I stumbled onto this video after watching VW Jawbreaker and his '60 towing an overland trailer build he just finished. I don't know who put you up to making videos but you won me over, i love it.
Nice project. I learned how to drive in a '64 bug w the sun roof. I now have a 78 brat to get on the road.
I had a 68 bug for my first car and I was 19 and had a really good job so I took my car to the local Volkswagen race shop and told them to go nuts on it I wanted it to go fast so they put a fully professional built 1835 CC in it with all the crazy cam intake exhaust 4 into 1 it had a full flow oil system put in it to help it with heating and cooling and a red line at 8500 RPM it made about $165 horsepower it was extremely fast I put on a 3/4 inch sway bar and full racing shocks all the way around and it would hang in the corner like it was stuck to the pavement I would joke with my friends that it would have a V8 for breakfast every morning it never lost a race in traffic anyway I'm looking forward to your build I just subscribed so thank you so much for sharing you brought back some really good memories...
Had a 59 bug made into off road fun but I cut off all the fenders and made a rool cage
Not sure where you’re located, but they’re are plenty of VW places to get parts.
Check out Chirco performance out of Tucson AZ. Also Nevada off Road Buggy out of Vegas. There’s plenty of other places in California to get parts.
