Lots of Mack trucks (and some other old stuff)

- Keberts construction on route 322 in Meadville Pa. has a massive amount of old Macks, as well as some other random stuff. One of their DM model cement mixers wound up at a scrapyard in Meadville last month so suspecting more may go to scrap I went over to their lot to shoot everything they had. Lots of R models, some U models, another DM and a couple superliners. Also a couple of Diamond Reo's and Internationals
There's plenty very old Mack Trucks still working in Iran, despite the lack of manufacturer's support. Truly built to last.

I have lived in Fl for 35 yrs. but I remember kebert concert in Meadville PA. as a kid. Drove past that plant almostevery day.
My dad bought a new diamond Rio in 79 the year I was born, old truck fed us for years. My uncle drove a mack r coal truck for ever. Today my brother and I own a trucking company and do what we love, must be in the blood!

Love this brings so many memories. I was born and raised on a concrete plant I'm still around them I'm a concrete finisher my family finally sold to SRM. I seen them old chain drives. Diamond Reos. Man that was a cool video for minded people like us. Thank you

i do have a dm600 1967 and still running good!those mack cannot be killed!

LOL Cab to the side models are a strange option.Rarely anyone ever really needing or using that feature.Id love to have that cabover towards the end. Thanks for the video!
The ones with the off set cab, are U models. They are supposed to allow better driver vision. I've driven them, I don't see much difference between them and the R models. They have the regular cab.

the diamond reo's both have 671 detroits w quadbox, we sold the other cabover and that had the 440 v8, alot of those did not get scrapped, because after we started hauling it to the scrapyard, scrap prices went down, I Know because ive worked here since 2008, thanks for the appreciation for our old macks, the red tandem has a 350 mack and its for sale the # of company is on door of trucks, located in Meadville Pennsylvania, 814-724-1600, u didnt get that from me, like i said its on the doors
its so sad there going to get scrapped were running out of old cars and trucks we gotta save em while we can

They still look to have a lot of life in them most don`t look like scrap.
Meadville has since scraped a lot of that they’ve really cleaned up their yard

I still work here and drive an 88 r model triaxle and an 86 Dm win stick mixer alot of these trucks have been exported

If you Want to Buy one of these in iran you should pay atleast about fifty thousand usa dollars. My father had one of these trucks from 1960s.he passed away اin 2008 and his truck still available

They look way to good to be scrapped, i bet most of those trucks still runs fine, why don't they sell them. There must be people how loves to have one or two
Don Magermans I'm sure a financial institution owns all of it and it will be liquidated in an attempt to regain some of their lost companies fail and go out of business all the time chances are the owner might have gotten up there in years and internally gutted the company and walked away it happens all the time I've worked for companies where this has taken place sometimes it's more profitable to fleece than to sell
@@sillygoose2508 Lots of fleece'n'sell thanks to accounting and tax laws that let a crook take all cash out of business the close it and sell all assets and claim loss as a tax rebate so no tax is paid.
Happened to large car dealers in my town about 3-4 years ago.
Owner took all cash so business was technically bankrupt and must cease trading by law. He then shut it down and made all staff redundant. Drove off in his Rolls Royce convertible and let his tax specialist keep him from paying a penny.
But don't worry he fell foul of Commandments so he will have an unhappy interview of Judgment Day.

I don't think most of those trucks were going to be scrapped. Exported or remove the bodies to sold cabs and frames. Most all of them were probley still road able and a farmer would buy them with out a second thought. Did the company go under and these trucks are just parked?

If it could be done I'd take a few hood ornaments for book ends. So sad that they couldn't be maintained for work use any longer.
Those Superliners will be worth a few bucks in years to come specially if they got the E9 V8 under the hood. Doesn't look like too much construction going on at the moment where you live.

I miss seeing those classic Mack's out on the roads, don't scrap them - in 30 years they will be worth a fortune.
Big company,, did they go out of business. Nice old Super Dog tractor.. Hate to see them sitting like that.. Still using them DM's down here in central Fl.
Diamond Reos All those Macks what a great as well as sad video.. They have a lot of land filled with some gems. RS700 tractors, & RD dumps... I was jst driving a 98 RD tri-axle before I moved down here.

iv never seen so many DM models in one spot these people are fucking choice. Whatever with those backcranked R models. DM was the shit with camelback suspension that super six econodyne into the maxitorque 8 sp ....i used to bang all 8 in reverse too...getting out of one and two are hard but after 3 hole bingggggggggggggggggggggg

I saw that diamond reo at 6:00 working in 2004 when the Meadville home depot was under construction. Using it to spread lime chips. She has a screaming 238 Detroit under the hood.

SUZIO Concrete in Meriden Ct. has a ton of old trucks parked in one of their old quarry digs.. sad to see all the old stuff sitting.

Why scrap them they should have an auction for collecters to come in and bid on them because these are worth more whole that junk I know the Diamond Reo trucks are worth a lot because they are not around any more
