Are we all supposed to be on Tana's side? As a 32 year old, I look at this story so far (only 21 minutes in) and I hear that you went on a wine tour......... you didn't go to the winery..... you're on a tour. You paid somebody to take you on a tour.... tours have facts being told, stories being shared..... don't be rude to the lady because you have the attention span of a gold fish. 🤣

Its the word of tana vs her and we know tana has a very poor track record with a lot of stories so its a lot harder to trust her word especially when she the tour guide has won multiple prizes and is known for professionism, it seems weird for her to do that.

@@papayabanana241 yea clearly you have never been driven around a winery in a golf cart or trolley, I have been to several in Italy, most PEOPLE come hungover from the night before because they are on VACATION and know they only need to sip wine, listen, enjoy, and ride along. She even said if she had known it’s a walking tour her and Paige would have dresses differently. They didn’t even know how much walking they had to do til they arrived after the train. Paige wore heels! Clearly the tour guide didn’t do her job well either. And it honestly sucks when Europeans are mean to you just because you are American. I am an American who lives and works in the tourist industry, and they can get mean and judgey for no reason without even getting to know you. Assholes can be from anywhere

The company sent an interary that her group signed off on. It included saying to bring comfortable shoes and layers since it would be cold. This isn't the tours first time dealing with dumb Americans

No they didn't she is lying. Within 2 minutes i found the website, it has an itinerary front and center explaining everything from the 1,5 hour train ride, to everything timed on the dot. The train ride time went from 4 hours, 3 hours, 2.5 hours, to getting off the train after 45 minutes.

For future reference, I think what you actually wanted to do was a wine tasting. A wine tasting is where you go, typically to a winery/storefront, and you drink different wines. There may be an educational component but it’s more about the wine you drink than where it came from. What you booked was a wine tour which is very different. A wine tour is always an educational tour, usually of a vineyard or vineyards, where you learn about wine, the vineyard, and their history. While you do at some point drink wine during a wine tour, it’s typically at the end where there’s often a wine tasting set up. As opposed to a wine tasting where you’re generally drinking wine throughout the experience.

I went on a wine tour with my mom (55) and brother (18) im 21 and it was a long bus ride with beautiful views and a guide who talked here and there… Cynthia pretty much did her job and she is french so what did you expect?? seriously !! i cannot understand how Tana thought this was a good story to tell. It’s embarrassing to admit acting that way to the locals of a foreign country. They were acting pretty “uncivilized” as cynthia said 😅
Other factors are important here that you seem to be missing; they stayed up all night drinking, maybe got a few hours of sleep, on the train ride that would have provided a little nap turned into a history lesson, Tana hates athletic things such as walking 7 miles (not many people would enjoy that hung over on no sleep), and a rude tour guide. If someone doesn’t want to pay attention to you they don’t have to, you have a whole rest of a group being attentive and engaging, no need to single Tana
out when she is just trying to cope with the unpleasantness of it all. The person never would have booked this tour if they knew these factors. Lol.
@@skyohhmy okay I get your perspective but don’t you think going out until 6am and getting that drunk when you know you have a tour that starts at 8am is part of the issue? Not to mention, the tour was a gift being paid for by someone else. That seems like a disregarding attitude to someone trying to do smth nice, once again a whole wine tour in France lol. And as for the tour guide , that’s her job and to have someone in the group who is outwardly showing annoyance and not wanting to walk must be somewhat hurtful as well. I’m not missing any factors, we can just see it differently.

the tour guide should've just let them rest on the train and not be snarky and aggressive about it. Her attitude triggered everything. Not everyone is gonna be 200% focused on learning while being on vacation. You as a tour guide shouldn't take it personally and lash out.
