@Avingay Anfordstay If you said only buy from European owned businesses I wouldn't no. I'd just think you liked overpriced stuff w/ a type of panache or "sophistication." I'm thinking like, French/German or Italian when you say that lol. I will only buy Japanese cars. I've met multiple people whose Grandparents were slaves so.. it's still very raw, and that's not as relevant as the lack of commitment in US to correct or make good on the atrocities committed and a large effort to continue oppression. If you'd like to learn up on this subject you could watch some documentaries on the civil war, post civil war era and the civil rights movement. Black Americans only got the right to vote in 1965. You sound like you're really interested, but also bottled up with a lot of emotion. I'm assuming you're a young guy. It's clear that you have not really experienced the other side of this issue, and I implore you before you continue to embarrass yourself on the internet to get into contact w/ others who can explain this subject to you. I would suggest talking to black elders, since I can see your interest comes from being annoyed w/ the younger generations. Look up a friend of mine Reverend Stephen Vines, I'm sure you can find some good videos or audio of him chatting on the subject. I suggest just letting go of the anger, don't pay as much attention to the younger crowd and listen to the elders who lived through the civil rights era.
Samsung did their research: 1. Most people use a case. Don't need fancy back material; 2. Many people have transitioned to wireless earbuds. Don't need a headphone jack; 3. Many people manage their data through their PC. Don't need endless expandable storage. People also enjoy the opportunity to update their phone contents rather than just move the same SD card between phones. Plus, we all know that SD memory fails without warning. So, bye-bye card slot; 4. Finally, many people have realized that really big phones are simply not convenient. So they kept the size of this one down. BUT EVERYBODY WANTS PERFORMANCE AND GOOD PICS. So, they made sure those features were in place: high-spec CPU and high-spec camera. Oh, also: 5. Basically nobody can tell the difference between Quad HD and Full HD on a phone this size and they prefer 120HZ anyway. So, there we are: the perfect phone for most of us.

Good thing about polycarbonate is that it doesnt break as easy as glass, plus if it gets scratched, it still will show the same color underneath

I'm switching from the iPhone XS Max to the S21 5G. Samsung is giving great trade-in value right now. Last Samsung phone I had was the Galaxy S6 and loved it more than my XS Max, so I'm excited! Great review!

The camera's are realy great.. I'm impressed.. having the S10+ at the moment now for 2 years,and ill keep it, because it's the last realy wonderful curved screen device (except the Note).

I have the S21 ultra and absolutely love this phone. I got rid of my Note 20 ultra, I love the phone but I'm more of a fan of flat displays. The s21 lineup has the best displays and my s21 ultra display is at the best mark for not being all the way flat while still having a slight curve and rounded. I prefer rounded displays over squared. I don't have no accidental touches like my note 20 ultra. New sub alert!
Thankful to the manufacturers that they still provide 6 inch flagship phones. 5.5 to 6 is the sweet spot.
I think having plastic, such as polycarbonate on high end Phones, especially those with ip 68 rating is practical -- if somehow back glass has even a tiny crack it can breach the insides, whereas you won't have the same problem with plastic backs.
Having recently upgraded to the Galaxy S21 from Pixel 3a - I can honestly say, I love this phone! I've always put a case on my phones, this one is no exception, so I'm quite happy with the build as I am with any other phone I've had.

Stop hyping up glass builds. They are heavier and more fragile. How the hell is that "premium"?
Because plastic is cheap and glass is expensive plus glass just feels better then plastic
I prefer plastic backs less for my two year old can break and it still has wireless charging. Im so glad someone agrees with me that plastic is where it's at!
S21 hits the sweet spot for me. I was between it and the Pixel 4a5g but S21 gives you a more modern look and premium feel together with the zoom camera, 120hz, a much faster chip, wireless charging, water resistant all for about $300 more. Throw in $150 pre-order deals and it was a no brainer.
I upgrade from the s10 to the s21 and thought I would miss the infinity display but the s21 is sleek and I like it a lot. I'm glad glass backs are gone, the plastic feels more durable

I'd venture to say this *is* the S21 FE. Lower specs, plastic build, lower price. Releasing an FE almost doesn't make sense imo.

I've watched several previews and reviews of the Galaxy S21 lineup, and yours is the ONLY one that I've seen that mentioned the removal of MST from Samsung Pay. It's literally the feature that led me to become and Android user. In my area, there are still lots of payment terminals that do not support NFC payments. MST allows me to use Samsung Pay at so many more locations, even when being told "We don't have Apple Pay" as I pull out my phone. Fun.
I was considering upgrading to the S21 line, but your analysis is spot on: If you're not willing to upgrade to the massive behemoth S21 Ultra, then you'll be making concessions. I don't want a 6.8" screen. And I don't want to lose MST payments. So I guess I'll hang on to my trusty Galaxy S10 for another year (or more) until Samsung stops providing it with updates.
Some areas without NFC support will have s21's with MST. No idea if that is in your region but Samsung has not killed it from all areas.

Literally! Just pre-ordered. Coming from s9, which I was keeping on 1080p for battery reasons anyway, more ram, faster ram, latest processor, better software, ultrawide finally and improved overall camera etc. Richer, brighter more colourful screen at 120hz
Great upgrade for me! Plus as nice as the weight and feel of glass is, I prefer having one less breakable surface!

The lack of accessories is not an issue of value, but an issue of: The customer don't matter.
If you are a prestigious brand, you would aspire to deliver the most prestigious package to the consumer.
What if Tesla stopped selling wheels?
What if Starbucks stopped selling coffee in cups?
What if architects design schools without classrooms?
What if McDonald's sold you cheeseburgers without cheese?
It's sad that in 2021, basic things like basic customer service and product essentials have to be taught.
Great review. When it comes to 1080p resolution with 120hz I assume Samsung thought (as with S20) that why go higher, 1440p and 120hz need big batteries and no iPhone ever got better resolution than 1080p and they are still on 60hz.

Great review bro! Currently using the plus version and all I can say is, I agree on some of your point. Regarding the screen, although its only 1080p but man, its definitely the best. I compared it to my previous phone with a 1080p Amoled and there's noway near it, this is one of the best 1080p screen I've ever owned.
I like mine thought the 1080p display would bother me but it looks nice colors really pop.

Very good in depth review. Verizon gave me a great trade in for the S21+. 384.00 buck-a-roos & 16.00 a month. Yep, kind of a no-brainer!
The S10+ was the last Samsung phone at a reasonable size and price that had it all (except for 5G). S20 got rid of the rear camera health sensors and headphone jack. S21 gets rid of MST, Micro SD slot, 2k resolution. S20 didn't have sub6 5G, but the + and ultra did. S20 doesn't have Ultra-wide band, but then + and ultra do, and the ultra has wifi 6e.
Ok even if someone screams "Plastic Back", i don't give a damn because atleast they managed to keep it close to looking premium.

I just love the uniform bezels
They're not really uniform are they? The bottom bezel is thicker than the rest. Pixel is way more uniform (although its a bit off on the bottom too but almost invisible)

@@lum1notryc828 No it's not the same. On Pixel 5 you can hardly see it, but on S21 it is distinguishable for everyone on first sight. That's my take on this phone. Nonetheless I disapprove of this phone anyway. It has less resolution than my Galaxy S7 from 5 years ago, it has plastic back, no headphone jack, no charger and no headphones. This phone is an insult to every Samsung customer. Thanks but no Thanks Samsung, I will replace my battery and go for another year with my phone

Anyone ever use any smartphone without a case or at the very least a skin? No? Then that plastic back isn't an issue really. I'm upgrading from an S8, and was between the Note 20 and S21, but the price and new processor made the choice easy. It's the S21 for me, will most likely keep it for the next 3-4 years just like my "old" S8 that still does everything I ask of it.

The way Samsung does the polycarbonate it still has a premium feel. Plus, more durable than the glass sandwich 🥪? With the 120hz display the whole series is blazing fast? 1080p display, I could care less, still excellent. This is where 🔋power comes in? On my S21+ after 8days, 8 hrs SOT, very acceptable. Vastly improved cameras especially the 🌙sight. All in all, these are very good phones! Great review, Whoopsi Canoopsi!

I still use my Samsung S8 and I really like the waterfall/curved edge, to me it adds to the feel and experience of the phone. That said, I'm not sure if I want to buy the S20 or S21. Overall it's said that the S21 is better, but also comes down to preferences. I'm also not sure about the no earphones thing, since I use them quite often.
My chargers from my S8 and my Samsung work phone are still working, I think those will work with the S21?
The Ultra is too big for me, the S8 fits my hand just right (and I don't use the scan option cause I cant reach it when I hold it normally).

I've preordered my S21, it should arrive tomorrow or the day after, I'm very excited to upgrade from a OnePlus 5T
I'm still rocking a OP5 and am looking to upgrade to either the Pixel 6 or the S22 when it comes out. Since the P6 isn't being released in India, I'm worried about after sales service, should something go wrong and this is a major factor for me to consider the S22. The only thing I'm apprehensive about is Samsung's One UI and how bloated it is. Going from Oxygen OS to One UI, what's your opinion of it?

I'm happy as can be with this phone and the trade-in offers. I wasn't planning on buying a new phone at this time, but I couldn't resist the deal. I'll take the lower price over the downgrades.

Android is so much more than just customization. Majority of people I know dont even know how to use their Android phones properly. You can side load apks, using your device as hard drive when connected to a PC, file management, compatibility with Windows and most importantly it's so much practical in terms of using it for work ( you can download any file any format it just works).. the thing is most people watch RUclipsrs who are recommending Apple products ( I am not an Apple hater ) the thing is that they are content creators who use MacOS only applications like FinalCut Pro or Logic X and these applications work on On MacOS so they use Apple products for the seamless experience. Majority or us who are watching these videos are not content creators... So buy what works for you not don't buy into the hype or just because someone on YT says it works for them it might not work for you.
