Wouldn't get a Ford. Don't get me wrong, look great, but I have little confidence in the build quality of these vehicles. From what I've seen, within 12 months, something mechanical, electrical or aesthetically fails or breaks.
My last Navara lasted me 11 ½ years, 260,000km and never had anything go on it, that wasn't normal wear and tear. Sold it, ran into the guy sometime later and he'd driven it to the Cape (top end of Qld) and back, still running strong, even after he'd hit a pig and did some roadside repairs.

We've had our Everest Platinum for nearly a year, 15,000 KMs on it. So many small issues and things that could be improved, all since new. A few that come to mind: handbrake doesn't always fully disengage, Matrix LED headlights blind oncoming vehicles, cruise control speeds up to 100km/h at the end of school zones (very weird bug), and some settings are reset after every service and recall. Dealer and Ford not interested in fixing anything.

Currently have my Raptor in at Ford for 4 recalls, checking rear diff, vibration when engaged in 4x4 (either front shaft or front diff) advanced headlights malfunction, front camera malfunction, Apple CarPlay issues, and sat nav issues, the modes toggle switch behind shifter being replaced, Oh and also trying to fix the horrible hands free from being extremely hard to hear with. The service guys so far have been great, but absolutely bummed about spending 100k and having all these issues.

Ugh. But Ford haters can say all they want. They can bash all they want. A Raptor in its glory is in its own class. 1st time Ford owner. Purchased new 2023 Everest Sport V6, waited 9 months and it arrived mid Aug. Drove it home from dealer and added about 8km and had engine light turn on with error code saying NoX sensor unable to send message to ECU.. took it back to the dealer the next day, then instructed to take it to the service centre for scanning. Had to leave it there. After day 3, the entire NoX module was replaced and deemed faulty with both NoX sensors also changed. Pretty frustrating at the time, its been 3 weeks now and no issues and kinda over the initial ugly taste left in my mouth. Could have happened to any car really.

I had two issues with my ford ranger raptor. First out of nowhere I got a 4WD low power light and the car lost its power. I had to stop and restart it which resolved the issue. The second is the main infotainment screen keeps glitching and restarting by itself, it happened to me many times during my 8K KM drive. I've sent it for both issues, they've just updated the 4WD system as there was an update and they weren't able to replicate the screen issue which fortunately I was able to record.

I seem to recall Miedecke motors doing the once over, including fluid/oil level checks with the pre-delivery once over( a “service” the dealers charge for). So I’m guessing one of two things has happened…pre-delivery check is a waste of money, or there is a issue with the diff that Ford will not admit too. If it’s the latter then Ford has thrown one of its dealers under the bus.

That should’ve been checked pre delivery to you. Anyone simply assuming all fluids done in manufacture are 100% guaranteed, do not ever believe that. Once delivered to the dealer it’s wise to check all fluid levels pre delivery and put on the hoist doesn’t take long to check the diffs😉

  • @bruceburns1672

As someone in the comment section has mentioned , this major failure can be blamed on the Ford Dealer Australia along with the Ford Asian factory Thailand , a simple check that all fluids are correct before delivery isn't rocket science , but apparently it is and why there is no Auto manufacturing in this country along with everything else , too much of an effort .

STILL HAVEN’T TAKEN DELIVERY!! Ordered in April 22. Initial delivery date was November 22. Then January 23. Then April 23. Then the stock number Ford issued me was changed for some reason. Then delivery was scheduled July 23. The ship carrying my truck arrived in port here in Australia on the 4th August & subsequently my truck has been sitting on the docks here in Sydney ever since. That’s 2 weeks ago! Apparently CEVA have a massive back log or something? Titan Ford STILL can’t give me a delivery date. It’s just been one bullshit excuse after another!…. Yet I’ve got mates that ordered their truck 6 months after me & have already taken delivery months ago. You hear rumours of brown paper bags exchanging hands at dealerships etc. but you just don’t know. Worst new car buying experience of my life! Proper ridiculous! Ford Australia need to do better.

Hello, I own a new 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor, and I'm encountering significant vibrations while driving, particularly at 80 km/h, but the issue persists at all speeds. The vibration is consistently present, and though it slightly improves after the car warms up, the cause, whether it's related to the engine, tires, shaft, or springs, remains unidentified, and Ford has been unable to pinpoint the reason.

I drive a 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD 4 x 4 off road and my truck was clunking like a mofo straight from the factory so I decided to change my fluids and I put amsoil full synthetic in the rear diff, front diff, transfer case & manual transmission, my truck sounds totally different it's so smooth now the biggest difference came from when I change the "rear diff fluid"... Truck only had 5K miles & I'm the 1st owner & the fluid was already smoked looking. I'm not a laboratory but I know what dirty shity oil looks like. Toyota wants you to change your fluid every 30k in your diffs I don't think they use a synthetic fluid. Amsoil is 💯% synthetic!
