As an Irishwoman from Co. Kildare (horse racing country) Lee Mack's impersonation of an Irish jockey is spot on. The worrying thing is, I can understand every word he is saying. Love these sketch shows, comedy gold.
I love Tim Vine and Lee Mack.. It used to annoy my mum and brother that I literally used to scream with laughter when I first watched it. The sketch with the three men at the urinal is incredible
Lee Mack as that Irish Jockey is maybe one of the funniest things I've seen since The Two Ronnies fork -handles sketch. I was in tears! And Lee himself is just overall brilliant!
A couple of quirky jokes and an innovative idea can really go along way. So many jokes in such a small segment, it really is a marvel to look at. The writers of these works of art are quick witted geniuses
The credits were going by too quick for me to catch… but I’d imagine it’s written by Lee Mack & Tim Vine… of course they worked together again some time after this on “Not Going Out”
So funny. Never saw it before. I'm quite lucky to be seeing this, thank you. Wonderful. Lee and Tim are so good and well supported by the rest. Great cast.
I was out of the country when this was aired and I never heard of "the Sketch Show" till RUclips put this in my recommendations. I'll look for more episodes now.
The overall format was ITV's answer to The Fast Show on the BBC. I much prefer it though, I never understood the hype around The Fast Show. It was the exact same jokes every single week. If you've seen one episode, you've seen them all. 7:25 "It's time to be Whittled. And here's your host, Tim Vine.".
thats hilarious. I watched all teh french canadian sketches first but then I'm watching the british ones (the originals right?) and I know all of them but it's still funny as hell >< !!! we need more !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically across the plains?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
Such a shame. Lee, who wrote lots of the jokes in this show, doesn't quite like the show. It'd be nice to have them write again with their new humour as older comedians.
What the actual feck are you on about now??? Are you taking the fecking mickey again??? "Lee doesn't like the show" ??? What does that even mean??? Buy a bigger helmet for fecks sake...
dude made up a story, made up a word from the story, gave it a definition related to the story then used it in the game… i don’t know why i’ve never thought of that😂😂😂
This is an absolute gem of a show
Or as they say in France: this is an absolute gem of a show :-).
Funny as f*ck

The three guys in the toilets, I can't believe you used to be able to smoke in pubs.

When he is at the bus stop towards the start and decides to walk he goes the wrong way.
Deciphering the jock gave me a real laugh.

They are very good singers.

All the leaves are brown:)
The sketches with just Lee and Tim look very like they could have been scenes from early series of Not Going Out. :-)
So this is the origin of the Indonesian Sketch Show on Trans TV. The Indonesian Sketch Show was aired on Trans TV from 2008 to 2015.
That was hilarious!
that jockey one is a classic
Does the dvd really has episodes in 240p or people upload it in low quality to avoid copyright strikes?
this took me 10 second to find
ruclips.net/video/BHdVMVaHLvE/видео.html

No..wonder why..
@Leemnc1 it was due to poor viewership that's why
So...how many times did the actors bite their tongue before they got the dialogue down in the jockey skit?
Bamboozled once more!
Where to see full episodes?
Anyone know where (or even if) to get this to buy on dvd?
Check out the sketch show UK so1eo1 at 7:00 minutes

dude made up a story, made up a word from the story, gave it a definition related to the story then used it in the game… i don’t know why i’ve never thought of that😂😂😂
is Kitty and Ronni the same lady? or is the resolution so bad they just look and sound the same?
Kitty took over in the second series. Ronni had other shows, I think with Alistair MacGowan
@@TheMusicianTom OH thought maybe they sexed up her name to make the show more popular... my quip still remains valid regardless :D
