I seem to recall there being more to that "red button" business than what was in your video here, but I forget what exactly it ended up doing. Like if you had clicked it again, instead of crashing the game like it did the first time it did something different. I think there was a red button labeled "black button" next? And maybe an actual red button later after that? I can't think of what was at the end of it all... unless perhaps it just gave an "absolutely nothing" for free to hint at the existence of that as a new thing that could be crafted for those who hadn't already spotted it?
EDIT: Oof, that new event format. The old format with the campaign had its share of flaws, especially for newer players (and the new format is friendlier to the newer players), but event currency feels soooooooo slooooooow in the beginning in this resource generator format. I'm not into any T4 crafting yet so my performance in the campaign format was kinda hitting a soft cap with maxed T3 sticks and whatever my best adventurers' CLs (which were in the 50s-60s the last time we had a campaign based event, I think) were worth, but I was at a point where the first 2k event currency for a pet token or whatever was already done just a couple days into the event and the full 10k limit was reached with 4 or so days still leftover in the event and I could carefully arrange to land on 9999 and run one final 24 hour camp to surge past that 10k limit a fair bit and then still get currency from the next few days of claiming the free lucky draw as well. Ended those campaign based events at something in the neighborhood of 13k-14k event currency. (And I'm sure it must have looked even better than that for the players with T4 sticks and pets nearing CL100.) But with the new format you're probably pulling in next to no event currency for the entire first half of the event time and then it all comes in towards the end. And that hits a hard cap at 10k, no sneaky surge past the cap. And in the end you'll have picked up at most 12k event currency in total.
