hi so i have a t3u plus and i didnt download drivers before from the website i just updated from my computer (search for driver files on my own files) and it was at around 65mbps upload and 75mbps download. i then downloaded the drivers on here, expecting it to be faster but it went down to 30mbps upload and 20mbps download. it says the driver from the website is the best but i dont know why its so slow (my wifi is 1 gigabit) and i also have tons of packet loss on games so any tips or anything on how to fix that?😊
In this case if your wifi is 1gigabit, it is better to use an AX adapter (or wifi6). You wont get to enjoy the benefits of your router with this AC adapter.
So picked this unit up yesterday, installed driver no problem, laptop stock wifi card is seeing 144mbps and the to link is only seeing 50mbps. How do I go about setting it to the right speeds!?
Check device manager in the advanced tab make sure that the correct router supported speeds are selected (802.11 AC). check also router if it supports higher speeds. if still the same, check your location from the router (if it allows and if signal is ok, force 5ghz connection by turning off 2.4ghz. Hope any of those helps

it would depend on the type of wireless adapter that you have currently in your laptop. If it is AC then pretty much it will be the same but if it is not AC or AX (wifi 6) then it will help you with your speed

Almost. The common speed of Lan connection nowadays is at a minimum is 1000mbps. This one gets to 867mbps. Range is good due to the receiver in this adapter.

If you are referring to the setup where you will use your phone as a form of access point (Mobile tethering) for your PC to connect using this adapter? if so then yes it will work
The TV box must have the drivers for this to work. You must check with the manufacturer if it can support this adapter. That is what I was able to check regarding this topic per this thread (community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/184886)
IMHO T3U plus is worth it if you are using a desktop specially if you are a bit far from your router. If you are using a laptop (as replacement for the built in wifi adapter) better to use T3U

Hi Jay, this device enables your computer to have a wireless connection. It does not boost your internet connectivity. What you might need is a wifi range booster / extender or you might consider switching to a wifi mesh system

oks naman using that now. the main advantage is na gusto ko is yong mumimo. pero in case you think overkill then you can opt for any AC600 link T3U or any brand will do. I would avoid lang (personal opinion) any Nano adapter since nag ooverheat minsan if you move a lot of data.

That's perfectly fine. The change that I did ensures that I only connect to wireless AC speed which is the max connection of 867 via 5Ghz which my router supports.

Mini wireless adapters are very compact USB wifi adapters which are "usually" rated for wireless N speed (300mbps) with Average signal reception capabilities. As for the archer adapter which I would assume the T3U plus, this functions the same as the latter but is rated for wireless AC speed (867 Mbps at 5GHz and 400 Mbps 2.4GHz) with excellent signal reception due to its antenna. So if you are working near your modem/router and do not do a lot of file transfers via network then I guess the mini wireless adapters will work just fine. but if you are having signal issues or a bit far from the modem/router and have a lot of users in the same network then you might need to consider an AC adapter in this case as an example, the TP link archer t3u plus (theres a lot of alternatives so feel free to research further)
it would still work. You will have an option to choose the existing one or the newly installed one. I recommend to disable the existing adapter if you want to use another one.

Is it compatible with USB 2.0? Does it affect the speed of Wi-fi connection with USB 2.0 connection?
If your internet speed is less than 480mbs then there will be no issues if you use USB 2.0

in my experience yes. connection is stable. note that another factor for a stable connection is the router that you are using.

@@TechRevPH movistar router, but it works well now 5ghz, but sometimes it disconnects itself and switches 2.4ghz and then 5ghz and so on.

It works on notebooks? What happens if I already have a network adaptor installed on my pc?
it would still work. You will have an option to choose the existing one or the newly installed one. I recommend to disable the existing adapter if you want to use another one.
