    Ron,
    Just a serious suggestion from a 2019 View 24G owner forget the Fox shocks and instead go to Bilstein shocks. Use the yellow bodied shocks not the chrome bodied ones. You can call Bilsten USA and they will give you the correct part numbers, I order all mine from Amazon
    Bilsten shocks have been installed on all my vehicles since the early 1980's fantastic products.

    Hey Ron, thank you so much for all your videos. I especially appreciate this video, as I am about to upgrade the suspension on our 2016 Itasca Navion, which is the same as your View. The Hellwig Anti Sway Bar was an easy decision. I wasn't sure about shocks. I was leaning towards the Fox 2.5 from Agile Off Road which have been tuned for Sprinter based RVs but was still considering the Konis. Your review helped me decide to go with the Fox and also to try that without the Sumo springs for now. Thanks, Scott

    Good ideas as always! Question I haven't seen you address? Winnebago View outdoor storage locks! Have you looked ar how to replace the universal locks for a different type of lock that wont match everyone else won't have?

    I just installed 3 lithium batteries and 1500 watts of solar on my roof and 3000 watts of inverter. At Jamie’s Van solar van build this past weekend. I got lifeblue batteries. 1up are the best racks. Been using one for many many years.i have a 36’ diesel pusher. It is a Cummins with an Alison and she only has 80k miles on her. Happy Thanksgiving GrandPa Ron. Enjoy your ride and thanks for sharing.

    Ron I love your videos. I had the same problem on my Sprinter windshield cover. The simple fix is to apply 3M clear paint protection film on the area where the magnet makes contact with the door. I also applied the film in the area between the entry door and the steps where you tend to kick with your feet.

    Hey Ron,
    Great modifications as always! Question, have you ever thought about replacing the outdoor storage compartment locks? I would like to replace mine with a more secure lock/key that isn't a universal system!
    Cheers,
    Ron, Rancho Penasqutios North County San Diego

      No. Main reason is these doors appear to be light weight construction and are easy to pry open regardless of the lock. Even tho I have never been robbed,I don’t store anything that cant be replaced there. An alarm system would probably be better.

    Thanks for the review of your past upgrades. If you would, please republish links to the parts you used for the upgrades.
    BTW, we just purchased a 2018 Winnebago View 24V, so have really enjoyed your vids on improvements and maintenance.

      Jordan Miller I don’t had much in that regard but was thinking of doing one of RV safety in general. Thanks for the tip.

    Installed the Hellwig sway bar and now don't feel like I'm going to tip over on the turn. Less sway when passed by a big rig. Did you install Fox shocks yet? RV still rocks going over curbs etc. Shocks are my next project.

    Ron,
    Which water softener are you using? I'd love to find a shorter unit to fit in the under-bed "trunk" on our 2019 View 24V.

      It is a H2O to go. It’s the 8,000 grain model. Mine is 4 years old and It’s not on Amazon right now but their may be other brands that fit.

      Rod’s Random Reviews They all do that except the ones under the slide. Even those can go higher if you disconnect the cable.

    Can you elaborate on the sumosprings? I put my rear ones on first along with the torsion bar upgrade, and it felt wonderful . But, recently installed the front sumosprings, and the steering felt more squirrelly at high speed. Did you experience this as well?

    • @ontheroadwithron2432
      @ontheroadwithron2432  3 года назад

      Didn’t notice any steering issues but took off the front ones to soften the ride.

    Do you have different place to put your tank drain pipe. I also have a J and mine is back by my outside shower compartment which I use a lot . I thought about a tube under the hitch but it might drag or get hit by something. Thanks for the helpful tips!

    • @ontheroadwithron2432
      @ontheroadwithron2432  4 года назад

      Tom McNeill the hose location on this 2016J model is in the middle of the back. It’s kinda weird to me. It is a real pain when I have my bike loaded. The door for the hose is behind the bike so it is hard to store without dripping water on the rack and bike.

    thanks for sharing, Ron. I'd love to see more details on your replacement of the LP gas solenoid valve. I know you did this to conserve battery drain, but I never saw a full video on the process. Happy turkey day!

    Hi Ron, I just purchased a 2016 View 24J identical to yours. Thank you for all your hard work with videos, they have been very helpful. There is one mod you haven’t done (or I haven’t come across it) and that is a 12v to 12v charger from the engine alternator to charge the house batteries. What is your opinion on that upgrade? Thanks

    • @ontheroadwithron2432
      @ontheroadwithron2432  3 года назад

      The alternator does charge the house batteries directly thru the solenoid under the pass seat. Only mod I made was to replace it with a better brand after it stopped wort.

    • @lxwing
      @lxwing 3 года назад

      @@ontheroadwithron2432 I understand that, some think that adding a DC to DC charger the house batteries would be charged in three stages or do we have a SMART alternator that reduces the AMPs when the batteries are at 90 percent charge? Thanks

    • @ELCEV
      @ELCEV 3 года назад

      I was told that if you are not careful using the alternator to charge the house batteries you will overheat the alternator and shorten its life.

    Do you have a winterizing video? I have a Mercedes sprinter thor synergy and I can't find my low point drains or maybe there are none. Even the rv dealership were no help to me.

      The low point on my Thor rear corner bed is in the outside rear cabinet . in the back of the cabinet there's an access panel behind is the low point drain also that's where the water pump is.
