They should'nt junk stuff like these. Its history, once you junk it and melt it, its gone forever. people should start saving these things from cars to trucks to heavy equipment. The history's right there and be saved, like really.
That old time bucket loader at 0:25 would be worth hauling home. It's a 1960 Hough H50 Payloader, they are getting pretty rare. Parts for them are next to impossible to find, but it would still be neat to own one.
I used to love demo derbies, but now I hate you guys. It's cuz of you that these big classics ain't around anymore. FORTUNATELY, most demo derbies have BANNED Imperials, because they're so superior to regular Chryslers, Lincolns, Cadillacs, etc.
very cool video, i love seeing old shit like this, by my house i went on this property said private but went back anyways they got old retired city busses and tons of old cars boats and shit, some, guy came out of this building and made us leave i looked it up it is an old deisel repair shop and there still in buisness.
Damn..there are so many machines that i would like to restore and see them live again. That imperial, duster, jeeps, military truck, pickups i hope they dont end up in metal hunters.
it is a shame to let this nice old stuff go to waste a lot of collectors would love to have some of this stuff to bring back to life but stuff happens.
That's an IMPERIAL LeBaron, sir, either a 67 or 68. Quite the rare car nowdays. Chrysler's top of the line luxury sled, a big notch above even the New Yorker.
Thats a shame, but not too many people want to spend time fixing up these older trucks. Its a tragedy those old REOs got scrapped, Ive been looking at one thats early 40s like those, some parts are really hard to find for them. What a waste.
Too bad the stuff was left to rot. The Imperial was quite a well made car, very over built. And being a Mopar guy, I'd love to have saved that Duster too.
Just curious, at 4:17, phone number on truck is 542-7885 then at 5:52, there is a truck that says Buffalo, NY on it. I put the two of them together and was wondering if these are in Western NY area as the phone number exchange (542) is for Akron which is about 20 miles to the east of Buffalo.
I am Guessing that is a 1968 jeep wagoneer quadra trac, I had one back in 1979, That quadra trac 4x4 was just awesome, It was hard getting stuck and if you did get stuck, It was Really stuck,
I see all these videos of abandoned vehicles out in the woods. Why hasn't someone pulled them apart for the scrap metal? There's got to be some money for aluminum.
I enjoy "adventures" in abandoned spots as well, but there are at least TWO-things I can't stand: First is HORNETS' nests, and a close second is COPPERHEADS! Comin' in third is HUMIDITY!!! GAHHHH!☺ I prefer the winter months for such, but even then y' gotta watch for critters who are making the winter-home in old-cars. That, and weak, crumbly shed roofs/floors, esp. when ice packed. But it sure beats sittin' out EITHER-season, sittin' on my-ass end, even if my knees don't agree...!☺
People don't realize probably who ever owned this stuff was trying to run a business but also liked picking up different stuff to tinker with but never really found the time to do so. I do same thing I buy stuff then it just sits some people have good intentions but life happens and things dont work the way we intended. More than likely they have passed away. I just baught 15 cars that were 60s 70s era that were on a farm for years but they were so far gone you couldn't save them they all went to scrap except one I sold it for a parts car.
7 years after this was posted, I wonder what, if anything, is left out there. I'm surprised the place hadn't been completely looted of things like that old bicycle.
negbouring property of mine in western kentucky had a bunch of milk trucks, mail trucks, heavy equiptment (dozers, front end loader exc.) bunch of kids went backt here, rented a loader and stole it for scrap, but they were smart enough to get 3 of the trucks running and the biggest loader :) hoops to them if you read this good job, but im going to kick your ass for taking my deer stand too.
Do you know anything about this place about what they did to all the stuff there all that is worth thousands even that military truck but do u know anything now what's left behind
Yes I know I run demo derbys my self but i have no idea who owns this place. The imperial must have a rotted frame by now. Its sunk in the ground to the point where you cant see under it.This property was a sawmill it is close to my property the story with this place is there was a serious on the job accident which in turn the insurance company closed the sawmill this happened in the mid 70s and has been closed ever since. I wish I knew who owns the property I would like to buy the military veh.
Cool video thanks for sharing. I love looking at old stuff like this.

Showed up on my feed 10 yrs later... Glad it did

Not much scrap but a lot off good iron to restore, hope some of it found a good home.
There is some great iron there, from the saw mill to the heavy equipment and the classic vehicles. I would be in heaven there. Good Video.
Gotta love old cars and trucks. Always a joy to shoot and find. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for posting - gives me plenty of ideas for future Junk Yard models.
Cheers
that imperial is a pretty desirable demo derby car. even in that shape. awesome vid man. id love to have a lot like that

I see all these videos of abandoned vehicles out in the woods. Why hasn't someone pulled them apart for the scrap metal? There's got to be some money for aluminum.
I hope someone buys this place and salvage all of the stuff before it weathers away in the sands of time.

at 04.28, REO on the bonnet of that broken chassis cab, is that the REO as in REO speedwagon? bet that company went to the wall years ago.
Bet no amount of money would buy a nut and bolt. This stuff will rot where it sits. Seen it too many times.
The Speed Wagon was made by a company called REO. That's where the band "REO Speedwagon" got it's name.
