That's the same problem here in the Netherlands. We have basswood trees, but they are quite hard. I recently bought a price of Willow and a piece of poplar, and they are a softer than basswood.

Well folks…yup the years are catching up on this ole codger so I thought it was time to reflect. In recent years I’ve shown an interest in fly fishing and wood carving.
