued with issues and bad welds.
Love my x19 👍🏻💪
Ok, lets see the wrap on the boat next to it.
Lake pan did ya’ll catch them?
hard no 🤣
Vexus next??

A lot of pros are going to tin rigs. I have a 21-ft Stratos when I get a new boat I'm getting me an x21
Do the vexus avx or vx series
Dude no way. I fished Rousseau two weeks ago.
bruh thumb nail got me thinking that was john cox boat lol
🤣 I can totally see that
fishing for crappie thinking about my retirement boat glass or tin ,,,tin or glass ?????
X21 keeps coming back in view
Definitely a solid rig with a bunch of deck space
thank you for getting back to me
tight lines

My issue is there just not as big if yoy walk in a 21 footer like that and then get in a 21 foot skeeter or ranger or nitro z21 they feel tiny
You should've done a newer one, the new ones are better and have more features
We gotta be close to seeing your choice right?
should be because if i keep reviewing boats like this i'm going to end up with 3 of them in my garage and not be able to afford any of them 😅
I really wish you would’ve mentioned some thing about the sea deck. Would like to know the pros and cons to the sea deck
Great boat, the only problem is no Mercury. They only come rigged with a Yamaha
love your videos. hate when people call aluminum boats “tin boats”. it cheapens the boat.
i hear ya there, i look at it more as a term of endearment. i've spent many a day and caught many a fish in them.
Xpress was the first aluminum boat manufacturer to build a pad hull which explains why they handle as well as they do.
44 is the best
