Cannot get over how stunning this ride looked back during it's early years. With today's advancements, it could be even better if Disney actually cared enough. Something I really like is how much shorter and smoother the characters' fur was. The fabrics they use now make them look like furry plush toys.

I Like the fluff a lot, makes them look pretty accurate to the movie.
I missed when Disney was proud of this attraction
It's being changed because they refused to fix anything so they left it to rot except for the paint and mold.

In all my years of following Splash Mountain, I NEVER KNEW that Br'er Rabbit's eyes moved when he's in the beehive!! I haven't seen that ONCE!! 🤯
When your moving 5mph it's hard to catch
The animatronics moved alot more and also why brer rabbit eyes stop moving in later years when brer fox capture him in the beehive
All the Brer Rabbit animatronics In the ride that had moving eyes and eyelids were removed because they were to expensive to fix. So the moving eyes were all replaced with static ones. The last Brer Rabbit in the ride that had blinking eyes was the Brer Rabbit in the finale,They were replaced with static eyes during a refurb in 2019 or so

They work so well, I remember when Brer Rabbit actually had moving eyes, they looks so clean and fresh. Also was that Brer frog line at the beginning of the video just not used? I’ve never heard it
I believe it was only a line used for the special. I don’t think it was in the actual ride.
@@TheSplashMountainChannel Actually, this line was used in the shadow loop for the queue.

Wow the movement is so alive no wonder they closed it. Disney don't care about rasism. They closed it because they just couldn't afford to fix every animictronic on this ride. It was time to start a new.
Also it's clear Brer Rabbit and Fox became friends after the story meaning both races got along
But Splash Mountain will be coming to Rec Room 😁
