I finally upgraded to a motorized sit-to-stand office desk, so I think this is a great time to take a home office tour! In this video, I'm going to show you my computer specs, peripherals, storage, cable management, and all other home office equipment I use. I'll also show you my production setup including all of my lights, cameras, and microphones, and how it's all assembled and ready to go at any point. I'll even show you all of the fun legos, toys, and memorabilia on the bookcase behind me!

The PRODUCTION VALUE OF THIS VIDEO ALONE! Bro … 😂 So good. All the stop motion and b-roll. No stone left unturned and great presentation 👏 A masterpiece
Thank you! 🙌🏻
The bookshelf tour was the best part!!😅😅😅
Saved for later when I upgrade my product setup 🤘 Love this Jake. Thanks.
Fun to watch!
OBS - Prem set up video please!
Funnily enough i've been looking into upgrading my desk to a standing desk for a little while now, sold me on the idea sir!
Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Thanks for sharing. Yayy to your recording setup and process
Yes, that cable sleeve. I need it😂
Hi pls make the OBS capture set up video! Sounds super interesting!
Thanks man, this is just the kind of video I needed you to make right now!
So good! I loved the lego animations :)
I have same. 5950x since 1.half year and 64gb 3600mhz ram now upgraded to 128. Noctua d12 cooler....simmilar ❤❤
Awesome..!!!!🤌🏻✨💫🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯😍🤩
Great video as always, Jake and yay to the OBS recording setup. Would love to see your workflow!
Wow 🥰 Love from India
glad to see ur setup man , really a true peice of art , and how u have managed all ur stuff , i wish to have same setup someday lol
that's a great desk ngl
Stop motion 😲😲soo much effort
Amazing 🥰
Awesome tour! It's jam packed with helpful info. I never thought about using a monitor arm to also mount the light, camera, and mic. Wow, that's a game changer! I'm excited to think I might get some of my floor space back, haha. To echo some of the other comments, I'd love to see your OBS setup at some point. Thanks for another stellar video!
Such a great video Jake! As always. Really top notch quality. I have a confession to make... I paused the video to check on your desktop when you're showing your monitors to see if I can spot any potential teasers for upcoming courses you have ;)
dope setup. really love the mario light ⍰
Great setup, we would love to get the details of your post-production process with the capture card, PP & OBS.
Once you get the chance to experience working with a sit-to-stand desk, there is no going back. I recommend buying a sturdy frame and a countertop from Ikea. You get more bang for the buck! Another awesome video as always!
Sweet setup! Just knew that you are a Mutemath fan too! 🙌
Would definitely be interested in a video about your OBS/recording setup
Jake's neon logo on the wall got overlooked : )
Thanks for another excellent work. Yes for your Adobe premiere pro workflow video guide. Much appreciated
I'm very interested in seeing a video of your recording process. I've got an elgato that is collecting dust :D Your setup is perfect for on the go recordings, very nice!
Embrace the standing workflo dude! I been standing in the home office for a couple of years now. So great for posture and makes taking work breaks super easy!
I'm very interested in seeing a video of your recording process.
Do you write scripts Jake?
Nice! I’m currently editing my own Flexispot sponsored video with the same desk. Also, I definitely had most of those classic space set legos when I was a kid, total flashback seeing them!
That's awesome! I'm really loving the desk. And it was actually really nice to be able to raise and lower it when I was recording the Lego sets so I didn't have to move the camera around so much 😀.
Haha, I'm standing at my new Flexispot with Bamboo top, wanted to watch your office tour and can't believe what I'm seeing xD
That stopmotion was incredible! I bet that took a while... 😳😆
Hey Jake! Great video as always.
When you mentioned the bookshelf, there were barely any books to begin with.😂 Do you have any book recommendations that you can share with us?
Ha! Yes, I do have some books as well. None of them are really motion design related though. I have some Star Wars, Pixar, and Disney art books. "Weird Al" The Book, the Calvin and Hobbes collection etc.
Please make a video on how you record these videos using OBS and everything from mic recording to who you place yourself into the after effects screen etc etc
Yaaa! Video absolut recording please
That sunset projection lamp is some of the best money I have ever spent. I use it for videos, around my house, effects at parties, in my VO booth...everywhere! Shout out to @dslrvideoshooter for featuring it...I've often considered getting a second one!
I want to see how you do the OBS stuff 😊
Kilpsch lol! 😂. You sure that's how it's spelled?! Haha just giving you crap man 😉. You always put out such professional content, seriously. Fantastic job on this video. You can tell you put a ton of time into it. Keep it up!
HA! Shows you how much I pay attention I give to my audio manufacturers :D
@@JakeInMotion No worries at all man lol! It's funny cuz some people actually do this on purpose to get people talking in the comments... which nudges the algorithm a bit 😉. I only heard that in a podcast... no idea if it actually works lol.
@@mattrittman oh, Hi Matt :) We’ve found a mutual friend lol
@@JeahnLaffitte Oh hey Jeahn! That's funny 😆
A fellow Mutemath fan! I knew I liked you! "I have all their records on vinyl" I'm jealous... Armistice and the self-titled ablum, even Odd Soul go for $200-500.
Would love to see your tutorial workflow, including scripting!
Can you do q and a also love your dog
Where do we get that awesome shirt though ...
Ny studio is the same, I'm only missing the computer, the monitors, the cameras, the lights, the desk, the chair and some other stuff.
We practically live identical lives!
Wanna know more about your record setup🎉
and here i was thinking all you made your youtube videos with was your phone and a green screen in the back, lmao there's so much that goes into creating the perfect setup

Respect some sensible choices for equipment - not chasing the latest things etc. On your PC - no separate AE Cache or database drive? Maybe if you are not producing longer pieces in AE it won't matter too much mind you. That AE cushion tho....for screaming into...yes?
Hahaha, yes that's exactly what the pillow is for 😂. I use the secondary SSD for all the working files and cache. I haven't had any issues with it.
Sir, I have question. AI can replace the After Effects?
Are the mics both USB or do you have an interface?
Both USB. Trying to keep it as simple as possible.
You forgot the HEKTAR floor lamp!!!
Ah yes!
Man I am super shocked to know about your love for Mutemath! Awesome band, so sad when they announced they retired 😢
I still haven't fully recovered 😭. I've seen much more popular bands live, but their shows are still ranked at the top of my list.
well until now its just me and you.. alone in your office
omg weird al espresso taste test video
Please Sir can you make a video how to draw our own character with the help of limber and how we can you one walkcycle in many videos so we can save our time please please please
it's ESPRESSO Jake, not expresso :)
I can't tell if you're aware of the joke or not 😂
Which effect used for typo in Computer specs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First! :D
🥇
Heavy machinery! No laptop gear for remote work? Maybe you don't consider remote work at all 😄
I do have a Razer Blade laptop specifically for remote work, but hardly need it. It was originally my main workstation until I discovered the hard way that laptop batteries can't handle the heat from constant GPU rendering.
when face reveal?
A 3070ti? Really? Im surprised... this is your livelihood, might as well go as big as possible.
I've never had much need for GPU rendering, so I had no reason to dish out more money for it. Besides, the 3070 has performed fantastically when I do need it.
@JakeInMotion fair enough! I guess with Ae it's more about the RAM and cpu. I'm learning blender atm and it's definitely a case of the bigger the better for that. Thanks for the reply!
Totally. When I got my computer from Puget, I was regularly doing C4D + Redshift work, and it was great for the work I was doing. I know the more you have the faster you can render, but I'm learning UE5 right now and can't believe what I'm able to render instantly compared to how long it takes AE to display a shape layer.
@JakeInMotion oh yeah UE5 is amazing, that's my next stop! I want to build myself a strong blender-UE5-Ae pipeline for my animated short films.
Explain yourself Jake. How do you survive with just 1.5 TB of storage
Well for one I'm not working for anyone else right now, hahaha. But I also keep all of my RUclips content on external SSDs. The primary drive is for os and apps, secondary is for working files and cache.
@@JakeInMotion where do you keep stuff like portfolio and past projects and backups and all that jazz? Bet its in the magnitude of tens of TBs
It's really not that much. I generally don't keep the renders, just the source files. I have a 4tb external that I archive to, and use backblaze to make sure it's all safe.
