- LAKE's exclusive winter footbed liner is designed & produced in Canada. Made of a combination of layered materials. Ordered a pair of these as I suffer with my feet. I've tried a lot of hacks except insoles. So looking forward to giving these a shot.
Thanks for the tip, and keep on biking! Best to you pal.
Still churning along on my GIANT DEFY's good fellow. Loving them still...
Hey Anthony, I never thought about changing my insoles before, until a Subscriber left a comment. These insoles do make a difference and my feet are that little bit warmer on those chilly rides. I miss my Giant Defy, I’m very tempted to get another 😃look after yourself buddy, good luck and thanks for watching. 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻♂️
They look Toasty. Great vid as always matey.
Hey Russ, they do help keep the feet a little warmer, which is great this time of year. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻♂️
Nice to have toasty trotters on a ride 👍😂
Hey Jonathan I hope you’re well buddy. These insoles are making a difference in these lower temperatures. Take care and thanks again for watching. 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻♂️
I am so glad you liked them. Like you, I thought it was bit of snake oil but having tried them, I was blown away. I usually wear neoprene shoe covers, but these do not keep the soles warm and this is where the Lake winter soles really step up. Those together, I have ridden in -5c with still warm feet. Anything above 8c....your feet will melt !!! Enjoy the warm feet my friend.
Hey Darren, I really do appreciate your recommendation, I have been enjoying warmer feet cycling in these cold temperatures. I do have a video coming out next Saturday and a couple of shorts this week previewing the conditions I have been experiencing with warmer feet cycling. Take care and thanks for watching atb. 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻♂️
@@electricbikerider No worries, so good to find products worth their weight in gold. Not found anything better. I am also a Creo expert having removed and rebuilt every single nut and bolt from my Creo 1 and 2. If you ever need Creo help, give me a shout.
I suffer from chilbains so purchased these from Sigma Sports a few weeks ago ...and ditto i can verify they do infact make a difference.... although in my case i need a slightly bigger shoes for winter riding to accomodate a merino sock and provide enough space in the toe box for circulation.... still tempted by the specific winter cycle shoes ....although like most cyclists we're like Magpies and always on the lookout for that next upgrade. Nice channel btw... not an electric cyclist yet ...but pretty sure my next bike will be. Be well. Harvey
Hey Harvinder, adding these lake winter insoles has really made a difference. I personally can’t justify buying a winter cycling boot for the short period I would need them. I do however understand those cyclists who do purchase them, because we all suffer differently with frozen feet. I live in a very hilly area it averages 1000ft per 10 miles traveled, so an e-bike is perfect for me, because it means I can ride more miles in a faster time. I do however prefer to ride a lighter conventional road bike on flatter terrain. Take care and thank you for watching. 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻♂️
Never heard of those before but they look great. I suppose they work a bit like foil blanket and reflect your body heat back instead of having it wick away? Great video as always mate 👍
Hey Dave, I have felt a difference wearing these winter insoles. I guess the way you explained is the way they actually work. Cycling in these lower temperatures is a little more pleasant now🥶 take care and thanks for watching 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻♂️
They look great. We're did you buy them from please .
Hey Karl I hope you’re well buddy, I purchased these from sigma sports www.sigmasports.com/item/Lake/Winter-Insoles/HTKT thanks for watching 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻♂️
Hi Harvey. Is the top tube bag that you use, still the 0.8 Tailfin that you used to fit at the front of your top tube. If it is, do you think that the bigger version, the 1.1 L, would fit ok. Your review of the Varia radar has convinced me to get one but I can’t use it with my current saddle bag so need different storage. Thanks for all the content btw, really appreciated. Lawrence
Hey Lawrence, my Tailfin top tube pack I’m using is indeed the 0.8 litre. I have tried the 1.1 litre pack and yes it does work very nicely. I do actually have a vlog featuring the 1.1 litre for you to watch if you’re interested ruclips.net/video/29rrlrk0K5U/видео.htmlsi=MZ71yf57RK9cJzxF I highly recommend the Garmin Varia I wouldn’t ride without it nowadays. Take care and thank you for watching 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻♂️
@@electricbikeriderThanks for the reply and for the link to the vlog. It was very useful. All the best.
@ no problem Lawrence I take it you have seen my full review of the tailfin pack,

@@electricbikeriderYes thanks, I did.
These look great, but i have to wear body geo footbeds in my shoes to stop foot pain. I wonder if there would be enough room for both
Hey Paul, I doubt there would be enough room for both insoles, the lake winter insoles is a lot thicker than my original one and I can definitely feel the difference between them. Have a look around for a winter body geo insole, you never know buddy. Take care and thanks for watching 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻♂️
pardon my ignorance, why do you need to clip in to an ebike?
Hey Ham, I clip in for the exact same reason any other cyclist would. Primarily for power to help push the watts. An E bike like mine really comes into its own on the hills, and as I live in a very hilly area it’s excellent, it means I can ride longer distances in a shorter time. Over than that I’m working a lot harder than a cyclist riding a regular bike. The motor assistance cuts out at 15.5 mph, and I average 20 mph on the flats. All my MTB buddies have changed to e MTB and are still riding clip less for the same reasons, power. I hope that helps you understand e-bikes and its benefits and drawbacks. Take care and thanks for watching. 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻♂️
