Frankenstein by the same group, is technically the song most people know them for. I believe there is an amazing live version of it too. The 2 blond guys are Brothers. D9nt sleep on the guitar player, he is about as fantastic at the guitar as the other one is vocally/sax/organ. So glad you enjoyed it. Also this is a cover. The original is from like the 30s, and is simpler but great. In the 80s it was covered by David Lee Roth, after he left Van Halen. Though it is not as good as this, it is a bit more upbeat, and fun in its own right. Check them out, even if you don't react to them.
Cheers as always bro, I will definitely add it to the queue. This one had me for sure!
The original guitarist on Frankenstein is Ronnie Montrose on the “They Only Come Out at Night” then afterwards Rick Derringer!
When they recorded this Johnny was the big star and was one of the headliners at Woodstock. He brought Edgar out for 4 or 5 songs during his set. Check out Be Careful With a Fool from this same show and you will hear some amazing blues guitar. They went their separate ways musically as Edgar loved Jazz, Johnny the Blues and played rock and roll to pay the bills. Even though Johnny had substance issues and bad management he became a legendary blues player. If you loved, this check out Edgar Winters White Trash, an explosive group with blues and gospel.
Two very underrated musicians in my opinion!
I ABSOLUTELY second "Be Careful With a Fool" from this same concert!
Johnny is the bluesman, Edgar, Jazz.
Both played rock off and on. They were loyal to each other's craft but, rarely played together because they wanted to keep their own style and not pick up each other's riffs.
Johnny Winter is the first non African-American to be inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame, he is a Grammy winning artist and, was the producer of Muddy Waters Grammy winning albums as well! That dude is NOT to be missed!
I've seen Edgar Winter twice in concert. He is amazing! Johnny was one of the best blues guitarists at the time!
Listen to this song from the Edgar Winter's White Trash Live Roadwork album. Best version ever!!!
Wow!!!!!!😱😱😍 The instrumentals was absolutely amazing. This remind me of church when I was a little girl 😅 with a taste of jazz. This was crazy good, that I almost couldn't finish the song from rewinding so much. Great reaction babe🥰🥂 I want moreee. Thanks @steve_Zirc for this lovely recommendation!!!
Thanks babe I really appreciate you 💗❤️💯
Two Brothers.
One "mother":
Music.
These two brothers are amazing in their own right never mind together. I am glad that you are reacting to this... no one should live out their life and never hear this at least once. That would be sad haha. I saw Edgar live back in the "White Trash" band days and the two brothers together some years later. Nice reaction. ❤☮🙏
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edgar_Winter%27s_White_Trash_(album)
Edgar had some soul when he sang..unbelievable.
Johnny Winter was inducted into the blues hall of fame :)
Nice reaction man. Great to hear and see more people appreciate the talent of the Winter brothers. They have NEVER gotten their due.
He sing with so much passion & soul. Love it!!!
Such greatness 💪
Edgar is 81 still gigging
ouuu thats dope
Edgar is truly an amazing vocalist, sax player and keyboard player! And his brother Johnny is no slouch on the guitar, either! You have to hear Edgar's best version of this song, listen to Edgar Winter's White Trash album Roadwork. You will not be disappointed! I think it's among the best live albums ever in my opinion...
By the way, both brothers are actually albinos - no pigmentation in their skin and their eyes are sensitive to light, as well... They both found their niche in music. Edgar is still alive and performing.... Anyway, both brothers have multiple albums to browse. Edgar's first album Entrance is more jazz influenced, but still pretty darn great in it's own way...
Phenomenal vocals. ♪🎷😎 Love the saxophone.
agreed and man that guy can play!
Guitar is Johnny Winter. Organ/sax Edgar Winter. Twin brothers.
They are killer making these tunes 🔥
They're not twins. Johnny is older than Edgar.
@@sallylapradd2900 Yep...not twins. Just a ton of freakin talent from the same gene pool.
You want to hear this version on fire listen to Edgar Winter (sax/keyboard player) and band WHITE TRASH on their live album "Roadwork". BTW the guitar player is Johnny Winter, an bonafide LEGEND with guitar players. BTW, if you don't listen to the blues, you picked a damn good start with this one
Two brothers born with albinism that have to avoid the sun spent a lot of time learning music, and learned it well.
Oh wow I didn't know that ❤️
Definitely the Blues!
Oh baby! Can't wait
💪😁
Who is DAT? That is Edgar Winter on the vocals,, keyboard and alto sax and his brother Johnny floating around on stage with his guitar..Edgars first album called Entrance and Edgar Winters White Trash era is the early part of his career that you should check it first if you are interested in his stuff . *.DYINGTO LIVE ,, Give It Everything You Got,,, Save The Planet ,,are 3 songs for a good start . .Rapper Tu Pac sampled Dying To Live
I saw White Trash mentioned elsewhere in the comments, that was the name of Edgar's band for a while... very highly recommend their cover of Chuck Berry's "Back in the U.S.A." from their Roadwork live album
That's my buddy the red and black rocker on drums... Chuck Ruff... rip my brother.
Rip man
Thanks for posting this, very cool.
You might also enjoy "Boot Hill" by Johnny Winters.
Excellent choice. An absolute classic. Yeah, after this, you can skip the Roth nonsense. Love your channel, young man!
Thank you so much 😁😆

Great reaction to a great song, please react to Johnny Winter doing "Mean Town Blues" live at Woodstock, thank you.
Thank you for the support🥂. Will definitely add it to the queue
💙
I posted Tobacco Road from White Trash Roadwork live at the Apollo but if you want to hear white dudes being as funky and soulful as black dudes (and or black dudettes) check out the whole album! Absolutely one of my favorites! As far as live albums go this and Made In Japan are the absolute best!
Oh snap okay I'll see what's the deal with it ❤️💪
World class scatting, eh? Almost an embarrassingly rich amount of talent on that stage!
crazy indeed
Wait until you get to the guitar!
FRANKENSTEIN!!!
Live... of course.
Added
they were the next step in blues for sure. Awesome to see you diggin on it. If you want to hear a different take on it by a rock band that was as good at rock as these guys was at blues then check this out ruclips.net/video/UBPdJwibh6A/видео.html
Thanks so much for checking in I really appreciate it and sure I'll add your request to the list 💪
Welcome to Edgar and Johnny! Great reaction. I saw some suggestions for Frankenstein live. There are several versions out there, but the best (both for video and sound quality) is at ruclips.net/video/P8f-Qb-bwlU/видео.html. For a deeper dive into Edgar, try Dying to Live at ruclips.net/video/opGVGKw_lDU/видео.html. Lots more where that came from, but it's a great start to get you hooked.
Thanks EWfan!😊 will definitely check it out!
This is not a song to listen to at 5am
lol
Johnny Winter's voice is better for this song.
Listen to FRANKENSTEIN
Listen to some music with real instrumentation instead some of the other crap out there..☺The Winter brothers, Edger plays just about every instrument, that's the one singing his brother Johnny was one of the best blues guitarist ever.
give me a favorite of yours
The Allman brothers to start...and i have many more.☺
