My daughter is 8 & an animal LOVER ( everything from kittens to worms ) she has spent HOURS watching your videos & has even told me a few new details about my own reptiles I never knew & ive been a reptilian owner for years. This channel has really gotten me into snakes, but my mom says I can't get one for several reasons, all of which I completely agree with. Also one thing I absolutely love about your channel is that you make it very clear that I don't *have* to use the most expensive things humanly possible for my snake, that I could literally use an appropriately sized plastic bin with paper towel bedding, some sanitized sticks from the park near my house, a small ceramic dish, an old takeout container filled with the right moss and a hole in the lid, an old mushroom container with a hole cut in the side, a paper towel or toilet paper roll, a rock, and a PVC T and that would be a perfectly acceptable enclosure for several different breeds of snake. And all of that would actually be within my budget range. Thank you for emphasizing this, that snakes don't need the most expensive enclosures.
What ever age you are, & as long as you are only looking at colubreds, yer ma just might be afraid that SHE might get STUCK taking care of it, or maybe she has a fear of SNAKES. Thats why she's putting up SO MANY HURDLES, for you to jump!

Sad... Snakes are so commonly abandoned in apartment complexes, trailer parks, e.t.c., and it's not common knowledge. Yet if a dog or a cat is in such a similar situation, people're right there to help. Kudos to you for spreading awareness of snake abuse! #RescueSnakesAreAwesome
I just don't understand how anyone can abandon their pet like that.. whether it be a repile or a mammal. There's absolutely no empathy in that and they shouldn't have pets to begin with.
the only reason that people don't care about snakes is that they don't think they are pets. Snakes aren't properly domesticated like cats or dogs. but, i still agree with you.
It’s really sad how people think reptiles are just dumb creatures who don’t feel pain or suffering, so they choose to abandon them instead of putting a little effort in to find a proper home for them.

I love the way you present your snakes, with a little info about each one (I’m sure I’ll be watching this video a few times). The texture of the egg laying snake skin is really intriguing. The only reason I know anything about snakes is because of 2 things. 1) a friend of mine had a ball python that he couldn't keep, so I adopted her. She was also very sick when I got her. She had a very bad case of mouth rot and a even worse case of mites. she had also been abused very badly and had scars all over her. She ended up passing after I spent $700.00 trying to cure all of her illnesses. I miss my baby her name was Salmissra. 2) a friend asked me to take care of her red tail boa for a while as she had to go out of town. That snake saved our lives. It detected a gas leak in our apartment and it kept trying to get out of it's cage. I knew that was not normal for it so I took it to the vet and found out that it was very ill. Tests were done and it had gas poisoning. It lived and our gas was shut off for two weeks while the leak was fixed.
I watch your videos on my tv and my Bearded Dragon loves it. Usually he doesn't care about whatever's on tv, but whenever I watch your videos his little head perks up and he watches all the snakes come by. It almost looks as if he's saying "haha you puny TV snakes can't touch me"

How about you try making the bird a substitute plucking thing? For example a blanket whit feathers or something? And then to prevent her from plucking her own feathers, ask a vet for a Collar at the time and make her more used to plucking from the blanket :D Also from what i understand she could also be bothered by a smell in her current location so maybe moving her into a different room will help and i would think a good spot would be close to a window or in a room where there is people often so she has something to look at every now and then? Just wanted to share some ideas and thoughts, hope it helps and love the videos! Keep up the great work ^^

How about you try making the bird a substitute plucking thing? For example a blanket whit feathers or something?
And then to prevent her from plucking her own feathers, ask a vet for a Collar at the time and make her more used to plucking from the blanket :D
Also from what i understand she could also be bothered by a smell in her current location so maybe moving her into a different room will help and i would think a good spot would be close to a window or in a room where there is people often so she has something to look at every now and then?
