You know, Phantom Limb's speech actually makes Rusty sound dangerous and competent.
+Kal-El-Fornia An impressive feat, all things considered.
Not only that, but he's not even the one who REALLY disfigured Underbheit. The Monarch did that.
@@MichelleAnnM Yep, Monarch did that. He also was the enemy of Phantom Limb, originally seducing and stealing a certain girlfriend. The only one Monarch hasn't actually wronged is Professor Impossible, but given enough time, he probably would have.
InfernosReaper he might be responsible for him no longer being a professor.
It's all because of Brock.
I love how he put "(written in one night!)" under the title lol
It's a wiggle room incase of any criticism 😜
It shows just how lazy and impatient Dr. Venture is.
the moment you realize doctor doom and Reed Richards are on the same team
Back before Victor Von Hellfire was named.
"Uncle Doom is family Valeria." Man that lie still kills me with laughter. But he really did take as her uncle.
Actually Dr Doom comes later, early Season 7
Wait... Phantom Limb just admitted to losing the battle at Cremation Creek, which he normally claims to have won, like in a recent episode.
Redstar2613 He also claimed in the same episode that a coffee mug, a shoe, and a toaster were sentient members of his Revenge Society so I’m pretty sure his sanity was questionable at that point.
He didn't say he outright *lost,* more that he was *thwarted.* It's the very notion of losing a battle without losing the war which, as you covered, he lost at Cremation Creek
@@matthewriley7826 Well technically those were his actual limbs transformed into household objects by the Sovereign.
@@atomicskull6405 No. They were just household objects. when they moved in the clip, they were just being moved by his invisible limbs... well the two that were found. the other two are likely sitting still at Cremation Creek somewhere.. invisible trip hazards.
I just realized, given what we know about Phantom Limb's specialization in regeneration technology (from his house where he helped brock and his backstory) couldn't they grow back undebeiht's jaw..
Wouldn't his jaw be invisible then?
yeah, but impossible could totally fund them developing non-invisible regeneration. If growing a liver is impressive in season 6 then regrowing anything with that tech (perhaps expensive given the energy requirements, but thats another story) would still be rather lucrative. Heck, the guild could probably use it to help henchmen too.
plus, invisible jaw is probably better than no jaw...Also, the revenge sociaty could get lots of guys with lost limbs replaced and call them something like "the phantom squad"
helpconflict but imagine how gross that would be to look at, you’d only be able to see his upper jaw and every thing that his lower jaw is meant to cover (uvula, throat, tongue.) not to mention it would still give the appearance of him missing his lower jaw entirely...
stapled AND collated?
People, you need to appreciate this.
Collate is a verb which means to assemble information (such as pages or notes) into numerical or alphabetical order.
Doc is such a lazy bastard that he didn't even give Dean his "amazing Broadway play" with the pages in the right order.
There's failure, there's laziness, and then there's whatever the clusterf*ck THIS qualifies as.
Score another clever nuanced joke for the writers. Man do I love this show!
=3
christ, i didn't think i could feel sorry for dean any MORE lol
It's so stupid it's brilliant!
God this is so fucking reddit is not even funny.
Very very very late, but I disagree. Doc wants multiple copies of his work, he could just mean that he doesn't want the copies ordered page 1, page 1, page 1, page 2, page 2, page 2, page 2, page 3, page 3, page 3 etc. instead wanting them ordered 1, 2, 3, etc, 1, 2, 3, etc, 1, 2, 3, etc.
Although he could also just be a bastard
@@darkimpulse2829 You are correct. Uncollated multiple copies come out exactly as you have described them.
The manuscript is typewritten. It is already in order.
And I was *so* hoping that I would get to see Phantom Limb wake someone up from a sudden blow to the head like, "Thank goodness-Quick! How many fingers am I holding up...... oh, _right."_
Rusty is so poor he cant afford a 50 bucks for copies of a script.
He also didn't bother to put his pages of his script in the right order. Note he asked for his script to be collated.
eh he isn't that broke. i mean he takes q jet everywhere and fuel for that isn't cheap. its more that he cant be assed and hes stingy
Hes not poor hes just cheap and lazy
@@E100Omega123 Those aren't mutually exclusive
@@ianfinrir8724 Rusty thinks he's broke when he doesn't have 10 million in loose change to throw around. Most of his estate is tied up in properties that he can't sell for various reasons (like toxic waste, or hiding secrets he can't afford to cover up if he sold the property). He still receives considerable amounts of rent and residuals from his father's work.
This was a very sinister episode, all things considered. When Rusty actually gets lured to the building and the Revenge Society starts surrounding him, I blurted out an, "Oh no."
Luckily, Rusty did indeed have a Fat Chance of getting out alive.
I still remember the kill Dr. venture bumper on adult swim
"Dread Scott!"
Phantom-Limb has to be fun/impossible to animate.
Staying on model and keep him at all times at a certain distance from the ground sounds like either a nightmare or incredibly easy
@@FabschOblivion669 is it showing our lack of experience in animation, that we can't tell the difference?
as someone who's worked in animation, it's always a dream when a character has less stuff to animate. in this case, not only would we not need to worry about what PL's hands are doing/pointing at, but we also wouldn't need to put as much effort into his walk cycle since his legs are invisible. another great example would be the Question in JLU. no face means no need to worry about facial expressions and lip syncing
@@JackOfSomeTrades29 I'm 100% with you, but I have to think there are things that become a nightmare to do, that you don't normally deal with in characters with fully visible appendages, when you go this visual route:
•Staying consistent with his height, particularly with a bunch of characters and scene transitions
•Always keeping track of where his arms should be while holding something (that shotgun, when he was hunting people)
•Interactions with others (shaking Brock's hand, which _doesn't_ seem that hard, now that I think about it, but I like lists with three things on them so it stays)
Like, I'm certain it's easier, but what are we *not* seeing that's making the animators go, "Wow, _this is a _*_B¡TCH!"_*
@@JackOfSomeTrades29 also the subtle genius of keeping Nail in the Dragonball Z Abridged series around, but relegated him to a voice in Piccolo's head so 90% of the time it was just dialogue with Piccolo's facial features reacting, and the other 10% was some out loud throw away line like, *"SHUT! UP! NAIL!"*
He probably could be competent at villainy. Or that was probably all Killinger.
It’s funny how many heroic (or even anti-heroic) accomplishments you can put under doc’s belt that he was there for mostly through happenstance 😅
What? Like right now? LOL
Lol. God, I love Professor Impossible.
I saw Sky. I wonder if they are ever going to have that kid together.
Huh?
bright lights, dean city season 4
Actually the jaw was brocks fault not docs
No, it was the fault of The Mighty Monarch because Malcolm was trying to kill Rusty by blowing up the chem lab.
Hey its the red head raver from the everybody's free intro
Oh well. Whatever. Nervermind
It is harder than you think.
Wait wait wait… the Venture Compound is also known as Cremation Creek?
No. That is the Venture Compound. Cremation Creek was where the Monarchs cocoon was parked during the Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend's wedding (Limb did NOT take the breakup well), Brock lead the counter attack. Later on during his literal Revenge phase, Limb threatened to activate The Orb, not knowing it was broken and it was revealed that Rusty's great grandpa was a founding member of the Guild of Calamitous Intent, the title of sovereign Dean gave to "David Bowie". With that wrapped up, Limb was imprisoned within the Guild's headquarters.
what ep and season
thanks
