The Merc and McLaren front wings are out in the open for everyone to see. Red Bull's asymmetric braking system wasn't. Perhaps Red Bull shouldn't have spent their time and money on a hidden T-valve.
Interesting how rb had to remove it instantly yet the flexibility wings stay till the end of season. Shouldn't the brake trickery also stay till end of season
If Merc was able to figure this out within their budget, then the other teams could either copy it or lose. Merc spent their money within the rules, while Redbull decided to spend their resources on a brake steer cheat valve.
RB and Ferrari would need to spend CFT and wind tunnel time in producing a front wing? What do they think Merc and McLaren did? Snap their fingers and the front wing appeared out of thin air? F1 is becoming a diva show. Didn’t the FIA say that the wings were in compliance? Well end of story. Last year not one complain from RB. The beginning of this year no complaints from RB. Now their car starts giving them issues and they start pointing fingers at other teams cars.
Oh hey look wasnt ayrton senna bitching to thw fia about a team still using traction control despite it being banned? No offense to ayrton but when u see a team randomly skyrocket in performance with a front wing upgrade and that front wing gives them so much performance and kinda looks like jts flexing i bit too much, ur gonna complain.
@@frostwastaken1 I don’t blame them for asking for a revision of the front wings, however, the FIA investigated and determined that the wings were in compliance. That should be the end of the story.
Weird that they allow it for ‘24 and ban it for ‘25. Wonder if RB and Ferrari will bring wings now too that will flex more like the McLaren and Mercedes.
I doubt anything will happen other than RBR and Ferrari developing their own front wings for 2025, especially as the 2026 aero rules change so much, also the current design ethos is starting to dead end performance wise without things like these wings
@@VulgrDisplay there are load tests all teams have to comply with. If they do - they're ok. If they can find an advantage while remaining compliant - great, top-level engineering is all about creativity.
Redbull is making the season close like everyone and the FIA wanted. If you think Redbull just dropped the ball all of a sudden then i got a F1 car to sell you this is all by design.
Well too bad for Red Bull and Ferrari. Mercedes and McLaren spent their valuable time and money to do what they’re doing so I say too bad if RB and FER. DON’T LIKE IT!!!
Ferrari aren't handicapted they could put the resources in to have their flexi-wing. You want pity or you want pride. Put up your sleaves and get to it. ; - )
I don’t understand something , you keep saying that unless its banned , then RB and FER will have to spend more money and wind tunnel time on developing their version. What , was it just magic that Merc and a McLaren got their front wing from the F1 gods or something. Your reasoning is at the least Bias or your just ridiculously Dumb
Look at the onboards or Norris's Monza pole lap. His wing is flexing like 3 inches up and down. It's insane the FiA allows it under the current rules. If red bull gets a similar wing it will solve their understeer oversteer problems and get them near the front again. There is zero proof they were using the braking trick people are theorizing. If they were using it Zak Brown would literally never let us hear the end of it.

well said, something def happen to them... they look like the 4 best team...

EXACTLY.
Yeah well that's what happens when 2 teams randomly become absolute monsters on track, its quite rare.

Im willing to be that the performance gains on Mercedes and McLaren are more than the flex in that wing
That's a problem of Red Bull and Ferrari - they didn't develop their versions of a flexing front wing but they had an opportunity.
Flexi wings were banned last year, yet here they are again.
