I deal with a lot of colleges in my area, which are Nat 30 - Nat 90. I feel you pain in not getting paid for 30-90 days. My advice is make a contract that states after the Nat date, there will be a additional fee every day after that. Mine is $25 a day, I learned this lesson after not getting paid for over 6 months.
@@therentalguy Of course Lee, I know it's the down time for you Lee and most of us. Do you happen to do 1 on 1 course? I would be very interested, maybe charge a small fee, as a added plus post them on RUclips. People can learn more and you can pump out more vids.
@ Sorry, I don’t have the time for this. And unfortunately people try to call our shop all the time and it’s counter productive to our operations. The thing is, everything I know is sprinkled into these videos. I don’t leave much out. Tent Guy offers a course for this. He knows more than me and it would be wise to follow his wisdom.
@@therentalguy I hear you there, thank you for taking the time to anwser my question, the time to make all the videos for us to learn from and for us to be part of your journey.
I have watched several of your videos and I really admire what you've done. I feel like I am at a loss. I am a 63 yr old widow and trying to get started in decor rentals. I have several decor groupings I have displayed over the years in our church events to get started with. I find most of this quite overwhelming. I'm working on building a website and getting business ready. Can you send me some videos on where and how to find contracts and computer programs designed for all areas of running this type of business? Hoping to launch in spring.
Thank you for your video. can you specify please what kind of corporation do you have as a rental business or is your corporation is suitable for photo booth company. Maybe you can help. I will appreciate it greatly. Thank you again and have a good day.
Thanks to your videos, I discovered this business and just finished my 1st year. I am looking to get some bigger tents and was wondering if you would suggest a pole tent or a high peak for a one man operation (for now)? Looking to start with 20x20. Do you think one is easier for solo setup?
Great video as usual Lee. What trigger are you using in Zapier when sending the e-mail? I can’t seem to find that trigger and ChatGBT have not been able to guide me in the right direction. Thanks!
For my send a text in tandem with an email for certain layouts the zap starts with Gmail (the trigger is : New email matching search) step 2. Formatter by Zapier (the trigger is : Text ), step 3 Booqable (the trigger is) find customer by name or email. step 4. Open phone (the trigger is : Send a message)
Love your videos! I’ve been going through your booqable playlist, nice work. Two questions for you. I’m looking at starting my rental business in SE USA for 2025 Q - would you suggest starting small, like one product or service and building from there? Q - would you advise a booqable website or my own domain?
No Lee, but domain is different from website. You need a domain no matter what and you wanna make sure to buy that. I built my site in the same site I purchased my domain through, which was Network Solutions. I am now getting the consequences of choosing that site since adding website integration is a huge challenge. My next off season goal is to move to Wordpress as that allows the most flexibility currently, in addition with Booqable. The pro to this, is if you every change softwares you are not stuck needing an entire new site. Hope not to confusing and could help
Hey Lee your the man, I watch every video every week, would love to catch up at the ARA show! Started my tent business 3 years ago at 19

Hey Lee, do you allow orders requiring delivery to be booked on your website? If so, how are you managing delivery charges?
Thanks
