Dawn of Madness draws influences from some of horror's best, including Silent Hill, The Evil Within, and Resident Evil, Mike Flanagan's projects (particularly The Haunting series), John Carpenter's films like In the Mouth of Madness, A24 films like Hereditary and Midsommar, and many other works of mind-bending psychological horror, with healthy doses of Lovecraftian cosmic horror as well.

I regret backing this. 45 minutes just to set up the first game? This game will never hit my table. The narrative aspect of this game looks incredible but that's not relevant if it's so fiddly that I'll never play it.
