TheAudiostud Thanks for all your comments. However it proves you cannot please all of the people all of the time.It is my fantasy world I share. I do strive for realism not perfection.
Terrific video! So many cab rides, though wonderfully done too, just go too slowly and become boring. I love how this train goes quickly and takes us on a real train journey through this expansive and impressive layout.
what a superb layout.. really enjoyed the ride. i wished i could do one like this. ,mine is so boring just going around in a oval.... i wished i had space.. time and money to do one like yours.. brilll
Hi There, Thanks for the comments but sorry it is not open to the public. It is at my house I built it for my grandchildren. Well that's my excuse. Roy.
great cab ride love it. I don't know if you know you have something dangling inside one of the tunnels at 11:43 you can see it. it looks like it doesn't effect the trains but great layout.
what a layout, 1st time iv seen this on you tube, what is the size of this as im sure when watchin i did not pass the start again untill the finish, outstanding m8, can you come and finnish mine off , im subbing here, cheers for the look , superb
The track is Peco boyh bullhead and flat bottom The loco's some are tinplate Ace trains and Bassett Lowke. Heljan are finescale plastic. The majority of coaches are Ace Trains and Darstaed tinplate..
I've just ridden for about 15 minutes on this railway and I'm not sure that I passed along the same piece of track twice! WOW! -- what length of track do you have here ???
If the Driver is aware of the failed green signal aspect, The train is still required to move at the most restrictive aspect that signal can display, and an automatic signal at that.--an interlocking signal--STOP.
Hi Xantec, When this video was filmed it was 5 interconnected sheds 1500 square feet.Since an extension has been added now 2,000 square feet a 300 feet walk round. Thanks for your interest.

Wow! Just read about your railway in a train magazine with my 6-year-old aficionado. Your railway has a small, train-obsessed fan in Arizona.

Really great layout! I got a great idea, how about putting an underground station in one of the long tunnels all lit up for your camera.
nice 2-rail DC-powered royal layout
The size of the railway is 30 feet x 50 feet
1500 square feet.

The camera was placed on a small flat wagon I scratch built for the purpose and pushed by a Bassett Lowke class 20 diesel.

Hi Roy just a quick couple of questions what make track are you using and are the coaches and Loco,s tin plate ?
There is over 2000 feet of track on this railway.
spotted this on a BBC news clip. just HOW BIG is the shed?
Hi Xantec, When this video was filmed it was 5 interconnected sheds 1500 square feet.Since an extension has been added now 2,000 square feet a 300 feet walk round. Thanks for your interest.
Is it a massive slow elevating spiral? Also roughly how much did it cost? (I'm guessing £3,000+)
Thanks for the comments. Since this video was filmed the railway has been extended. It now covers 2000 square feet and I hope to film an up to date cab ride in 2015.
