A prodigal son. His early years may have been less than ideal, but he matured into a man with the heart of his brothers. He became a great political figure. We can only dream now of men like JFK, RFK, and Ted leading this nation. A dream we will probably never realize again.

A great Senator and an even greater man. President Obama was correct... A weaker man would have recoiled from the harsh misfortunes and relentless criticism he dealt with during his remarkable life. But Edward Kennedy was not weak, and certainly not ordinary. His love of life and country sustained him during difficult times... and he endured more than his share...and we are all the better for it. RIP Mr. Senator.

Thirteen years have past since President Obama delivered this eulogy and the words spoken have never been truer. Its time for the American people to remember the ideals of both the President and the Senator. Yes they had faults (they would be the first to admit these faults). So I ask the American people to be strong this November and vote for a better America where all have a chance to grow and benefit from the resources of your land.

@@josephweaver5385 Actually, the current Democratic party resembles nothing that the Kennedys knew. Trump is a centralist. His views aline with JFK's aspirational administration. Teddy would be appalled by Shumer, Shift, Pelosi & the squad. But for Chappaquidick, he may well have been President.Still, he lived a long life by not being one.

Ted jr. made a really excellent speech, only marginally too long. But that is OK for a first. He touches you morally and emotionally. He has excellent elocution. What man is he? Can he participate in the leadershp of America? I am curious to see him evolve.
Good luck America! Signed: Baron Edouard P. Prisse, Holland, Europe.
