- In this video, I discuss why we are seeing less sales on YSL Bags. I talk about the Chanel Price Increase 2021 and why I believe that has been a key factor in Saint Laurent's success. We are used to seeing a YSL Sale every few weeks. Will this trend continue. When I originally filmed this video, the Chanel Price Increase November 2021 had not been announced. The gap is increasing!

I was so disappointed when Gucci discontinued their semi-annual sale, now YSL & Burberry has followed suit! They really shouldn’t put themselves in the same GREEDY category as Chanel & LV!

LV's price increase is a joke (something I got for $475 at the end of 2020 is now $900)
You can still get a deal by purchasing them in Europe, and claiming a tax return. But YSL is facing out from the sales game. And as a bag owner , you want that... depends on what side of the fence you are. This year, I managed to snatch a toy loulou for 1250 usd , imported from Luisavillaroma. Right before the price increase hit Europe. Now, the bag is 1490 plus tax.

I just saw there was also a YSL price increase. The Lou camera is now like $1,490. It’s still on my Xmas list but stinks it went up like $150

I tried to participate in the Saks gift card event. Sadly, it was a nightmare and I wasn't able to participate. I ended up purchasing from Neiman's and was able to get the bags I wanted. But, you are so right, I hardly ever see "sales" anymore. But that's ok, they seem so beautiful! And the prices are increasing 😆.

I think they got rid of the sales because things are opening up again "post-pandemic" and want to make what they lost during it.
I also see ysl leaving department stores , and stare selling their bags directly, you may still find them in department stores, but it will be their boutique inside the store, just like chanel.
Saks just finished their gift card sales a few days ago.

People can afford a $7k bag but walking around comfortably with it without fear of it being snatched off ur arm or getting it scuffed is where the problem rides...we would need an alarm system on it 😅
