That abomination made me laugh, because instead of a sting you get a zombie headbutt...😂 until I imagined what it would be like to have a zombie head whipping towards me and no I'm going to be having nightmares about it! 😱😱 When I saw the thumbnail, I thought that's rather dark for the song. Until realising that it's Emily's Story instead of "Emily's Song" by The Moody Blues. A beautiful track which I need after the above mind scare! lol Wasn't clear if it was you Colin or both who was poorly. Hope you are all well by now! Any road, enough waffling, looking forward to hiding being the sofa, I mean watching the playthrough! lol Edit: I did have Emily's Song stuck in my head, but having watched the video, have a new earworm. One question at 1:37:00: You said that you test either red or purple for hand. But the text in the storybook says: test red for hand and purple for hand. So shouldnt you have both results to succeed?
Great job! I’m in the finale stage of my first game and I also used Emily and Lynus! (It took me 8 hours to reach the finale). I’m loving it so far, great game. It’s huge. I did get a 16 sided die. Odd that you got a 20 sided one!

I love how Emily is leveled up a bit and affected from her previous game. I also understand the game a lot better this time around, although I still got killed on my second turn. Just didn’t read the Abomination card closely enough and didn’t realize how deadly it is.
Good news I did take the damage I just didn’t move his marker down the track far enough that was my fault thanks for catching that. And thanks for watching 😃😃👍
Bah, I really have waited a while and was happy it was finally on the way. Then last week I noticed that I ordered the german version. I usually order all my games on english. I don't know why I took the german version for this one. Now I have to wait even longer :(
Oh man Bairnt. Now I'm in trouble. I watched this in church, when I was watching all the little ones for communion... If only there had been some disclaimer to warn me of my folley.... Lol. Not my genre of game for sure (I'm not a horror fan anymore) but the gameplay looks solid.
Hahahahhaha beerman!!!! That’s ok I may have read a bit of the rules in church (during Sunday school my wife and I teach) while the kids were getting books from the library lol!!! I totally get not being in to horror I am not a fan unless it’s a board game. And I did have to setup a special reading area for the story book so it faces the stairs coming down to the basement. I was getting a little freaked out reading with my back to them. Over active imagination thinking someone or something was going to come down and get me. This is about as horror as I can get. Definitely can’t do movies or full books. The game gives me a break in between passages. 😃😃👍

I loved your unboxing of this and the theme grabbed me so much that I jumped and got on the late pledge… :) but watching your playthrough I have some concerns - it’s an exploratory game to progress through the story which is fine but in this video most of the time you spent fighting hordes of respawning monsters.. which just seemed a little tedious especially when your progress was slow (getting to that 40 mark) - do you feel your approach was the correct one (in dealing with such monsters) or should you have maybe run away to try and get more of the story progressed? Thanks!

There is a balance in keeping them back and moving the story forward. My hope is as we move forward we will get more points towed the endings as we dig deeper into some Of the world shards. Hello and thanks for the video. Does the game have a database for the monsters miniatures? It seems very difficult to find the right mini based only on the card picture ... Also, even worst, to recognize them from the tokens...
you welcome glad you enjoyed the video. 2 things one yesish it comes with a piece of paper telling you what monsters are found where in the miniature box so I should reference that. I was thinking of writing the names of the monsters on the bottom of the minis. The tokens are small versions of the monster cards so you can match them up.
Any EU buyers that recently ordered it on Backerkit? I'm unclear of what's the story with VAT here. No tax gets added when I go through the order process. Is it already included? Will today's orders still be sent from within the EU? I've mailed them but haven't gotten a reply.

Great question it’s grey bass with a heavy nulin oil wash and before it dries I put a few splotches of agrax earthshade. Last the red is “blood for the blood god” technical paint from games workshop. 😃😃👍
At the start of Turn 3 ~1:49 the Terror is Malign (muh-line) means evil. Root word for Malignant. This game is frickin rad. I just cleared Primal off the table; lost solo to Hydar using Thoreg and Dareon 😢 to make space on the table to play this next week 😃

Great playthrough as always! And I have question about Support Card @44.49 ... Rulebook on page 27 only say that "you must perform at least one other action in between" but didn't mention that you need to perform action that losing mental capacity. So I believe we can use a support card and then perform action by spending sentience on "Brain Domain", then use another support card again, correct?

I was also worried about the delays. But the company came through and the game is incredible. Unique and very fun. Also well worth the price (I think the core was $80 or so, and around $130 with the minis) especially given how much work went into it, how good it plays, and how much content there is.

They missed an awesome opportunity to use a small die and recess the numbers on the starting board to show the starting stats and a small die would set in the recess and you could use that to keep track of your stats, heck the dice could be of the respective color. I will be doing that at least for the 5 instead of the pad, now to find small dice in/or close to the appropriate color :)
Oh wow that would have been really cool. They give a ton of paper but that die would have probably been easier since when you hold the coda card in your hand you could instantly tick the die up and down. I might have to do that a next time. Time to steal dice from Sagrada lol!!! 😃😃👍

Great question. This game doesn’t come with a tutorial! But it looks like a lot more than it is. It’s really a game of skill checks and actions that happen based on where you are on the track. More to come soon!!! 😃😃👍

Yes the writing is top notch. I kinda wish there was less monsters to deal with and more story to explore. At lease this gives good replay value you can’t see everything in one play!! 😃😃👍

Btw. watched the rest and there was a couple of things i think you did wrong. 1: You asked yourself and when activating the monster where you moved it 1 closer and then read the next which couldnt resolve. I would then have expected it to have to do the final one due to the fact that its just as if you went to number 2 normally. 2: At one point Emily gets teleported to a location and has to resolve an encounter there. However you say during the encounter that its Lynas handling it. As i understood that text it forces emily to go there and resolve, so should have been her doing the tests. Otherwise great playthrough

Now that you've played. The delay in the game for so long. The bad taste in everyone's mouth. Do you actually enjoy this game. Is it good; mechanics, art, story and direction? I got the game never opened was thinking of just selling it but I may open and keep it.
I liked the game good writing and fun. It is a long game though 6-8 hours they have made a shorter version of the game but I think it’s best to play it the way it was designed. So if you like long games it’s fun 😃😃👍
Im glad they went back and reworked this game it has turned out to be a ton of fun. Though I am surprised at how much "Combat" there is compared to digging into the story. This may change as the game progresses we shall see. Thanks for the great comment and thanks for all the continued support

I got the game never opened was thinking of just selling it but I may open and keep it.
I liked the game good writing and fun. It is a long game though 6-8 hours they have made a shorter version of the game but I think it’s best to play it the way it was designed. So if you like long games it’s fun 😃😃👍

Im glad they went back and reworked this game it has turned out to be a ton of fun. Though I am surprised at how much "Combat" there is compared to digging into the story. This may change as the game progresses we shall see. Thanks for the great comment and thanks for all the continued support
Just got to turn 2, that’s a lot of monsters! The dice rolling + symbol manipulation to get needed symbols looks like a lot of fun.
