Bluewater fishing / spearfishing for tuna and mahi mahi, Azores 2021| Pesca / Caça submarina Açores

Footage from an eventful day on the sea south of São Miguel, Azores, autumn 2021. Mainly trolling for tuna, but the speargun also came in use. Not fishing or spearfishing in the purist's sense - but an pragmatic approach to landing a big fish.

Bait balls and spearfishing, does it get any better from a visualisation thing! Always lights me up diving on a bait ball , all bets are off, you never know is going to come charging through! Know how you feel, the one chance i got at a monster kingfish whilst in Australia and i'd just used my shot for a mediocre morwong seconds before it came into view

Well I am not sure they are active there anymore. Normally I just talk to hosts etc - everybody seems to know a spearo there:) Enjoy your diving!
