The lemon and cream thing was a matter of etiquette (and based on the curdling), which was used for the title to drive home the fact that Feynman didn't adhere to or care about such things.

There are several points of his life that are astonishing. I'm sure that as he tells these stories people will often ask "Surely You're Joking"

In Tea, the Cream will curdle due to the acid of the Lemon so you don't do that, you end of with lemon cheese, and you would likely not notice it in a drink with yogurt as it would blend in.

It's amusing to me that you mention Good Will Hunting because it's always been my feeling that both Williams' and Damons' characters were inspired in some part by Dr. Feynman.

Brit here, English tea can be taken with either Lemon OR Milk (or neither). But taking both Milk and Lemon together would be revolting. Tea has quite a delicate flavour, if you were to put both Milk and Lemon in a cup of tea the milk would curdle... yuk!

Geoffrey Shipton Hello Sir!I have always had this question:what is the slight difference between “brit” and “briton”?How do you distinguish between the two?Thank you very much!

@@echolee601 Brit is short for British. British people are from Britain.

surly your joking is the response you get when you try to describe that you want to do big things. Surly your joking is also the response once you've done it. In a society of non believers in science and doubters of great people, surly your joking seems to be heard alot where ever you go.

Is this about the book or about tea? (judging from the comments section I can't tell)

Milk is alkaline and lemon is acidic. Mixing lemon and milk in with your tea would probably cause the milk to curdle and go sour.
