    Hey bud, just want to say, out of all the madden 22 tips content, the way you presented this with a thorough knowledge as a football guy is tremendous. I cannot say enough about this. I am a big football fan, but my understanding of real football concepts, and thus the air raid was close to nill. Your images, with your simple presentation, and your ability to break this thing down is superb. Really. You have done a tremendous job, and should be incredibly proud of this work.
    You've helped me unlock a level of my game, but also have created a bit of an Air Raid disciple, and I look to emmerse myself fully in understanding it further. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

      @@playmker2002Take a triangle stretch like Flood, RNS Go, Stick, etc and look at what receivers remain to see what area is not covered by the existing stretches. That's how you get a rhombus stretch. It's rare that you'll get a pentagonal stretch, but it can be done by figuring out a route that fills the void left by a rhombus stretch like levels flood, drive, slant-arrow, 4 verts, etc.
      2212 is a great example of taking a horizontal stretch like double slant and adding some other route like a table route from a HB in order to stretch the defense out in a triangular fashion. You can guess from the 12 that the inside receiver on the weak side runs an arrow/flat route while the outside receiver runs a slant.

    I coach Air Raid in high school and I can say this. If you're a player or coach or just a fan, playing Madden and running the same concepts will teach you how run this system. I have game night for my qb's on Saturdays and it has helped. I myself average about 400 ypg passing using the spread playbook. Trips and 2x2 (ace) and split offset with 2 backs are my main formations. I run a total of about 7 plays. I smh when I see someone playing with Chiefs and throw deep to Hill all the time. A simple quick screen or slant can do just as much damage with his speed.

    Another question... Are the formations that Lincoln Riley uses at OU for his "Power Raid" offense that much different from the pure Air Raid offense?

    • @maddenairraid
      @maddenairraid  2 года назад +2

      Not really. He has the trips and 2x2 spread sets, but uses a lot more of tight end attached, sniffer, and h-back sets. It's a 11 base personnel system that also uses a hybrid 12/21 approach with the h-back playing a flex role and some 10 personnel. Concept wise it's similar with a few tweaks, play action, and counter.

      @@AreYouFNQRAZII I could add it to the list of videos I want to make, but there will be a lot of things in front of it. @Only1TCU 2 года назад +1

    I was wondering how you would implement this into the Run and Shoot offense?

    • @maddenairraid
      @maddenairraid  2 года назад

      Hal Mumme coached under June Jones at SMU in 2013 and they mixed in some Air Raid concepts with the Run and Shoot so you might want to look into that. I'm not all to familiar with what they pulled in from each offense, but my understanding is that it was mainly mesh, shallow and some quick game. They replaced some of the underneath or shorter hitting plays from the shoot with those.

    • @SchemeGuide
      @SchemeGuide 2 года назад +1

      @@maddenairraid they added stick and mesh and added a under tag to their Streak package in trips as a form of Shallow. The rest was run and shoot. Mumme was brought in in part to help them add tempo to the smu rns offense. Afterwards mumme ran Mesh with a choice route instead of a deep out and borrowed a few other rns ideas for what he called Air Raid 2.0.

    • @maddenairraid
      @maddenairraid  2 года назад +2

      Yes, teams like Oklahoma use versatile personnel groupings to prevent defenses from being able to substitute while chaning formations. At Arizona State Gronk played a hybrid type of roll where he would line up at receiver and they would "audible down" to sets where he was a true tight end.

      @@BIGNOSEPOPPA Concept wise yes you can find the stuff in there, but it might only be in one formation. The only good Y cross in there is in pistol spread and empty base. From the shotgun spread formation you can get another good Y cross, and there are a few others in the HB wk formations. Y sail is something you have in a 2x2 and 3x1 set, but it's not in Arizona's 3x2 set. Your run game is also limited from shotgun with no counters to the strong side, so people can sell out to the opposite side of the HB to stop most shotgun runs.
