Footnotes:
1. A flat surface to put whatever computer you can afford is all that's required to make amazing work. I invested a lot in my workspace because it's where I spend most of my time & earn most of my crust. But none of this is essential by any means.
2. For the DIY segment I used free-range non-conflict walnuts.

@@BenMarriott look into the dygma raise, with some mods it can sound as good as a custom board and it's much more ergonomic. They have a newer wireless model in the making but it's not out yet...

Ben, this setup kicks ass!
Do yourself a favor and mod that keyboard. I have the same one, just open it up, cut the thin foam that came in the box, put a layer at the bottom of the case without covering the battery and then some masking tape in the back of the PCB. It improves the sound 1000 times.
You can also lube the stabilizers in 5 minutes if you got the hot-swap model.

I loved watching your desk tour! I also have a wacom tablet that has refused to die for over 15 years now. It's a wacom bamboo one which I bought when I was 16 for my graphic design education and still use to this day.

@@BenMarriott it’s ok! Reminds me of some I used at a Japanese inn, and they were super comfy. Comfy slippers are underrated, ones that don’t go flat and lose padding.
Very delayed, but found some nice comparable ones! (for those or if any one cares. I absolutely do.) If you're in Oz, platypus shoes carry range of slippers called ITNO.

Absolutely LOVE that you chose Sean Paul :D so refreshing because you rarely have that elsewhere. So, great video, and smooth looking setup! Not sure how much wealth and/or trust one would need though to calmly watch such a PC being lifted up into the air, but I certainly have too little of both lol.

Let me ask you Ben, you're using 2 flat screens. Have you ever tried a curved monitor for designing, or know anyone that has and what they've said? Your monitor setup vs a curved screen is what I'm contemplating at the moment as a graphic designer/motion GDer. The ability to put more windows on a single screen, next to each other, is why I'm considering a curved screen. Unfortunately none of the designers I work with at my agency have any experience with curved monitors.

Very clean! Do you find your whole body starts to ache after standing more than an hour or so or is that just me? I do wish I had a way for the PC to rise with the desk…it does make cable management that much trickier without
Thanks Guido! My legs get a bit tired but that about it. I rarely go longer than an hour. I try to do 1 hour standing + any meetings so I just don't default to sitting.
I bought the Apphome hook mainly beacause you siad that it swivels under the desk. It doesn't:(

My setup looks like it has been optimized to be my residency for the past 5 trs
A bit of feedback for the next time you break out the camera: go easier on the aperture/depth of field. It makes every shot feel unnecessarily claustrophobic and everything seems to be out of focus. I couldn't tell if the video was stuck at 420p or if I was just delirious. Either way, it gave me a headache.
