I'm 67 and started doing this routine almost daily (yeah, it's hard to build a new habit) for some months and it has completely cured a sciatic nerve problem I've had. I can go down stairs without limping and I just feel better and I move better. I really notice when I don't do it now. I was able to progress fairly quickly, in a week I was doing better and noticed it. To start, I was hanging on to a table or ? eeek for many stretches. But it didn't intimidate me like some yoga routines do so I kept at it. Even when I couldn't do things properly, I felt better after. I was unable to sit cross legged before. I can now. Maybe someday I can sit the way the instructor does! I'd be excited.
It's even good to start off (like You did) with head close to the ground, for many people have very low blood pressure esp. in the morning (i.e. slow-motion-morning people 😇 ), so they don't get dizzy... Hips really are a stress-storage 🤦🏻♀️ I like posture and balance streches towards the end... Everything makes perfect sense 🙌🙏🍎🌼🙂
Thank you Ivana! Yes, I know some people may want to do a warmup before getting into these hip and leg exercises. A morning walk or some light exercise would be perfect for those who feel to stiff at first.
