- Back in May 2022, I took a return trip to San Luis Obispo County to do some of the trails I had never done before and film the ones I did before I started making RUclips videos. Reservoir Canyon is a new hike for me, and I really enjoyed it! Located in the city of San Luis Obispo and labeled as moderate/ difficult at 4.9-miles round trip and 1,300 ft of elevation gain! This is a beautiful trail with a significant amount of shade during portions of the hike. Along the way, you will see a small waterfall, many beautiful trees, and a tree swing! Once you get to the very end of the hike you have .the most amazing panorama of the city of San Luis Obispo, Cerro de San Luis Obispo( Madonna Mountain), Bishop Peak, and the ocean in the distance! It's a beautiful yet somewhat challenging Central California hiking adventure!!

beautiful hike and thankfully, you had some shade off and on. that really helps. It really opened up up there though, wow. Amazing views and yes, it does look steep. Seeing Bishop Peak was awesome too. That sunset was amazing Eric!
I've been to San Luis Obispo quite a few times. I remember I was 1st introduced to the hiking here from a Motion episode and I just thought it was so beautiful! Greg actually did plan a lot of my past trips and I'm very thankful about that. My next video will be summiting Bishop Peak! Yes catching the sunset every time I'm in Morro Bay is just such a spectacular show for me! Thanks for watching Nicole!
Bishop peak is cool. Look for the boulder caves at the summit and watch out for poison oak.

I am always happy to go back to an area I have been to before, as know what to expect and no two hikes are ever the same anyway. Looked a real shaded hike, which maybe was a good thing as it looked a hot hike, must admit, I have never seen a metal Tepee before 😳. It looked like it got real steep later on but worth it for the views you got and man did you get lucky with that sunset, what an awesome way to finish off the day, cheers Alan
Yeah this is a great area to go back to because I can always do some old stuff again and do some new stuff every time. I don't think the Indians used to have metal tepees back in the day lol 😆. Those would probably be really hot I'm sure on a warm day. It was a totally great hike and a magnificent sunset to end my day with for sure!! Thank you so much Alan I really appreciate it my friend!

It was such a beautiful hike with the trees going from one side to the other side! It is good it was shaded with that elevation gain. A butt-kicker that seems totally worth it! The views were wonderful. The sunset on Moro Bay was priceless. What a perfect day! Thank you for sharing it with us, Eric!

ooohhh, I love the swing there. I would for sure be enjoying that. Wow, those views are top notch. The light colors of the glasses are nice. You're going to be up every point in the area. That sunset is the perfect way to end the day! Great video brother.
Yeah the swing was really cool actually! This hike did have some great views! My next video I'll be doing Bishop Peak and that's another hike with a spectacular view. That day was a bit more clear so the views are even more beautiful on the next video. I absolutely love catching the sunset in Morro Bay every time I'm out there! It never disappoints! I wonder if the trickle waterfalls after a heavy rain storm becomes a real waterfalls, cool how you went form the green shaded area to almost a wheat field like open area at the top, loved the little bridge you crossed and yes the views from the top seeing the city and hills were amazing and to end with the sunset over the bay, very nice 👍👍thanks brother
Yeah I'm sure this waterfall flows a lot better at times just not when I was there lol. It obviously gets a lot of rain in that area because it was so green. Yeah the constantly changing landscapes of this hike was really cool. It's really fun to go up and just see everything change in front of you and your views open up! Yeah I love watching the sunset in Morro Bay! It definitely never disappoints!Thank you so much Craig I really really appreciate it my friend!!
