My mother was so obsessive with cleaning it was uncomfortable it also made me sickly because I was never exposed to germs. Being too clean is just as unhealthy in home environment as being too filthy.

Absolutely agree. I love to clean but using too many antibacterial soaps etc will only cause more problems. To build immunity you have to be exposed to things. 😊

This one was a waste of time. She.clearly stated she doesn't care & only did this because she undersrood other people felt she should & she's using this goodhearted woman to find her more space for her crap.

Hoarding is a mental health issue. Depressed people are good at masking. This lady needs counseling, but helping her by cleaning is a start. Kudos to the the lady helping her, and to the woman making the first step in admitting she needs help. Yes a K95 mask would help.

She should not be used to dust and mold especially mold because mold gets in your lungs and it can kill you

I wouldn't bother. There would be no point in cleaning that pigsty if she would just turn that house back into what it was. This was suppose to help her. And she won't even get rid of a dead twig plant pot. Unbelivable. Some people are beyond saving.

you might be able to make a deal with her that you will throw away your grandmothers bible if she will throw the pot away

The show is exactly what I said and thought it would be which is the social aspect of the American version it doesn't seem they're actually giving people therapy just going in and cleaning the house of why they got to that point in the first place?

You’re exactly right. I began hoarding after my sister took her life and them by parents died within a year of each other ten years later. My dad was a bit of a hoarder. He wouldn’t let anyone but his kids in his house. When I started collecting stuff, I’d repeat comments my Dad would have made about how it could be used. It’s only because of these shows I’ve been able to view myself realistically because I hear these people saying the same things I’ve said…it’s weird how being completely alone and having no support can twist your mind into being someone you’re not…because I was nearly late 40s when I started…I was very house proud and garden proud also prior…honestly it made me feel closer to my Dad. Incredibly sad…I am on my way to getting the place sorted but it’s taken a couple of years and I have a shed I can’t get in to go…it is so depressing…a so time consuming because of the physical aspect…and I still insist on getting everything to the second hand shop or whatever…but after this binge, I’m going to chuck it….stuff this life. Today I’m doing a couple of tip runs …thank you “filth” for all these wonderful FREE shows…a blessing in this day and age. God bless everyone.❤

I am a proud Pagan. I am also open to learning about other belief systems. To me all faiths are valid. I am also very clean and my house is spotless. Please do not judge everyone based on one person you do not like. You will miss out on a lot of chances to learn and grow.
