Excellent video. We visited yesterday. Drove 2010 Toyota RAVA4 front wheel drive only - next to last crossing was sketch because of the hill after we crossed the creek. Doable, but bigger tires with more grippy tread would be best. With last year‘s rain all the 12 crossings still had water. Awesome fun! More fun if you go in a four-wheel-drive vehicle - less stress. I have questions about the loop you took . Have you ever taken the trail from the bottom of big falls which connects back up to east Cuesta? No updates about this direction on trailforks since 2017.
Yes, I have done that! It's pretty neat, goes through pine forest on east Cuesta down to the live oaks in Lopez Canyon. Trail is easily navigable, with some overgrowth and downed trees along the way.
Often those little known mostly hidden gems contain major treasures. Really beautiful. Thank you for sharing Julian. Randy/GA
That sure is true! Thanks Randy :)
Absolutely phenomenal!
Thanks bro, you were the star of the show!

That’s awesome, I’m glad you were able to make it and enjoy the falls!! 4WD definitely makes the crossings smoother
That looks like a great spot! Im gonna have to check it out!
Hey, this is Matt! I'm the guy with the rooftop tent on the prius! Cheers bro!
Hey Matt, I’d definitely recommend it! Hope your trip is going well!
Awesome video 😎
Thank you!
Grew up in that area. Big falls is awesome. Crazy high jumps above that too.
It’s a neat area for sure, I was too afraid to do the higher jumps!
Awesome video of the Central Coast. Which part of the trail was the small pool at time marker @4:27 ?
Thank you!! That was on the way up to big Falls.
How far is it back driving, and how far back walking after you drive your 4x4
Upper Lopez Canyon road is about 10 miles from start to finish, and the hike itself is 2.3 miles!
hey great video! btw how far is the hike from the parking?
The waterfall is about 5 miles round trip if you have a 4x4 to get down the road!
@@julianmadridadventures what if you don't?
@@azizzarehbin2849 it would be another 3.5 miles each way!

Let's go back to the waterfall, before November.
Do you have a 4WD?
