Just got my third book released with Balboa Press... Sharing here because I have been following your ideas for quite a long time now. Thank you for sharing all the knowledge... 🙏
This is a helpful video because I’m in the process of figuring out what images should be included in my book. You cleared up the fact that reinterpreting someone else’s image without attribution isn’t allowed.
Listening to video as I’m typing. If I took a picture with someone (a celebrity)in public can I use it in a book ? Or just if I took a picture with consent in general with them. Thank you.
How do you cite an image from online stock sources that provided unlimited usage? Let's say that it is an image of a blouse. Do you say, "White Blouse, Shutterstock"? Or, do you have to name the online stock photo source?
Well from many of those sites it will specifically tell you how to source it. That is where I would start. Sometimes the photographer is supposed to get credit.
I never had a problem with an interior image but DID have with a NASA PUBLIC DOMAIN IMAGE that ADOBE is copyright squatting. Basically they took the image, added a red band, and then make claims on the PD image. I now Hate adobe.
@@BookLaunchers yeah copyright squatting PD images. :/ Lowdobe. :/ One more reason I'm going wide. I don't think I will have that problem on all platforms.
So glad I found you! It's a rough thing for people like me who arn't exactly a genius when it comes to computer stuff.
Excellent and subtle points! Well done, Julie! Thank you.
Thank you kindly!

Woohoo! Glad it helped you at the right time in your project.
This is a thorny subject, but an important one to take about. Thank you!
Yes it is a tricky one to cover!
My favorite part is 4:30 “Well stalker, you might be outta luck.”
😂
Another great video. Thank you.

Hello mam. Can i take images from Pinterest?
You cannot. You can potentially contact the image holder for permission but it's not something you can just pull down and use.
@ okay Thank you mam
